Yesterday’s was my 100th day. I skipped a couple of days in the first 2 weeks and then made a rule that if I missed a day I had to start over. I never missed again. There were a few 24 hour periods when I crawled out of bed at 11 p.m. to do it and get back on track. I was surprised that the last 3 days were difficult to finish. That was an eye opener. There is a big change in my physical body, my emotions and my understanding and acceptance of myself. My food choices have improved greatly. Shingles are still here but they’ve eased. Yes, I am Drinking more water. Thank you. If you are thinking of trying this program, I encourage you to give yourself this gift of 100 Days of Tai Chi that will give back to you in ways that will that will surprise you. I’ve just completed Day 101. Best wishes to you.

I'm glad to have seen this as I am on my second day. With my other self improvement "things" I do, this has helped put me ease a lot. Especially now that I'm waiting on my university acceptance letter. I do physical training with dumbbells and that got my aggression up a bit so this is balance myself more so. I'm sure I'll stick out to a 100 days since I am very determined. May I ask how you went about this? Like did you use this video primarily or go to the other modules over time, maybe even jumping back and forth between them all. I ask because my current plan is to focus on 1 module for every 2 weeks.

Hi… thank you for your interest. Because I can easily get distracted, I chose to stay with this one video every day. That felt more honest because of my personal issues with commitment and not finishing things. If I bounced around to other videos/practices I’m pretty sure I would probably not have completed 100 days. In fact it never occurred to me to do that and I’m thankful for that! It sounds like you have a lot going on and maybe creating one constant routine for your schedule for 100 days would be beneficial. You know yourself and how you think and feel which will help you create what’s right for you.

I stopped the video after watching only 52 seconds. Why? So I could post my thoughts and tell you this woman is amazing and gets it. Once I heard her say it's not important to move correctly but what's important is taking the time to practice daily, I was like right on lady. I turn 59 in July and still dance everyday to psychedelic trance music like a kid at an EDM festival. I even practice my own style of martial flow which is completely made up from watching years of kung fu movies and YT videos. Motion is lotion and you just gotta stay moving.

At 73 years I "tried" a tai chi free class at a local community hall. Hooked me in instantly. Found Leia's Tai Chi modules that night and now at day 14. Already have changes - constant sinus mucus reduced 80%. Gas in abdomen reduced greatly. Thigh muscles strengthening and at the end of just module 1 (10 mins) my body feels like all of it has been moved around. Leia's statement of "not important you move correctly" resonated with me and after just 14 days of moving daily my body is now automatically fine tuning my tai chi movements. Leia ... Thank you so much for this wonderful gift and I look forward to working my way through all of your modules. Being a Kiwi in Australia the beautiful location on module 1 helps enormously too.

I am 62 with severe OA and RA (I am scheduled for my 3rd hip replacement in a month because my bones keep disintegrating), fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. I started practicing with you a week ago and found I could do all the movement in spite of a hip almost immobilized due to bone loss, shoulders bound up w/arthritis and knees that have no cartilage left. This FEELS SO GOOD!! I can't believe how (relatively) painless it is and how invigorated I feel afterward. I do this when I take a break from working (I am writing a book based on twenty years of my research) and have found it clears my head and I'm able to go back to work refreshed and without that dull head ache that comes everyday about 2pm. It is a joy to watch you and follow along. Thank you.

Unlike most people here cracking jokes about it I actually appreciate this for what it is. I have a back problem which affects my legs and makes it difficult for me to get even basic exercise. For all the technical commentators - please understand that people entirely new to soft martial arts cannot possibly absorb their foundational philosophies, strategies and methodologies as they are way too complex. This video is aimed for lay people, the elderly, the mildly distressed etc to follow and absorb. The demonstration here is a superlative example of deep knowledge translated for easy absorption by the uninitiated casual user and has the potential to produce almost 'instant' - within one week - benefit. Once initiated, the participant can advance on to the more elaborate and technically sophisticated forms. Taiflow - kudos to you in Spades! Please keep it up and thank you!

