@WFS showering has everything to do with hair. The heat, warm air, opens up pore, including those in your head. You shampoo, scratch, you'll rip hair out of your head. Works for me to use cool water, and gently massage my scalp with the pads of my fingers , not scratch with my nails

Are you sure you're not depressed? Not taking care of one's basic needs is almost always a sign of depression. You've also had a problem with drinking that you're now getting control over. Well done! But seeking escapism in substances is also a strong indicator of depression. Maybe you should see a professional to be evaluated for depression. And don't listen to the judgemental comments in this section from people who don't understand the first thing about your life!

@@benjaminthery2842 I've used it for about 18 months, with the essential oil diluted in a neutral carrier oil. My results are anecdotal because I'm just one person and I didn't control for all other factors. My hair has definitively stronger growth. It's thicker and there is less loss. It's most evident in a very pronounced cowlick swirl that I've always had, but as I got older it became more evident because it was balding. It no longer is very evident because hair has grown back in the swirl. Net net, I'm not so sure that you can say with certitude that rosemary oil does not work, nor can i say with certainty that it does. Controlled experiments would be useful for addressing the question. (Your claim that Minoxidil doesn't work at all is not shown by multiple studies on male pattern baldness, where Minoxidil did significantly increase hair growth by about 45%.)

Stop (or at least significantly reduce) using shampoo and conditioner. That's my #1 suggestion. Also - thoroughly massage your scalp with your nails or use a wooden comb while you're bathing. This clears dead skin from your scalp and also increases circulation of blood.
@alexv5581
@alexv5581 Жыл бұрын
This is partially true. Using a good quality shampoo and conditioner actually helps. The products I use are all based on natural ingredients. I exercise a lot and if you don't clean your scalp, you clog your hair follicles with sweat, dirt, debris, etc. And that will cause hair loss.
@kc4276
@kc4276 Жыл бұрын
@@alexv5581 Fair enough. I’m a guy with short wavy hair so maybe it’s different for me - at the most all I need is to use a very small amount of shampoo once every 8-10 days. I also exercise (and sweat) a lot so I definitely spend 5 minutes each day just combing my hair and massaging my scalp with the intent to unclog the pores.

I would add that massaging the scalp daily -- more than once, increases the blood flow to the scalp, especially for the areas that are lacking in hair. What you put on your scalp is also very important. No parabens, sulfates, or really anything that you can't pronounce. My almost waist length hair (at almost age 60) does not get shampooed but no more than 2x/week. I only use conditioner in between as living in humid Florida, this really helps. Shampoo will dry out the hair and make it brittle. If your hair is longer, carefully comb or brush starting at the ends and work your way up to the scalp, and not when it is soaking wet, because wet hair is easy to break. Comment date: 3/12/2023. I was a licensed Cosmetologist for way more than 25 years, so I do have knowledge base in this area. Your experience may vary. Please confer with your hairdresser as well.

Dear Dr Berg, Thankyou. I have diabetes running in my family. I noticed hair loss and early greying in my family. I am now 50. I have grandchildren and am entering menopause. I never got to see my mother go through it because she had a radical hysterectomy in her early 40’s. I noticed, however, that she went grey early and had white hair in her 60’s. As yet, I have no visible grey hair. I do have some white hair on my face, which I remove. I have always suffered from high oestrogen. As my levels drop, my periods have become longer and heavier. I needed two iron infusions as a result. I eat meat and dairy. The iron infusions were detected with routine blood tests from my doctor. These days, the bleeding is lessening. I decided to reintroduce soy to my diet (via tofu) and my hormones balanced out. I usually have one meat-free meal every week or two. I have no issues with Vitamin A or D. I always eat a lot of fresh produce. Avocadoes, olives, olive oil, coconut oil, butter, tallow, peanut and sesame oils. I eat eggs and dairy in moderation. I also love fish and seafood. So far, I look like I am in my 30’s or 40’s. My skin used to be very dry and flaky. Nowadays, it is normal. My hair also used to be dry and damaged. These days it is undamaged. My hairdresser even said I had no split ends. I get my hair trimmed every 2 years now.

