I’m a 26 year old and I do like practical gifts. But I definitely get that about household appliances. My husband used to get practical gifts, now he usually gets me jewelry and it is very meaningful to me, and he loves it too when I go out wearing nice gold jewelry he got me:)

Wow! How right on point you are as a man. Crazy thing is, my husband has never felt my raw love… “Hear beyond my words” yes, I have loved him unconditionally he knows I love him but if I’m totally honest he hasn’t even experienced my full heart! That experience is only brought out when my guard is down and I feel 100% Raw love back. Thing is only he can bring that out in me. Not even I can bring this kind of pure love out. Thank you so much! Your videos are so spot on.

The goal is to love him regardless of his actions, love is you, it is always there, learn to love him unconditionally so you are swimming in the joy that is part of love.

I actually do like practical gifts. It just depends on what it is. I get stressed if he spends money on frivolous stuff. If he gives me practical gifts, it helps me feel like he honors and respects me in my role. He's helping empower me to be able to accomplish my goals more efficiently. I'm also really good to receive something like a full body massage, a weekend getaway, or gift cards to decorate the house how I want it.

Generalizations are generally true and individuals are not required to fulfill the outer conditions but to have a happy marriage but are advised to master their mind and use their powers of discernment as well as learn to love, unconditionally.

That thing about sex is so true. I think it's annoying and ridiculous that we let men off the hook about their relationship with sex as just recreational. I don't want my husband to just pretend sex is sacred. Cause even if he doesn't tell jokes or stories, I'll be able to sense his disregard for its sanctity but I won't be able to pinpoint why I feel confused or upset of he just hides his disregard for the sanctity of sexual intimacy. Men need to be virtuous as much as women. If not, they aren't worth being with.

Women have the responsibility in their marriage to lead the way with love and compassion, not criticism and berating. Uplifting your marriage is sacred.

There is sex, and making love. Many of us want both, and not simultaneously. Eroticism is important to us as well.

I agree there is that level but I disagree in the way that we would put all women in that category especially in the last 20 years or so I don't feel nor believe that the women of today even understand this about themselves or about marriage They themselves have had twisted sexual relationships before marriage and bring their twistiness into the marriage.

I've been making all these mistakes for 40 years. I've been in a sexless marriage for the last 10 years. I've been trying to use your books to turn things around for the past year and I'm not sure I will ever get my wife to ever open up to sharing any intimacy with me ever again, to love each other or to ever find ever increasing love and happiness.. At what point should a marriage be considered too far gone to be rehabilitated and best for the couples to dissolve the marriage. We haven't slept in the same bed for at least 20 years. My wife won't read any of your books or very willingly work with me to change our past. I can't say I can blame her because I've been so ignorant all these years.

I’m starting to wonder if my husband’s inability to understand the effect of his words may be due to some sort of personality disorder/ASD. I’ve had a rough time going through secondary infertility and failed IVF cycles and he still had the audacity to tell me that my reasons for wanting children are not “good enough”, and that his relationships outside the family are more important than those within the family. His mother has strong ASD characteristics. I’m wondering if it’s worth pushing him to get an evaluation. I guess I’d like to think that there is something actually wrong, and that he’s not just narcissistic and uncaring.

It is a normal tendency to look at the flaws of others rather than ourselves. The mind is a possession that possesses us and so rather than control it to the betterment of our life and marriage we blame our partner and then get on these thought trains to nowhere. To suffering. When what we really need to do is learn how to love unconditionally. I suggest you fix yourself first, become perfect love. Then, if you think it is loving to diagnose your husband to see why why he does not please you you can.

@@TheMarriageFoundation I don't quite understand. When you said to Terry-Ann Dawes that, with regard to her suffering, she must learn to love her husband unconditionally (after he told her that his relationships outside of the family are more important than those within it), does having unconditional love for one's husband mean you stay with him and endure the suffering of knowing that he doesn't love you or even care about you? Or are you saying that having unconditional love will bullet-proof a wife from suffering in a marriage to a husband who doesn't care?

After hearing all I would had to do to save my marriage, divorce looks better in my eyes. Not to be rude, but honeslty this seems to me like a total capitulation in favor of wives . I tried to make mine happy without completely losing myself in the process, but nothing I ever did was enough. The message I get from this video is that if she gets everything her way, marriage will work like a charm, but taking into account how things are these days as well as my own experience, I highly doubt it. Sorry to be this direct. Many women believe they don't need a protector or a provider at home anymore, since they have a favorable labor market, benefits from governments and modern 'justice' guaranteeing those things for them...

What you speak about is all true, but only on plane of material existence, Marriage is a spiritual path that you take with your soulmate so the rules change and so do the enourmous benefis, which cannot compare to life lived just to stay out of trouble, which is a "normal" life. Look for the benefits of ever-new joy and love. You will see how marriage is great no matter what your individual tests are and will be, whether you are married or not. Then choose the llife that suits you.

The responsibility to take care of each other sexually is part of marriage. Go further, and make the sex act a connection of your deepest love and devotion. It doesn't have to be "recreational" like it is promoted by society. God gifted it to us to use as way to connect at the soul level.
