Backstrom is overlooked cuz he plays with Ovi, overall has superior stats to Toews. Kane and Toews get equal respect. But you can’t deny, he’s clutch as hell and has 3 cups, those are facts.

I’d have to say Bergeron far and away for the 2003 draft class. Fleury has always been a good goaltender but never one of the premier goalies in the league until he joined Vegas and had that amazingly 2018 playoffs.

The 2010 class is so tough to rank. Hall had three good seasons but won the Hart. However Seguin, Panarin and Stone were certainly more consistent. At the end I think you made the right decision but it's damn close.

Spezza over Kovalchuk is a really, really bad pick. Kovalchuk was over a PPG before he came back and is honestly just a way more talented player than Spezza. I think he had 6 40+ goal season in a row as well, just an absolute monster.

I agree with Kovalchuk over Spezza but I think it's a bit closer than you're making it seem. They were both right around a point per game through most of their careers until they got older. Spezza is actually really talented, skill for skill he's not far off from Kovalchuk. Kovalchuk was the better shooter and skater (although Spezza did have a rocket of a shot when he actually used it) while Spezza had slightly better hands and playmaking ability. I'm guessing he probably chose Spezza because he stuck around longer while Kovalchuk retired early.
