This is one of the most powerful Tedx talk I have ever listened to and hearing the introduction in my language Igbo is quite empowering. As one of theearlist subscribers to your chanel from 2012 or 2013 .. I must say I'm really proud. Thank You!

Why am I crying 😢. This was so relatable. Especially when people see you as a failure. Thank you so much. I was so inspired and encouraged even in my 50s. God bless you Adanna

Wow wow 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤️❤️❤️ The timing of this talk came at the the right time!!! I QUIT my high ranking and high paying job on the 12th May 2023, a day I will remember vividly! I am sitting here watching you and updating my CV as self employed and with projects I am working on. The fear of not being able to please people plagued me for 3 years when I first felt I should have QUIT but I’m proud the day came, 2nd week of the month, not end, I had had enough. The joy an excitement of my journey now and having watched your TED TALK, HA🙋🏾♀️ could not be expressed in this message enough. You have encouraged me it almost feels like you put a seal on my path! Thank you for your vulnerability and your wisdom to empower others. I have watched your videos from when you met your husband and have an idea what your journey has been like. Congrats on such a powerful Ted Talk 💥🎉🎊

Igbokwenu!!! You completed your program and thats what matters. The world is your playing ground. Do whatever pleases you now, as long as it's honest. The knowledge is not wasted. Great talk.

Your message is so relatable. Especially about feeling like a failure because of trying to make your parents proud. Doing what they would want you to do instead of doing what makes you happy. Well done, Lady Adanna. 👏 ❤🎉. I'm writing my own story!

I have followed you as you told your story through the years, I remember your honesty after George Floyd… how was your position mistaken at times with a stethoscope around your neck. The beauty of your relationship with your family was all encompassing as I embraced the beautiful Nigerian and German culture. Thank you for swinging the hammer ❤

It is empowering to make choices for your own path. Women especially struggle to choose themselves in the midst of many responsibilities bestowed on them by society and the SELF. Continuing on the journey of BECOMING...Thank you for this deep reflection

You don't carry a light of 'victimhood'. However as a 'foreigner' younger smaller sized woman + mother , I can imagine the unspoken prejudice and lack of confidence you must have experienced in the medical field. You are still a Dr though. You have your hard earned medical degree and no one can take that from you. You can use it to do unimaginable things -just as you are doing with your business. All the best to you in your ongoing journey. Lots of prayers for continued strength and guidance.

Listening to this......I am already seeing myself taking a walk finally from Medicine and Surgery.😅
@highlyfavored243410 ай бұрын
There is nothing wrong with that as long as that is truly what you want. My mentor who encouraged my journey into medicine asked me once when I was facing a dilemma of the long road ahead " picture yourself in 10 years if you will still love where you're at and what you do" . I said no, and I continue to charge ahead. Its not easy but I absolutely check in with myself that I am doing this for me and not because it will make my family proud or given me prestige. And any moment it doesn't feel right, it is ok to walk away.
