This should be for both husbands and wife’s. As a husband I needed to hear this too.

This is a wonderful resource. All couples should be required to take your course before marriage! Thank you Paul!

I try to treat my husband the way I would want to be treated by him. That's my best advice I got but it's not always easy especially when he mostly doesn't do the same for me. But real love is sacrifice. Love your channel! God bless you!

If you scold your mind for having expectations, especially for fairness, you will feel love.

Things Not to say if you want a happy and treasure of a marriage- 1) You always do this or that 2) I am busy 3) I just wanted to have kids and you asked me to marry you(?) 4) “Honey, let’s take separate vacations !” 5) “So and so was a wonderful boyfriend “ (comparing is destructive) 6) “You shouldn’t do that! “ ( give advice ONLY when invited) 7) “ “ Why can you just listen to me?!!!” 8). “ We need to go to a marriage counselor” 9) “ You not a good father.” 10) “I am leaving you. “ Marriage is worth learning how to do well ❤️🙏😘

My spouse has been emotionally abusive towards me and has told our therapist that he is in the wrong but he still treats me with disrespect and shows no desire to be around me but still wants me around for some reason. I think it is because he knows I love him unconditionally. I set my boundaries by telling him to treat me with respect. We are going on vacation soon and there is so much tension. I was going to go on our vacation by myself so we can have time apart so I can refresh from the emotions I have when I am around him. I planned everything and paid for it all so should I still go with him and just try and work on myself since I shouldn’t go on vacation without him and keep working on myself? I like your videos and it helps me look at things in a different perspective but I have been told by my individual therapist and couples therapist that it could be healthy for me.

You are not expressing unconditional love to your husband and your therapists have no business telling you what to do as their vague reason is unhelpful. I am glad you are learning from the videos but you need more that this. There is a free 3-day trial for the course then a 90 day guarantee so you ought to sign up for it. themarriagefoundation.org/system/ Your marriage is so ready for happiness

I have been listening to your videos for around a month. I think you are clear: women are the ones who have the skills to build and keep a happy marriage. So, we have to love more and try to understand less our husbands 😀

That is a good observation and is generally true but there are men, too who must shoulder the responsibility for turning their marriages around and some do it very well. But, generally speaking tapping into the heart is easier for women to understand because of the biology of a woman that makes them the nurturers of offspring. Good job listening.

How about when a wife says that she needs boundaries to feel safe and the boundaries end up in the husband being outside of the fortress so that way she can maintain control to feel safe, not that her husband was really unsafe ...
@TheMarriageFoundation3 жыл бұрын
If your wife feels unsafe then you can change the dynamics in your relationship by changing your thinking so she feels safe, again. ... Did I understand your question?
