The box on the back of the M1A1HC is an APU (auxiliary power unit), allowing it to decrease fuel consumption while idle.

Makes sense. I was expecting an armour package to be honest given the stat changes... and obviously this isn't that.

Another fantastic video, gents! My favorite part was the discussion about the Apache! When I was a kid, we lived at a military base in Germany. As part of school field trip, we got to visit a hangar and see a bunch of cool stuff, but my favorite part was when they took us each up in an Apache, one at a time! It was only for a minute and they had completed disabled every button in the back seat, but it was a blast! The Apache will always be my favorite helicopter. 😁 ~ Wolfbrother Methos

Ordered one on eBay, hope to receive it mid-next week. Hoping I can incorporate the M1s and Bradleys from the starter into the army. It doesn't look like the Start Here guide includes HMMWV assembly instructions - I mean, they're simple enough (but most are) and I know the instructions are available on the spotlights online, as you say. Can't wait to get started! I only wish it also included a pair of A-10s, as most army boxes have a pair of helicopters and a pair of fixed wing aircraft. I suppose I could just put some wings on an M1 and have the same effect :D

If you can't find the instructions you need ping us a message through the contact form on the website and I will send you a picture or link.

@@ModellingforAdvantage Thanks, I appreciate it but I'm pretty sure the spotlight page for the box on the webstore will have links. I'd shop with you if there wasn't this ocean in the way :)

The 'sharks teeth' are for use on the Cobra rather than the Apache helo. Challenger and Abrams are expensive, so you won't be running many on the table. I'm not sure that Bradley or Warrior are worth the points as infantry transport. I went with the FV432 for my Brits and used the points elsewhere. We have yet to see the new Soviet list, so maybe it will even out, or the standard game will creep to 120 points (as long as you both agree to spend the extra points on the 'new' units). A T-55 horde at 120 points would be horrible :)
@ModellingforAdvantage4 жыл бұрын
Bradley looks like a capable scout vehicle though, and with the potential to kill a very expensive tank using the TOW missile, seems like a reasonable choice.
@Subcomandante734 жыл бұрын
@@ModellingforAdvantage Bradley Scout Platoon is 6 points for 2 vehicles. You can get 4 Hummers (2 platoons) with Tow 2 for the same cost. Good to have options, and the Bradley is certainly more robust :)
@ModellingforAdvantage4 жыл бұрын
I guess 6 points is a lot in this game.
@Subcomandante734 жыл бұрын
@@ModellingforAdvantage It is when you spent most of the points on those lovely new M1A1's :p Two platoons of Tow-2 Hummers would cover more ground that one platoon of Bradley's, but the Bradley's might stick around for longer on the table. The Bradley is probably a good counter to the Soviet BMP's, and we really won't be able to see what is the 'best' list until we see the new Soviet book later this year.
