The biggest issue with the American diet is that fresh fruits and vegetables, not to mention the oils that are better for us, are more expensive. It is sad but true that a dollar meal from McDonalds is cheaper than cooking a meal. A bag of cookies is cheaper than a bag a grapes. Bananas are probably the cheapest fruit on the market.

I love what the host said about the good fats, 'your body knows what to do with those fats.' I use that mantra with my food choices too.

Worried about eating an avocado a day!! That's a bit over the top. It's pure nutrition with lots of fibre and other great things!

I agree. In fact, I read that chickpeas were actually anti inflammatory and I've been eating them regularly.

LOL. if you're hurting enough, its worth it. Mix I Tbs with 1 qt of water and lemon juice, drink it throughout the day. you can also add some sweetener, and it's not bad...and believe me I'm a super taster.

I'm going to say it's some kind of processed snack that looks like chickpeas. Chickpeas are very good for our bodies. I'm going to continue eating my favorite hummus 😊
@DH-qz2so5 жыл бұрын
well, chickpeas are in the Legume family, (as is Edameme, beans, lentils) etc...these are considered a 'carb'... carbs, after ingesting, turn to sugar which raises your blood sugar numbers...so for those on keto, they are a no no...
@Shiryone5 жыл бұрын
Terry Walker, I found it odd that it was on the "bad" side but no mention was made of them. Hmmm.
