A locking knee is something Jack should get checked out. Could be what's called a flap-tear of the meniscus. He could do more damage if he doesn't address it.

A slap tear occurs in the shoulder not the knee. Superior labrum, anterior to posterior are known as labrum tears. Crepitus occurs in many joints and unless accompanied with pain are most often just connective tissue crossing the joint line or gasses being released between the joint. Jack will be fine, ironically it’s his shoulder that is screwed 😂

How long did that 4x3 squat session take you in its entirety? (i.e. bottom-up front squats, front squats, and quarter front squats). Great strength routine but seems like a very long session.
