As a Mustang guy, I actually really love this. I have been griping for years that Corvette really needed to innovate. While I am a Ford guy, I love motorsports in general and the competition provided is what moves the industry forward. Corvette for sure raised the bar incredibly high for the rest of the pack, though in ways I really didn't expect. The 2020s might end up being a new golden age for muscle/pony cars. Major props to Chevy, they sure left everyone else in the dust

Let's low ball it and call it 13,000 cars. How many mid engine cars are boxing at the new Corvette's performance, with the same price range, selling as many seats in the arena? And the best part is that the $120,000 models will be competing with the Ferraris and the Lamborghinis and will call it a game changer again. It had been done below, but not like this.

The Corvette has been my favorite car for a long time. I owned a couple of them, 2007 LT4 and 2013 Grand Sport. During the past 5 years however Chevrolet seemed to be making the price of the Corvette well over what it should be. With the 2020 C8 I was blown away by both the performance and the price. I have not been able to see one in person yet, but in the next few years as the used models make it to the market and the prices are within my price range, I will be looking into owning one of them too.

The car is aesthetically pleasing. I love how it looks and cannot find any fault at all. The understeer is easily corrected by alignment as shown by Randy; so what's the problem? This same $60K car with a pair of turbos is going to produce 1000 HP with ease. Bye-bye BMW-Supra; hello GTR.

Ive been partial to Japanese sports cars for years, as I own a pristine Nissan 300zx, which was arguably one of the first cars w a cockpit, drivercentric cabin. In its day, it was THE coolest car, tho not an exotic. It WAS my dream car. This C8 IS my dream car.

I agree 100%. Theres nothing to touch it. Design, looks, options, performance, interior, technology, and the price. Imagine the Z06 or ZR1 version of this mid engine supercar along with huge Bremen brakes, a large rear spoiler, faster, with scissor doors!!! Now that would be a car that would embarrass the high end supercars. ..ps. the front of the C8 is far better than anything out there, even the back looks better than I thought, with or without a spoiler. The Corvette makes the ferrari super fast look dull.

As a Ford lover I have got to say you Chevy lovers tend to whine at times! The ass end of the new Vett is very similar to the Camaro, which I love. Yes Quad Central Pipes would look great and I bet Hi Po versions will get just that. In all honesty if was spending my hard earned and had the choice of a new Vett or the new GT500 I would have to test drive both before I decided. Truly awesome work from Chevrolet.

No suprise We did a dyno of the 2020 Supra in Australia and it averaged 325 ATW. At a guess when the C8 Z51 has been put on the dyno in Australia 440 to 470hp ATW will be about right.

so being my first time in the market for my first 911 (the upcoming GT3 hopefully but would settle for a carerra S) never considered Bargin or Value as a factor if i did i would be looking at a supra or something like that ...i just wanted the best... when you think the best i dont think Corvette...but anyone with half a brain can't ignore the numbers this car is putting down..not a fan of the exterior looks but interior is full business it would be interesting to see what the performance models bring....still going the GT3 route but i really do hope this car changes the game

@@hmong337 Absolutely, I agree. But "fun to drive" is not nearly as impressive to the average consumer as "sub 3 second 0-60". Sure, they could throw more power at it to compensate for slower shifts, but then sale price has to go up, driveability goes down and you don't have as many options for 2 higher performance specs. There is also no way they could sell a manual along side a DCT in the same base car, since the DCT car would be much faster. What they are doing is the most logical, progressive option. Unfortunately, it also means we probably won't get a manual Z06 due to the fact that (even with an extra 200HP) it would struggle to be faster to 60 than the Z51 base model car.

Stupidity continues... C7/C8 are CRAMPED everything in the C7 faces the driver which bores the passenger to death. Trades in like crazy because of this. So much for great interiors. C6 is so much more comfortable and a better cruiser. Weird smells??? Ha whatever.

The C7 is MASSIVELY better inside than the C6, it's not even close. and the C8 has more interior room than both of them. The C6 interior is plasticky like Fisher Price, it's pretty terrible. The C7 feels like a real car comparatively, and the C8 is even better.
