The fear of rejection is actually far more influential and debilitating than the fear itself. While rejection happens fast, the sting doesn't last that long (even though it feels that way.)
Fear of rejection, on the other hand, can cripple you for long periods of time before the event in which rejection could happen ever happens. So let's tap on the fear of it, which also mitigates the sting as well.