How to put hair on your chest 1. Exercise 2. Eat eggs 3. Beef- Grass fed and finished pasture raised is best but expensive. Double R ranch Beef is the best budget beef and you can find it at Roths. The cattle is allowed to graze on grass and is herded around outdoors but is also fed grain. ... 4. Shrimp- I get the big packs of pre cooked frozen stuff from behind the deli counter at winco for around $40 and just store it in my freezer. Very easy to thaw or cook. Put in a pot and run cold water over it for several minutes as you pinch the tails off. 5. Skip breakfast for intermittent fasting. It makes the morning routine faster and I never feel hungry in the morning anyways 6. Men get your estrogen from fruits and nuts- don't eat soy

For me, this regimen helped me and my brother for hair growth, and keeping thicker hair: 1. Fragrance free shampoo - paraben or fragrance free shampoo - stops damaging already sensitive situation. Korean cosmetics industry already are aware of this. 2. Taoist soap for hair for scalp and skin - 2 times a week maximum - apply only for 2-3 seconds on affected areas and wash off. 3. Nettle leaf tea 2x a day 4. Collagen powder 2 tablespoons 2 times a day at least - Dr Berg Does collagen btw. 5. Scalp massage 20-30 minutes every day - this is very important. 6. Cold water rinse of the top of the head only - not sides My brother had hair thinning at 19, and after trail and error, the above is the best ever regimen he found that has worked for many people. Might work for you guys looking for answers. Obviously Dr berg knows what hes saying so consider his advice too.

For anybody that is reading this, if you’ve had a lot of hair, shedding, or hair loss, do I’ve done by minoxidil, 5%, and use rosemary oil in the evening. Massage it into hair ends as well as roots as rosemary well oil. Has something in it that works like Minoxidil, my hair is nearly touching my bum to watch my hair come out by the handfuls. Every time I touched it was breaking my heart, so I researched, and this is what I’ve come up with so far I can help anybody else that is losing their hair man or women use this minoxidil give it time, be gentle with your hair when grooming it, and washing it massage your scalp gently with your fingertips to stimulate the blood flow, massage the minoxidil in your hair. Your scalp only wash your hands after cause you don’t want to hairy face,mine has taken mine has taken three months. I need those three months, my hair stop falling out and is now growing fast .

Advice I've read in comments/videos on various reason of what it could be: 1.) vitamin d (though I wouldn't take as much as this doctor says 😬. Once a day should be enough) 2.) iron deficiency (various veggies. Health juice: beets, carrots, orange juice, 1 tsp of honey. Blend in blender. Drink only 2 times a week. Supposedly helps with hemoglobin?) 3.)Eggs (a lady lacked protein and said eating eggs for breakfast everyday helped her) 4.) anemia (go see doctor) 5.) exercise (helps blood flow) 6.) brush hair everyday and wash regularly as needed) 7.) omega 3

A few days ago, I wanted to style my hair and had no brush or comb. So from my water bottle I wet my fingers and quickly rubbed them back and forth through my hair. I repeated this several times before thinking to look at my hands. This always leaves stray hairs all over my hands, but not this time. So I keep doing it to get my hair wet enough. Each time, I saw no stray hairs. That was new. I've been losing hair since I was 13, but not now. I suspected it was one of the supplements. But none of them was the obvious "culprit". Even so, I suspected it was the vitamin D3, since I have been deficient in it for at least several years (but only recently finding out). When I take that supplement (most days), I take 25,000 IUs, the kind which also has K2 with it. Also new is that since a few months ago, I push away most sugars, grains, and starches. I allow exceptions, but either rarely or in small quantity, usually both. I have been seeing many health benefits already. Maybe this is one more.

( not with a derma roller but a derma pen important dermapen are more effective) - to give food to hair when i don't wash i put aloe verra gel (98% aloe verra) before bed then the morning i just rinse hair look cleaner - 1 time a week another food time for hair: vegetal oil mask all the night like : avocado oil bio, argan oil, ricin oil (i do that before the shampoo next day ) Guys do that every steps! i guarantee new hair !!!!

Hi Dr Berg, I was hoping you could give me advice, I have alopecia and a lot of it had grown back with steroid creams and ointments, I’ve also used a lot of the advice you have given online. I recently found a small lump at the top of my head which has caused balding in the small area, it’s not itchy but it is pink in colour. I saw a nurse about it, I told her about my alopecia and I’ve been prescribed flucloxacillin (penicillin) I’m on my third day and where my progress of hair regrowth was which grew to 3” has now disappeared and my skin is itchy in that area, the skin feels fresh and moist. I believe it’s the medication. Before being prescribed this I asked her if she could prescribe me an alternative like a topical ointment or cream, she said no. I also asked her questions relating to alopecia and she said she didn’t know, I’m so upset because I’ve just read online that penicillin can cause hair loss. Do you have recommendations? Could she have given me something else and should she have further investigated before prescribing me this?

