I like how you guys are premiering the episode here. It gives non-Patreon people a chance to catch segments if they don’t have a full amount of time to watch the actual episode, while still keeping the integrity and quality of what you put out! It also builds up excitement to for those who like to watch the episode in full because we all know how much you guys work on the episodes! Bravo!

My boyfriend and I took an adventure to the North East last September. We contemplated between this trail and the Precipice trail. In the end, we chose the Precipice, but the beehive looks extremely similar. It was great to see the landscape again. We love watching you guys!

Thanks guys, this was awesome. I was at Acadia for a couple of days back in 2007. It was on a motorcycle trip from the Chicago area so only spent 2 days in Acadia. Enjoyed it very much though. Don’t know if I’ll ever make it back but if not thanks for taking me along on a great hike!

@@baraclude My sister and I (68 and 64 years old, respectively) did the Beehive Trail in October (2021); she did the vertical trail, and I took the other approach. (In my old age, I'm a little afraid of heights.) Funny thing, though, I did the Precipice Trail years ago, in my twenties, which a NPS ranger told us was the Beehive Trail on steroids. I loved that hike but couldn't do it now. Enjoy it while you can. Great video, guys. Really captured the feel of the trail and the park.

Oh man so many natural Bonsai on that climb. I was so glad to see you gave one a few secs of screen time. And it was amazing to see. Thanks for that guys. I really miss my backpacking days. I'm just a bit too old at 68yrs. Your amazing vids may just inspire me to go out again. Again, thank you for these vids you've put together so well. All aspects of that undertaking. Beautiful! I just moved from SoCal to the east coast. Have to put this one on my list! I'm not afraid of heights, just not a fan of narrow ledges either Andrew! I get it! One thing I was told by an instructor at REI before I climbed Mt. Whitney was, "If you look down, you go down." Since then I never look down until I reach the top. Helps get me through some of the sketchy sections. :) You guys are awesome!

I climbed Bee Hive in about 1993 during a Glacial Geomorphology Field Trip, when was back home I wanted to return except dawning my alpine harness and a 10 foot dual ladder hook lanyard. Loved every minute of it feared many of them could be my last. Amazing hike thanks for bringing me back! I would have trouble not walking past Stephen Kings home in Bangor or checking out the Old Town Canoe plant in Old Town. Also every time I am in eastern Maine, I need to check out the Solar system as laid out on US Route 1 between Houlton, and Presque Ile. I must visit Mt. Katahdin one day! Thanks for the great video 😀

Not the scariest trail in the park for me though, the Precipice trail is a lot more exposed 😮. Acadia has some of the best day hikes on the east coast imo! Its a special place to me, hope you guys had a blast there! I hiked almost everything while I was there :D

LOL, you guys are a HOOT! Great ending to an awesome video. I must admit, I had to take a break while watching you climb the Beehive (unbelievably scary height). I've been to Acadia, but no way would I attempt that climb. Give me Cadillac Mt. anytime. I've also eaten at Jordan Pond Restaurant. You're not kiddin' about the awesome popovers; a rare treat, not found in many places. Still got to check out your first video in this series (Niagra). Didn't realize you went to Mt. Washington, any footage? Did you check out Kancamagus Hwy?

The space to climb The Beehive without tons of people is definitely due to both the time of year and the weather. I was in Acadia in August this year, and it was so packed, the NPS closed half the road and made it parking, and there still wasn't enough. The line for the Beehive was like those pictures you see of the summit of Everest on a clear day; just person on top of person for the entire trail. We skipped it (mostly due to the people, and also having our 11yo with us), but did a bunch of other amazing hikes in the park over the course of a week. The restaurant at Jordan Pond was closed during our trip, so no popovers for us.

I held my breath several times as you guys were climbing that mountain. I have a fear of heights and had keep to saying to myself, "They are okay, they posted the video so they made it up and back down." But it was hard to watch that part. Even though the scenery was beautiful. The rest of the video was great too. Especially when Thomas lost it over the dessert. Did he laugh so hard he cried? Loved the video. Can't wait till the next part. Stay safe and Happy Holidays to all of you.

If you guys really liked this hike, check out Breakneck Ridge trail on the Hudson River Valley. It’s considered one of the most dangerous hikes in New York state, but the views are incredible.
@isabelahart93773 жыл бұрын
The top of the mountain really reminds me of Mt Cooran in Australia, it’s really flat at the top and one side is almost a straight drop, it’s so steep people used to base jump off it and glide to the near by town called Pomona and see who could do it the fastest until it got banned and now it’s just known as a race called king of the mountain where people sprint from the town all way up the top and down, lots of rock scrambling but mostly safe and super fun! If you ever come across the sea check it out and you get a beautiful view of a K’gari , formally known as Fraser Island :D
