My secret for enjoying jiu jitsu is to studiously ignore everything the big name guys are doing and just stick to the people I train with

That is an excellent philosophy to live by my friend.

I like what you said. I disagree about punishing people based on allegations without proof. That is a problem. But sometimes jiu jitsu people support behavior about which there is nothing unknown, that is totally disgraceful and ultimately harmful to the sport. Like someone sending death threats or someone throwing a chair at a competitor, or someone breaking his student's neck. I like your courage to say something about this though.

Thanks my friend! I appreciate your comments and for watching. I don't think people should be punished without proof, but what I see in our BJJ community and society at large is people defending their idols without proof, because they don't want the allegation to be true.

I was pretty disappointed that people were actually defending the promoters behavior.

Can't find the post is it removed?

The post is still on Craig Jones Instagram account. If you look at his post from 2 days ago with a picture of Craig with his ball cap on backwards. He screen shot the threatening message..

lol. The guy who made the threat (Seth Daniel’s) removed his Instagram page. How he thought this wouldn’t come back to bite him is beyond me.

@@TheChadavis33 I agree! In this day and age it is hard to believe he thought making threats against Craig Jones was going to go well for him.

@@TheChadavis33he made an apology... which was basically him saying he has mental health problems then doubling down 😂

My only interactions with Seth have been positive but that was a decade ago. Like you, I hope it was a hack. Cause there is no excuse for threatening someones life like that. You don't get a pass. But what do I know, I'm low level. Lol.

I appreciate your insights my friend. I wish more black belts would speak out on issues like these and set the example for junior practitioners. I could have chosen a better word fir junior belts. Thanks for the feedback and for watching.