My father had a full head of thick black Afro hair right up until the age of 63 with the near-loss of my mother. I noticed that within the space of a couple months, his hair had completely thinned out and receded. I followed shortly after, about 1.75 years later when my hair started falling out in CLUMPS. It’s been 4 years and neither of us recovered. My hair - to this day - is still falling out in clumps. My father is the oldest of 2 brothers, both who are bald, but my father never lost his hair. I always wondered if it was something my father was doing that helped him maintain such a good head of hair but I could never be certain. Prior to nearly losing my mother, he would consume a healthy amount of red meat, and take daily jogs. He has since stopped both. I wonder if they played a role?

Use castor oil on the scalp as a mask before washing out. I had the same thing and consistently doing this twice a week before washing for a while (months) has helped to bring back hair in areas that were slower to regrow. I would sleep overnight with it on when possible. You can mix with a thinner oil like argan or coconut to help it spread, as it's very thick. Giving yourself a scalp massage with your head upside down when you apply is also good. All these things bring blood flow to the hair follicles and stimulate growth. My hair has recovered completely after around a year later, so it may take a while to get back all the growth - some areas of my hairline were the worse affected but it has come back. :)

Dairy and milk can help as it contains Lysine but it also increases DHT for men by decreasing Testosterone. I think a diet containing nuts and supplements or red meat/fish would be a better idea overall. Green Tea, apart from Saw Palmetto you can live on Tea. (sometimes i also put coconut flakes in tea, that's also really good) Also don't forget a healthy amount of Coffee or Ginseng to help blood circulation in your scalp and prevent hair loss, it's very important.

I started keto & intermittent fasting 8 months ago,, lost 30 lbs & now my thick, healthy but premature grey hair is falling out. I am 67, went grey by age 24. In about 6 weeks my hair volume is less than 1/2 of what it was before the diet. Im waiting for a doc appt to get my labs done. It is very distressing.

Take a Tablespoon of black strap molasses every day. It’s good in coffee too. Make sure to buy the black strap kind. I buy the Plantation brand.

I had a total hysterectomy at age 35, so I have no estrogen, no testosterone, and have been in "menopause" for 23 years already. Needless to say, I've been rapidly losing my hair to the point I have to wear a scarf. I lose a fistful in the shower, then another fistful when I brush my hair out. This doesn't count all the hair that falls out throughout the day. It's a lot. I've recently increased my Vit. D intake from 10,000 i.u. to 40,000 i.u., and I take Berberine as a metformin substitute. I do need to get more strict about the keto diet, however. That's been hard because there are 4 other people in the house that aren't keto, and I refuse to cook more than one meal, plus I hate listening to the endless bitching about my keto food, or worse, when I refuse to cook for them. Needless to say, they are my stressors, and make my life a living hell. Maybe someday I can grow my hair back, but I'm at the point of considering a wig.

With that high dosage of vitamin D, please make sure you are taking Vitamin K2 with it. It is very important so you don’t end up with calcium building up in you soft tissues (veins and brains). There are many options for D3 supplements with the K2 included in a balanced amount. Also, you’ve probably heard about cinnamon for blood sugar as well. We have my dad on the Berberine instead of Metformin, but after awhile it wasn’t quite enough until we added the cinnamon with it. Just thought I’d mention it in case you ever get to the point where the berberine isn’t quite getting the job done on its own.

We are going through the same thing. I too had a total hysterectomy at age 35. I can't take hormones because I had breast cancer at age 34. My hair was thinning but in the last 3 years it really started falling out. I take 10,000 I of vitamin D3. It hasn't helped. I may try more. Its all frustrating not knowing exactly what is causing my hair to fall out at a faster rate. In 54 now s O I've been in menaupause fir 19 years.

Well at 68, after doing all these things for 3 years I'm not seeing any improvement. I suspect once it's gone it won't come back. I've given up on a lot of Dr. Berg's recommendations. I can't afford to keep chasing every supplement under the sun and I'm paying closer attention to what he says which is "prevent" hair loss, not "restore".

Try gelatin. He did a video on this recently. Recipe: unflavored Knox gelatin, hot water to dissolve. Let it cool to lukewarm. Add Dr Berg’s orange electrolyte powder and half of one lemon. OMG delicious!

@@verseau8360 Thank you but I've been making my own pastured beef and chicken bone broths for years. I drink ACV with water, salt and magnesium throughout the day and eat plenty of high potassium fresh foods. So again, I'm not buying any more of his expensive supplements.

@@Drberg you often forget, when recommending Vit D, two things. - Which Vit D - typically it's Vit D3 (can you explain why D2 is covered by insurance, but D3 isn't) - It's best to combine Vit D3 with K2, please always mention this

Use a natural shampoo, and don't colour your hair, over time both combine to hair loss. Massage scalp with black seed oil, rosemary oil, also eggs and mayo are good for hair as is gelatin