No. As Yang Luchan said to Yang Banhou, "Can this be t'ai chi?" T'ai chi ch'uan (taijiquan) doesn't feature independent movement of the arms, such as that depicted in the push in the videoclip.

Asa Imma Nice try at providing an excuse, but no, that's still wrong. Moving incorrectly isn't the same as giving layered explanations. Instead, moving incorrectly is only moving incorrectly. And the effect of modeling incorrect movement--while claiming that it's taijiquan--is to propagate incorrect movement in those who believe the demonstration because they don't know any better. In other words, it's fraud.

Dude, I think you need to do some meditation on why you're being so nit-picky and upset about this. Fraud? That's just silly. First, she's not selling anything. Second, she is not advertising this as perfect forms. This is for beginners just engaging with these sorts of movements. And it is helping many people, as you can read in many of the comments on here. How is that a bad thing?

I had been searching KZbin for beginner’s Tai Chi and had been unsuccessful in my quest to find anything reasonable, until I Googled this and it brought me directly here. This video is a fantastic introduction to Tai Chi! I had taken a Harvard University online TaiChi course and they showed some basic moves, but never tied them together leaving me disappointed and feeling robbed. This instructor demonstrates the moves slowly and has a soothing and factual voice, leaving me with the feeling that I am being taught by someone who has good command of Tai Chi. Master Leia, I'm going to speak for all your students of Tai Chi, - thank you so much for these instructional videos. I'm not really flexible nor have I ever liked to do any particular sporting activity, so I was a little bit afraid I couldn't keep up, but I was surprised to find out these basic movements are pretty simple and elegant to do. I know that if I practise regularly, I'll eventually get much better, and maybe I'll be able to learn how to defend myself if needed. But, honestly, I think that Tai Chi is so much more than "just" a fighting combat technique. My Reiki always starts to flow when practising Tai Chi and it just makes me so happy! Although, I'm not doing it even nearly as flawlessly and elegantly, as you are, I can feel my body getting stronger and more flexible each time I practise with you. Thank you, Master, be blessed!

Now, I stayed up a bit later than I usually do and did a few simple exercises. They weren’t much but since I’m not used to it, it was hard. However, every morning I’ll get up and do more. If I have free time I’ll try this! I’ll keep it as something if I want an extra challenge! Thank you so much for this and remember, you don’t have to wait to exercise till you absolutely need it because, to be honest, you always absolutely need it! Thanks so very much for this wonderful video. I have severe upper back and shoulder pain as a result of a mastectomy and damage from radiation. This is the first time I’ve been able to exercise without triggering more pain. Hopefully a way to reclaim the life I once had!❤️

Thank you so much for putting up this post. My husband and I are both in our seventies and I have a chronic lung disease, but we're both finding these simple exercises amazingly helpful and look forward to doing them every morning. You have done a lovely and unselfish thing in reaching out to others. Thank you.

Practice the module 01 and 01b and also the Qigong for Stress and anxiety - Dr. Libby's getting into the green zone. You might be able to do module 02 but after that the level jumps and it might get too hard for you.

Beautifully executed Tai Chi exercises, leia is obviously a very good Tai Chi practicioner. I have been practicing Tai Chi for 37 years and would definitely recommend this practice if you are unable to attend a Tai Chi class.

Yes Leia is not saying that she was performing Tai Chi, but is showing people some Tai Chi like principles. Having taught a lot of 70-86 year old people the Tai Chi Form I have come to realise that it is not something everyone will be able to do. Especially when starting out later on in life. Therefore these beautiful exercises are just perfect for those and others in the position of not going to be able to go to a class.

san5324 sorry but I am not the sort of person who is usually replying to people who are looking for conflict as my time is best spent helping others who need relaxation, both young and old. Leia I think is also from this mold I think so well done her. Please try and find some time to do this yourself and you will see the benefits you can get from service. Wishing you well San but can no longer reply as I have Tai Chi classes to teach.

