As an ecologist I can tell you: Don't be so blasé. At no time in the history of Earth have there been 8 billion humans or such a rapid and unsustainable population growth as in the 20th and early 21st century. It literally is not comparable to the collapse of small historical kingdoms or empires. At no point in history before the now did humans cut down forests at such a rapid rate (we started with that during the Bronze Age) with devastating effect for the water cycle, cover the Earth in (micro)plastic, poison the environment with massive amounts of pesticides, acidify the oceans via the CO2 from the fossile hydrocarbons we are digging up (with CO2 and CH4 levels climbing towards concentraitons last seen during the Permian Extinction) and build megacities so huge they are literally creating their own microclimate (hotter than the surrounding countryside) and sucking up water from hundreds of kilometers away and even affecting the tectonic plate below them through their sheer weight. (I'm not making this up.) We are living in the Anthropocene. That has nothing to do with feeling "important". Why do you think scientists all over the world are suffering from something psychologists have now dubbed "pre-traumatic stress disorder"? But hey, I know postmodern historians are mainly concerned with the academic worldview of using the correct terminology and pontificating about postcolonialism and other -isms. But you might want to take a look at the collapse of the Eastern Island ecosystem and culture. Or how the Maya civilization collapsed long before the arrival of Europeans due to decades-long droughts and resulting failed harvest and wars, because in Mayan times most of the tropical rainforest had been cut down and the rain... disappeared. The Mayas did well, for a time, building elaborate cisterns and water infrastructure systems. But at some point it just wasnt enough.

But, we all end because of mortality. I think the fear of death instigates a lot of conspiracy theories and mayhem in some people's minds. They want to spread it thinner by sharing it with people. @@paladinheadquarters7776 Actually, if you want to get technical, the internet is really robust. The internet is called the World Wide Web because a web is how it looks with all the internet networking points connecting to each other. In an apocalyptic scenario, if one city goes kablooey, the internet in that city will be gone, but it would still be up in the rest of the world. So, depending on the type of apocalypse, the internet in your city would still be working (admittedly not as healthy as usual with less connection points) until the city, and yourself, goes BOOM!

I love the accuracy of this video. If the world is gonna end, do it now and relieve us all of societal chains. If it's not going to happen any time soon, the relief of knowing we still have plenty of time to turn this shit around is fantastic. In a time when we're currently watching Society and the Environment race to see which will kill us all first, with the timer currently set to triple pace on the countdown, any reason to think we can stop the race before the finish line is a positive.

You know what, these plot twists not only took me right tf out, but also blindsided me with their beauty. I was NOT expecting the reaction to the horse guy changing the sign to be this positive and i actually need a long moment to think about how wholesome and True this video is. And then i did not expect the unexpected horse, and that of course is the most beautiful and philosophical moment of the story, its crowning glory, if you will.

The GOP are literally LUCIFERIANS, coming in God's name, hailing rTump a literal golden God, aan who can't quote a single Bible verse who paints himself gold and lives in a golden tower, exhibits every single one of the seven deadly sins, Christian Zionists believed they established the state of Israel specifically to fulfill prophecy.......😒 Maybe we shouldn't give nuclear weapons to people like that who would use them to fulfill THE RAPTURE.
