Oh wow, the quick change of commands really kept the pup's attention! I'll have to try it with my reactive dog, I bet that's what I've been missing! Thank you for the videos!

What should I do if my puppy is not very food motivated? I see you marking and treating but she wont eat on walls because shes so distracted.

Hey Eric, I am a 19 year old aspiring trainer. I've been shadowing various trainers, working with trained and newbie dogs, and taking notes on books/ video content consistently for about 8 months now while in college (there's so much to learn but it's a start). For some reason, I am just stumbling across your content. Conditioning impulse control through purposeful repetition is something I plan to implement into my sessions after watching this video. I appreciate the content and I hope we can collab one day.

Hi Eric, thank you for this video. I have exactly this issue with my dog, but only with "selected" dogs. I do not know which "selection" method he uses to bark so strongly. Will this video of yours works with a Whippet? Good thing, he is very food driven so he might be doing well with treats at hand. Merci pour tes vidéos et ton avis sur la question. Amicalement. U

Hello, thanks for watching - The way I think of it - It's less about other dogs (meaning the dog being choosy about which dog to respond to) and more about setting expectations and rules that come with consequences, for the actual walk, for the actual (being outside) situation, so that the rules apply regardless of where you are, and regardless of what dogs are around - That's why I start off working on the rules, without the constant presence of other dogs! Hope that helps

How old? What are you struggling with at the moment?

@@ericandcaprithepup 5 months as of yesterday I can get her to heel sometimes other times especially on the way home she just pulls even though I am using a choke chain. But generally her manners are lacking though she not aggressive with it she just a very anxious and excitable young lady. Took us a good while from 3 1/2 -4 months old to leave the house without having to be dragged out the door and outside she isn't food orientated at all. Many thanks for replying

@@ericandcaprithepup up date: I can get her to walk almost beautifully first half of the walk and I am slowly desensitising her to the outskirts of my town centre however traffic is still making her jumpy and she still pulling as soon as we turn to home do I just persevere? Many thanks
