Best sentence to sum up the T7 on youtube “friendly but not boring”. If we can get over our egos, this is what 99% of adv riders ever need. Personally what decided things for me was the ergonomics (I am 190cm and 86kg), this thing feels like it was designed just for me.Excellent review, I agree with all your conclusions, keep up the great work!

Would love to have had the chance to get one of these bikes and go riding with him . Still plan on traveling back to Sweden to see some of the places and people I met when visiting my mother's family . Nice to hear that Swedish accent again . This bike is one the very short list of future bikes that I might buy when 1. they are available in the U.S. and 2. I scrape the cash together to afford it . Great video , thanks guys .

@@ronbosgra8230 the power of the T feels not more less than the power of the AT. At the German Autobahn it haf a Vmax of 200+. The T has so much Torque i find compared to the HP. @@fabianbeyerle thanks for replying. I too ride the German Autobahn (from Holland). Because my AT broke down, I traded it for CrossTourer. My wife needs the car and until she can lease, I'll (have to) stick to the CT. This is a 285kg V4 130hp beast, great for my work commute and holiday/weekend trips, but I really prefer 2 cilinders engines and the occasional fire road. The T7 being this light is good news! Great post. The bike is very good but let's not forget, bikes like this are designed with the aftermarket industry in mind. Aftermarket improvements such as a the larger fuel tank, rear suspension upgrade and better tires are certainly being developed at the moment. You don't want to change too much on the bike, otherwise, it may have been better too purchase the Tenere 1200. What would be great if you could do a long hard ride over a couple of days to test the limits of the bike?

Great review... Have you tried the 701?..i like the Yamaha.. But too much road oriented I think?.. Or am I wrong?
@Kaegis5 жыл бұрын
The 701 is a total purpose-built bike, it is an off-road weapon with the ability to handle on road well. That means weight saving, it's a lot lighter than a Teneré because it's purposely designed to be thrown around off-road. A Teneré is like an SUV of the bike world. It's an all terrain touring bike, capable both on and off road but not purely designed for either. If you want to throw a bike around in the bush, the 701 is the better choice of the two, but if you want to do a bit of dual purpose, dual sport riding in comfort and have a bit of gear on and better range, the Teneré is a better choice.

@matty d Thank you. Have you ridden both?
@Xavii19864 жыл бұрын
@matty d i own the 790 and i tried the T700, it was really fun. Few days before i tried the Tiger 900 rally pro and it was boring as hell sorry to triumph, i really don't like that bike. But to compare the T7 vs the 790 adventure R you are completely correct. The Yamaha looks and feels cheaper, if you look at the plastics and built quality (no bolt on subframe btw!) and if you take in account all the electronics (if you need them that's another discussion) the slipperclutch, ride by wire (cruise control), illuminated knobs, rally mode and 94 hp that feels like 120.., tft dash, and premium suspension that makes the 790 adventure R really cheap! I really don't get why people are not coming to this conclusion? I don't think thats better or people need it but its premium quality. I think 10k for such a basic bike is not cheap compared to what you get on the 790 adventure. Now to the riding experience, i think the T7 is even better balanced than the 790 adventure and a slightly more agile. Ergonomics are better and also the wind protection feels better ( for real i treid everything and i'm sick of the buffeting on highway speeds on that 790). The engine is SUPER linear which makes it softer predictable and less exhausting but also less exiting than the 790. The T7 is jerky as the reviewer said on this video in the first initial flip of the throttle and it bothered me a little. It doesnt feel underpowered but significantly less power than 790 in rally mode (batshit crazy that mode :p). The suspenion on the ktm is superior and more stable but also good on the T7. I prefer the T7 offroad personally because i like the standing position and balance more (and the fact that the bike chugs along as with the 790 that starts to stutter in low revs.... On the street the 790 is alot more exciting and fun to me since it's a little hooligan machine :P the slipperclutch and (cornering abs/Tc) make it amazing to handle the power. I'm also not used not to have a slipperclutch so my rear wheel was sliding alot (supermoto :p) while gearing down agressively

Riding real off road / trails is formally not allowed here. But if you go to places outside the urban areas , especially in the north or really anywhere close to the norwegian border, very few people will care. So few people. Just keep a low profile whenever you are close to houeses and people and never disturb or destroy. Use common sense!

Good review but you know you need knobby tires in wet mud and clay...

Arlanda och norrut. Bland annat i det klassiska endurospåret i kraftledningsgatan mellan Arlanda och Forsmarks kärnkraftverk!

Great bike all round but for me I would still buy a KTM690ER because it is 100lbs (45kg) lighter with better power to weight ratio, FAR better suspension! traction control, off road ABS and better fuel consumption. Also it is easy to fit extra tanks to give the longest fuel range of all adventure bikes. There is hardly any difference in the price NOW that Yamaha has raised the price and KTM has lowered theirs with offers currently across the range.
