Fried Fish Recipe: Rinse your fish off.... Season both sides of fish with Salt, Garlic Powder, Paprika, and Pepper.... Coat with flour and shake off excess flour then sit aside. Place frying pan over medium high heat. Add 1/2 cup of oil (preferably Olive oil) After 1-2 mins add fish and fry on each side until golden brown then sit on paper towel plate. And that's how to make fried fish.

My Mom always coated the Fish into Aunt Jemima Pancake Mix and it always gave our fried fish a nice Crispy Golden Crust.

@@gwallasazon3223I had to use Aunt Jemima once because I had ran out of corn meal and flour. I use half corn meal and half flour to fry my fish, and it usually comes out beautiful and delicious. Surprisingly, it wasn’t too bad, but just not quite the same. I wouldn’t do it again because…my fish came out kind of sweet tasting. 😂

Your fish looks really good, however, just a point I'd like to make about flipping it over while it's cooking. I usually use two spatulas when turning it over, one to slide under the fish and the other to block it from flopping in the hot oil.

I remember when I was a teenager I was frying fish first time.I was using flour to fry fish and my mother had a fit.She scolded me real bad.She told me you never fry fish in no flour. She told me to always use cornmeal. But base on this video she was wrong. You can fry fish using flour or cornmeal. The fish I was making that day she thew it a way.She was mad at me because I mess up her food that she bought.I think only mistake I was making was that I stir it too much.I didn't allow enough time to fry in each side. The way she scolded me so harshly made me dislike cooking or even learn how. That really discouraged me from cooking around her or even helping her cook.I know how to cook now.I just don't because the ymca where I live have too many restrictions on cooking. But before I lost my regular apartment I cooked quite a bit.

Sorry you was attacked for doing what you thought was right most moms only know what they were taught. Flour is better because it don't kill you after years of use Lol

Well sweetie your mom was so wrong on every parenting level! But it’s not for me to judge her. I’m a mother as well. I would not do that to my children.. I came on here because I have always used cornmeal but I only had flour today and the spaghetti is already finished, so I wanted to know if anyone else had used flour on their fish and my young queen you’d be surprised how many people use flour on their fish! Mine is done and I must say it didn’t come out too bad! It will actually work! I do still like cornmeal on my fish but it’s one of those things that if I don’t have any cornmeal it’s perfectly okay to just use flour!
