In Thailand we don't add beans and bamboo shoot in green curry actually. Only meat ,thai eggpants, holy basil and some red chillies for decorate. But if you like that. It's OK.
@kathy2888 Жыл бұрын
Is that authentic? I see a lot of recipes with the bamboo shoot? and a lot of recipes without garlic and shallot?
@builder1266 Жыл бұрын
@@kathy2888 please watch Uncle Roger And trust me I'm Thai . We never add beans and bambooshoot in green crry. But we have red curry with bambooshoot or some spicy soup with bambooshoot and they don't add beans 🤣
@kathy2888 Жыл бұрын
@@builder1266 LOL. Well I followed a different recipe and it turned out amazing, and added bamboo shoots just because i like them. I do see a lot of variation among different thai chefs on the internet, so maybe it just depends on their region of thailand.
@kathy2888 Жыл бұрын
@@builder1266 Ive definitely never seen garlic and shallots, and lemon grass only because it's already grounded into the green curry paste.

Do you find that the store brought curry paste is too spicy after frying up to release its aroma? Is there a way to make it less spicy?
@KhinsKitchen3 жыл бұрын
Please reduce the amount if you do not like spicy and add extra lemon grass and creamy coconut milk will balance the spiciness.

it was delious but i had problems with the sickness of the souobit was too thin... i had 400ml of coconut milk and 200ml chicken stock but it does not look like your creamy curry, its way to thin. any ideas? also 2 tbsp of green curry paste were to spicy for my taste.
@KhinsKitchen3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for you comment Sebastian. If the coconut milk is too watery or low quality coconut milk make your curry sauce a bit thinner and not creamy enough. Please use good quality coconut milk from Asian Grocery Store. I recommend CHAOKOH brand or AROY D coconut milk and you can reduce the amount of curry paste if you do not like it too spicy. That will solve the problem.
@nataliebarley88973 жыл бұрын
Mine was also thin, can't find a thick coconut milk either. so near the end I added some corn flour mixed with water to thicken it a little, then cook it for a couple of mins and serve. Hope this helps!
@KhinsKitchen3 жыл бұрын
Hi Natalie, original Thai green curry sauce is not too thick like other curries. If you cant find creamy coconut milk , suggest to skip adding water. Hope this is helpful for you.
