I'm not even joking, I use the frontier justice a lot on the engineer and the way bullet spread treats me a lot is that I can snipe for about 72 damage with a crit boosted shot while if they are right in my face the RBS hits for 18 damage or completely miss. That is basically random bullet spread for you: 2 shot a sniper for 72 damage each shot from relatively long range XD One of my favorite things I gotta say tho. I have considered to get a Panic Attack mainly for my pyro tho in Strange Unusual But I'll likely wait until after the next major update to see if more items are added to the war paint able list.

Also fun fact: If you disguise in spawn, it doesnt take away all your cloak like it would outside of spawn. It is annoying to not be able to change disguises, especially if youre in a pinch and need the cloak. its really situational.

My personal opinion is that the Panic Attack should be split into two weapons Equaliser-style, with one having the new, useful stats, and one having the classic meme stats. If Valve doesn't want a meme weapon - just give it straight buffs, like increasing the rate of fire or removing the spread-increasing downside. Some people want the fun meme weapon, some people like the useful new weapon, and this would make them both happy.

They don't even have magazines, they have a tube which holds the shells and feeds them into the chamber sequentially. There is neither a magazine containing shells, nor a clip. The shells are fed directly into the gun without needing a rationing mechanism of either variety

Easy. The tube is the magazine. The thing that holds the ammunition is the magazine, whether detachable or not. A clip is apparatus used to load a magazine: it's not required, but for example it's faster to reload a Mosin-Nagant's fixed magazine with a clip of five rounds than feeding them individually.

The thing about the panic attack doing less damage at medium to medium far range is that soldier’s rockets are best for medium to medium far range, engineer already has the pistol for all far off threats, pyro can keep up with the majority of classes and heavy just doesn’t normally need to rely on the shotgun

Great vid. The old PA may have been shit for Pyro and Soldier but along with being a good option for the Engineer, this thing was the *shit* for Heavy. Particularly if you wanted to roam Medic free without the Tomislav or even stock. And if you were human fecal matter that had most of your hours on heavy spent with the Brass Beast, this thing was essential. Roam with all shells loaded, blow your load when you see an enemy, repeat until you decide to park your ass and start mowing people down with your primary. The lower health = faster firing and loading speed stat synergized incredibly well with your enormous health pool. I'm convinced this secondary was *the* way to make the Brass Beast a viable option that rivaled the Tomislav and stock and this combo actually turned Heavy into something other than holding m1 until you need to retreat for a sandwich break.

From what it sounds like, it'd be most effective with a hyper-offense or even a hyper-offensive *flank* pyro so for pyro maybe with something like the Backburner or the degreaser being paired with the panic attack. The Degreaser + Panic attack would be a good combo set, maybe even with the axetinguisher thrown in as well. As for the Backburner + Panic attack, that would be more focused on flanking as once you get in the right position behind the enemy you could deal some crit fire damage while then using the panic attack to deal with any scouts that may try to jump around you or to even try to pick off low health enemies that may try to escape, with this the powerjack I think would fit nicely in this due to its added boost in speed.

The pyro having shit for ranged options is why I prefer stock on him over the PA. Comparable damage up close and better harass. It can be fun to try flame combos with the PA but its more of a gimmick to me. For Soldier I like the PA because the speed helps you use it as a finisher and defensively while you already have a ranged option. Whether its turning a blind corner into someone or people purposefully getting close to force you to self damage you have a fast deploying and strong option for up close. Like pyros lingering flames theres also the rocket combo gimmick you can mess around with. Also In the vein of 'reeeee magazine not clip' shotguns have random pellet spread not bullet spread. :^)

The panic attack's faster switch-to speed has saved me more than enough times as Pyro. Flames are usually never enough to take down an enemy without having to take damage for me, so having the panic attack for close range helps. Plus, I helps me engage enemies outside my flamethrower range so it's all good

I should also mention this weapon has potential with Heavy if he EVER gets a primary that rewards a "fat scout" playstyle because it allows you to hold out the fists of steel full time without much downsides and swap to the panic attack when you successfully bait people to trying to melee passed your massive health pool. Even for a pub meme strategy it isn't too terrible you are just bogged down by having no primary synergy whatsoever. Keep in mind the downside to the fists of steel is essentially you are making yourself a sitting duck that cannot fight since your one reliable source of damage needs to be spun up so you get a ridiculous health pool but you don't necessarily have the ability to fend yourself off.

As well as being good for close up flanking I like this gun because it casts a wide net to find spies, lets soldier deal hefty damage point blank without killing himself and can drop a heavy before he turns around. The cons are that engineer has better weapons, heavy might as well just use his primary so it's rarely useful and heavy also has better shotgun options before you even consider food items, it's really best on solly or pyro if you're willing to drop some other fierce competition like flare guns and backpacks.

Direct hit + panic attack is really viable I found. It does require decent skill with the direct hit and well the panic attack can be used right after a direct shot, plus its great against pyros since the panic attack tends to surprise them, while the direct can deal with most other classes.

Also,shotguns have much larger effective range irl aaaand they dont disperse all their pellets after 3m,but rather most pellets are in a compact area. If a gun had that low of an effective range with such giant spread and "damage falloff",no country or army would use it. A fucking musket / bayonet is better.
