2007 Mustang GT Review (Worth The Money?)

07 Mustang GT Convertible Owner here and yes. It's worth it. I gap stock coyotes and scat packs daily and even they love it when the underdog pulls on em. Supercharged, with forged internals, drivetrain, suspension and exhaust upgrades. Yes, I spent almost as much as a used Coyote would cost but I'm not riding around in a used stock coyote. I'm in a 1 of 1. There's more value and appreciation for a custom build than some shit kid fresh off the lot in a hellcat. So anyone who says throw away the 3v has probably never seen a charged 3v in action. When you build it yourself with your own hands, you'll love it more. Imagine having a kid born without legs and you build him a powered wheelchair. That's how I feel about my 3v. 😑🥲 But.... When I finally blow it up, I'd definitely swap in a 5.0. sheesh. S197 comeback story. 😏

When my 3v blows up, I’m not putting a coyote in it. I’m dropping in a the gas 7.3 and either convert to a 6 speed manual or use a 10r80.

He should buy it and slap a roush m90 kit on there. Exhaust, high flow cats with long tubes, VMP 500 pulley and intake kit... Custom tune... 500+hp

Good review. This would be a great buy for anyone who wants to tinker and just have fun driving on the open road. I have an '05 GT deluxe. The 4.6 is a rock solid engine. One of the best Ford ever produced. It is so upgradable. Yeah all plastic interior, but do not have the same problems with the doors as the premium does (bought in 2013 w/97K, basically stock.) Added: Hurst Shifter, Gen 6 sequentials, Retro bucket headlights , LED fogs, darkened turn signals and ctr brake lights, and adj. strut tower brace. New carpet and recovered front seats with new foam($1700 local guy). Replaced alt. twice and tires twice. Power Stock brakes (incl calipers) front and back. Put 100K since and driven cross country too many times to count. Ave 28-30 MPG on those trips. This car still rocks and is fun to drive., especially with the top down.

I like your insights. Would you recommend as a first car? I'm thinking about picking up something like this, but then I hear things about its fuel economy or its weird steering. Or a Focus (From what I hear have pretty flawed Trans and Battery)

@@nintony2994 My late father had a Focus hatchback. Even with regular maintenance, he still had some issues. I would definitely recommend a 4.6 '06 or later. Crash tests have shown my '05 has some pretty weak A pillars. Still a blast to drive though.

I bought a completely stock 07 gt premium convertible, 5 spd manual, black with stock chrome wheels, 40k miles for $15,500 in Phoenix in April 2022. I'm really happy with it. Engine is strong, drives nice, looks great. I'm adding Borla ATAKs and a CAI soon. Maybe a supercharger at some point. Love the car and the styling.

Great review! I own a 2005 Ford Mustang GT and I have no complaints! I get that a 3v isn't as quick as the newer coyotes but I honestly haven't had any issues out of it and she's still quick!

The clicking noise in the dash when you first start it is the stupid accuator that controls the airflow between the defrost and a/c air vents. Very annoying.

my brother gave me his old 2007 mustang gt, it’s got some issues (broken seal causing water to run inside the car) which i have an appointment for, but it still runs good, transmission used to give me problems but i got that fixed. i was planning on selling it and buying a car but i have hope for her 🚗💨

Under your wiper trim is the location for your cabin air filter check The rubber grommets when they get plugged up they leak water in the car.

I've got an 07 convertible GT . I wasn't impressed by the 2015 5.0. It wasn't worth the change . The weight , the torque band and I have a tune . The style alone with the tune is nice 👌

Just recently purchased one of these. I absolutely love the 05-09 Mustang and it’s the best looking in my opinion. Never been a fan of making my car look like something it’s not. I think people should be proud of owning a GT it still looks damn good, and plenty of aftermarket mod’s exist for them. I’ve seen some sick GT’s that were not having an identity crisis! If you have a GT “keep it G” 😂😂😂

I know right, I just bought an 06 Mustang GT just like this that only has 100,000 miles on it and it's actually suped up with all kinds of stuff done to it and it sounds mean as hell with pipes too plus alot more and has been well taken care of and only payed $10,000. Mine is not a convertible though. My GT is literally sick as hell and that thing will get it I'm telling you. Lol.
