I already completed courses from the Gemology Institute of America to be credited as an applied jewelry professional. I intend to continue my grad work while specializing in gemology. And yes, we do drink copious amount of beer at base camp and may or may not have stolen the flag from the knife ears of UT Austin one drunken night and used it as leverage to reserve the better campsite for next year.

As a man of neither extrem height, nor lack there of, allow me to offer a third choice, one for those of us caught in between. The Men of the West or Ranger pill. Learn outdoors skills, but don't forgoe martial weapons. Learn to shoot and to track, but also smoke a lot, and forge fine weapons. Grow out your stubble, but keep it groomed. And above all else, practice both good cardio and a well rounded weight lifting regime. Also be friends with both dwarf pilled individuals and elf pilled individuals.

When i started playing Deep Rock Galactic i discovered how much fun being true to myself is. Then i started listening to Wind Rose all day and it never got bored. You know when I was young, I used to want to be an elf in a fantasy world. After all, why not? In all fantasy settings, they are depicted as beautiful graceful creatures, with high culture. Memes aside, metal smithing, carpentey, and forgery are all excellent, fulfilling past times that create real, meaningful products. Forgery and metal smithing somehow combine most of science, technology, engineerimg, and even mathematics with RAW TESTOSTERONE. A dwarf with good metal working equipment flexes his mind, not just his body. Metallurgy requires years of study, chemistry, and so on. So while we are talking memes here, working at an actual forge and with actual metals, even as a hobby, enriches the whole person.

Dont worry about an anvil get an anvil shaped object for example a sledge hammer head put into a hole on a stump so the head sticks out a good 5-7.5cm or 2-3 inches, the top of your anvil shaped object should line upto where your knuckles are if you stand up, arms down by your sides and make a fist, as for a forge you can literally make a basic dirt forge with a wheelbarrow filled with dirt/sand and a metal pipe to feed air to the coals and use charcoal or if you are really stuck for money bits of wood can work though it will take longer for your steel to get upto temp As for a hammer you dont want something too heavy or youll destroy your shoulder so a 1kg or 2.2lb hammer with a somewhat polished striking face (use sandpaper until its relatively smooth and polished but doesnt need a mirror finish) make sire the edges of the hammer face is somewhat rounded over or youll get cold shuts in your workpiece. Forging is great fun and remember that every piece of metal is too hot to touch until it is proven to be cold by either spitting on it, or using the back of your fingers to feel for heat and then touch the steel with the back of your fingers so if you do burn yourself you can still hold your hammer and tongs without burns on your palms
