All jokes aside, spy actually does have a removed gun in the game files. It was called the “tranquillizer gun”, then the “dart gun”, then finally the “DNA gun”. It was all the same gun, when it was the tranquillizer gun and the dart gun, it shot a projectile that slowed enemies for a decent amount of time. It was later reworked entirely into the DNA gun, and this is what it did: The gun shot a projectile that slowed the target down for about one second. It also marked one enemy at a time for the rest of their life, and upon a successful backstab on a marked enemy you would transform into their class. You would also get all of their ammo and metal and all of that, but I personally think getting all of the enemy medic’s übercharge would be a bit too powerful so maybe you wouldn’t get that. It sounds ridiculous, but I personally think it would be a really cool concept if done right and given good downsides.

Fun fact: 6 chambers revolvers aren't the only type of revolvers. There are revolvers with 5 or less chambers and there are revolvers with 7+ chambers. Why is 6 chambers the "meta" number of chambers you may ask? It's probably 6 is the right amount of chambers to get the job and not take too long to refill said chambers with new bullets

The tracking idea would be useful against a nest considering the fact that it can track ammo. You could wait for the engie to be on low ammo so they go to get some. It would be useful for planned attacks. However, chances are they have a dispenser right next to them and other engies so it might be situational

I think this could be like a double edge sword : same stats as before but add that the ennemy gets 5 health every 5 second as long as they are marked, this is quite the way to nerf it, isnt it?