San I lived in China for 2 years at a traditional martial arts school where I practiced with my children 8 hours a day 6 days a week and we home-schooled in our free time. I may not have been there for 8 years but I believe it was long enough to learn and understand the meaning behind a traditional Tai Chi practice. Initially posting these videos, I was afraid to be judged by my compatriots who I trained at the school, some of them were there for 5-8 years but as Marcus said it is more important to share this with people who aren't able to go train in China or aren't able to make classes or simply aren't at that point and first need to dip their feet and see if it is something they might want to investigate deeper. This style is called Taijifit and I learned it from David Dorian Ross who has been a Tai Chi practioner for over 40 years and he was even on American TV. He uses the traditional Tai Chi as a base but adapts it so that people who have never done these kinds of movements can get into a flow state. Our world is sitting too much!!! Lets all get up and move, share the love and get into a flow state together. What a wonderful idea!

You are funny, maybe it is because I told you that you are behaving like my ex husband? How can I scam people out of money if the videos are free? This is what I love to do, I go to beautiful places with my camera man, sometimes by myself and I film videos that help people get up a move. I would love for people to come join my traditional Tai Chi class but first I have to get them moving and then I can book them in to learn the Wudang Tai Chi 28 form. Until then no money has been exchanged! As for Taijifit I am a part of that community and I have seen obese women lose weight, elderly women with hip problems find their flexibility and it is a wonderful community of people who are getting fitter everyday. Stop being so grumpy San and do something more positive for 5 minutes and I promise you will feel better.

Hello. I am on day 73 of this program. My days have not been consecutive, because I have Chronic Fatigue syndome, and some days I have zero energy. Added to that I had 10 Spinal injections at the beginning of November. I have persevered through the pain. The first time I did the session, I think I did a half a minute and was collapsing. Now I do the whole 1at Video, and can come times even go into the 2 nd video. I am 72 years old, and am feeling the pain get less and less.I have a feeling this will also improve my CFS. So Thank you Leia, for taking the time out to help old people such as myself. 3rd January 2023.

Finally, a form of exercise/movement that may be doable with my chronic pain. Doesn't have to be outdoors either, so if I need to stop and rest at any time, I can. Tried a few of the exercises, and I felt calmer as well (stress tends to worsen my symptoms). Probably won't become a daily ritual for me tbh, but definitely worth having in my "arsenal" of 'spoonie' coping mechanisms.

I had a friend who took traditional tai chi in a reputed school in the (very large) city I lived in a while back. She often commented that the sifu was abrupt and critical - he always found fault with something and would get angry and somewhat verbally abusive. This turned me off from trying as all I was looking for was smooth, relaxing movements. I checked lots of videos on KZbin but they were very technical and detailed and I needed to learn a whole new vocabulary in a language I had no interest in learning. This video is exactly what I've been looking for, so thank you for giving your time to the rest of us who only want peace and relaxation. Maybe one day I'll want to achieve perfect form and I'll be willing to spend 37 years on that, but it's not today :)

I am grateful that I found this video. I had watched quite a few videos before this one and although I am new to this practice, I was getting super frustrated because I felt the other instructors went too fast. This video helped me eliminate my stress by slowly guiding me through each move so I could then focus on what’s really important, my breath!

I've been inspired to learn 'Tai Chi' in this life and at long last, I am here. Your video has been the introduction I have been looking for. I thank you greatly. I have included your instruction into my Mantra, that it will take 100 days and the movement is not important, whereas the daily practice is important. For a long time I was becoming aware that the movement was instructed from within me, and that I would know what to do. Thank you again for your teaching. Namaste

I have v severe anxiety which has worsened with covid. A lot of people recommended meditation, but meditation just doesn't do it for me. I need something more active something that incorporates my body as well. and these videos do just the thing. the feeling of being a waterbender is an added advantage ofc :)) . thank you so much for these !!

I love tai chi. I took it in college as a way to try something new. I was very stressed and tired as a full-time student with two jobs. The days I had tai chi were always my favorite because I felt all my stress went away and I felt very relaxed and happy throughout my day. I’m hoping to pick it up again. Great video!
