From what I've seen over the last few weeks, recovery food is not amazing. There's some decent stuff happening for supper, some awesome greens, some meat and then Ugali (ground corn) but so many of the guys just have tea and bread as a post-run meal.
@BensleyDRAKE2 жыл бұрын
For most of us (Kenyan not Elite runner lol) there isn't any special diet just a light breakfast before the run (Tea and bread) normal lunch and supper our staple food is Ugali so maybe a lot of Ugali, beef and skumawiki (Kales) which btw is what 80% of the population would have on a normal day...I personally can't do the paces this guys are doing but its not in the nutrition lol

Guys but why their legs have no muscles and why do footballer have muscle but stamina also. Can anyone tell me?
@sweatelite3 жыл бұрын
Angus here. An interesting thing I learnt recently is that one of the benefits for Kenyan runners, especially those from the Iten region, is that their leg strength to muscle mass in lower legs is very good. It is not good for running efficiency to have high muscle mass in the lower legs. Imagine wearing small weights around your ankles (or having wet/muddy shoes) it is way more difficult to run than if that weight was around your waist or even upper legs. As for why footballers can have more bulk, I am not sure, maybe for short bursts it is ok to have bulk or that for changing direction/acceleration more bulk is better than higher efficiency.

I wan to know where do kenyans get money to afford those 200 dollar plus shoes? unless you have a sponsors it is impossible not to mention other gear you need and time and DIET( isotonic drinks, jells that and this). Not to mention how many pairs you need in a year(6 pairs?). And these folks dont work. I know white folks dropped it on their credit card and it is nearly 10k dollars already. BOOK IT! This has become an expensive endeavor as is.
