I feel like Alan, Brian Alsruhe and Joey all give off the same vibe and it’s that the basics work. You never see them say anything absurd when it comes to advice… and they all just seem like good people. In an age where people glorify the aesthetics brah movement and neglect building the foundation, people like them are essential

Hard to say if I have a favorite video, I just love Alan’s content and training mindset, and my absolute favorite thing about him is that he is humble and more than willing to change his opinion as he learns. For a while I thought he was one of the only ones, but it makes me happy knowing there are lots of guys out there like Alan (albeit not as popular as some other fitness guys) If I had to pick a video I enjoyed the rawest squat in history

I still don't understand RPE. Number 1 thing I learned from Alan: Do NOT. Move. The barbell. (because seriously, I never did a deadlift before)

This video popped out and I think I should say that. Alan taught me how to find work/life/training balance. Simple man with rules and consistency. I dont gonna lie. He is kind of role model for me. Showing people how to act smarter. I know you from Juji and Alan collabs but to be honest never dig into your channel. Its time to catch up.

I disagree on the stance on pain. Read Rebuilding Milo written by the Squat University guy. Joint pain points toward a mechanical problem, whether that is poor technique, a mobility limitation, or an injury. We need to stop normalizing pain. Listen to your body - it’s trying to tell you something. I ignored minor pains for years and now I have permanent back damage. That ain’t psycho-social. I believe Knees Over Toes Guy would agree as well. Don’t ignore it, address it. Your body will be better for it.
@weightman183 жыл бұрын
I would encourage you to watch the barbell medicine views on pain, and check their sources too, before you make assumptions about their material. Pain does not always equal damage, and you're probably a lot less hurt than you might think you are.
