How To Make and Apply Vinyl Decals With Your Cricut

Just a tip here, as I used to be a professional with large format vinyl installations long ago. Big or small, same rule applies here. Never eye ball and apply your decal as shown in the video unless precision does not matter to you. Too many things can go wrong as well. Instead, take a piece of masking tape and apply at the top of the decal and then postion it on the substrait (You will be able to see through it for the edge reference). Now the benefit here is you can take a ruler, or measuring tape (large sizes) and postion the decal with accuaracy. We had a saying back in the day, the ruler NEVER lies. Measure twice, install ONCE. When you're happy with everything simply peel the backing and apply down - carefully moving from the top to the bottom motion w/pressure. Finally pull the the pre-mask OFF from the now backside carefully making sure none of the vinyl comes up. Great tip by cleaning the surface is made by the pretty lady. If you follow this method, you will not have to do it over by mistake or endure someone making a sarcasitic comment as to why the decal is crooked. Nobody needs that, so avoid it. Plus your work will be spot on and you can be proud of it which you should be. Hope this helps.

I've never had an issue with placement and I'm definitely not a professional. I use it when I need shirts or decals for my businesses. It depends on who you are and how your mind works. It's all just measurements.

If you're using Cricut brand, that's the issue... We have never been a fan of Cricuts' glitter vinyl, it is one of our least favorite products they carry. Hard to transfer! Here is our favorite brand of glitter vinyl: bit.ly/3oAHNtG

You must have the PNG :) Upload the SVG next time, or you can go back into the Canvas in Design Space and at the top of the screen look for the "fill" drop down. Click it, click "no fill" and it will change from print to cut :)
