Can you only have a testimony if you didn’t believe in God at one time in your life?
@caitlyn73732 жыл бұрын
@@jesuschristismylord4043 I'm not entirely sure if I understood your question but I'll give it a go! Everyone has a testimony because we aren't born into Christianity (referring to how like muslims are muslim because they're born in a muslim family.) People themselves have to choose Christ and be born again.

@@caitlyn7373 I was taught God was real from as young as I remember and when I was 11 asked Jesus into my heart, but I’m only getting baptized now at 19. Didn’t happen when I was younger cause my parents wanted it to be my decision.

For those on a time crunch: 1. Do they have the same beliefs as you? (Are they a Christian?) 2. "What is something that you don't want me to know about you?" 3. "What is something you do want me to know about you?" 4. Ask about their family and what kind of relationship they have with their family members. 5. "Describe yourself in three words." 6. "What has been your greatest failure?" 7. "What has been your greatest achievement?" 8. "Walk me through a day in your life." 9. "If you had to think happy thoughts in order to fly, what would you think about?" 10. (If they are a Christian): "Would you describe your relationship with Jesus cold, lukewarm, or hot, and why?" 11. "If you could go back and do something in your life differently, what would it be?" 12. "What do you look for in a significant other?" 13. (Possible follow-up to question twelve if you want to): "Do you match that description?" 14. "What is something that has made you laugh until you cried?" 15. "Why did your previous relationships not work out?"

when I think about what I want to talk about with someone on the first date, half of the time I'm like "I can't ask that, it might get really awkward" and the second half I'm like " nevermind, if he thinks it's awkward he's probably not what I'm looking for anyway"

Most first dates are a little awkward. Best to embrace the awkwardness and go for it. How I do that is I flat out say "I might be awkward at first so bear with me". Usually the guy finds this cute and he is willing to just go with whatever you ask to make you feel less awkward. 😂😂

Here are some questions I thought of: Would you say you are content with life now? What is your greatest struggle now? What is the greatest struggle you have overcome by God's grace? What has God been teaching you recently? How would you like me to pray for you? What is your favorite Bible verse? Why? If God were to tell you to leave your home country to be a missionary, would you go? How would you summarize your relationship with your parents, siblings, coworkers, boss, and pastor in one sentence? What talents has God given you, and how do you think He wants you to use them? If your future child was in a relationship, would you want that date to be a person like you?

I love that question “what’s something you don’t want me to know about you?” That’s so good! Definitely an ice breaker. I sometimes ask people (and asked my husband too when we were dating) “who is someone that you’d like to emulate and why?”, so trying to see who they look up to. I think that can tell a lot about a person 😊

“what’s something you don’t want me to know about you?” I don't think this is a good question on 1st date, lot of people might get defensive about this and won't have a 2nd date. They would think why would I tell a total stranger those private things. But at least it can test how open a person is. Still, not a good 1st date question for sure.

When me and my fiancé first meet I would ask him to share random facts about himself and I would share some too. E.g I always wear socks that match in color to my outfits, I always get the hiccups. He told me things like he drinks milk straight out of the bottle and and that he always randomly interrupts people to sing. It was super fun and I loved getting to know about all his little quirks ❤️😆

Didn't even realize this was your first video by yourself. Loved it! ... Side note: Ladies, ask a man what his vision is cause that's what you are going to be helping to see come to fruition. When a woman is getting to know someone she is literally approaching a man who has recognized his assignment and is working on it and saying "How can I help with that?" Because women are helpers. Men are leaders. I know this is 2021 and the times may otherwise but this is the biblical concept and it just makes sense. ... And ladies always ALWAYS remember you are the prize💎. I think that is pretty much self explanatory. ... Blessings to you and yours.

On a first date, how much time should be spent on things related to Christ, Christianity, faith, ect etc? 50%? 25%? 75%? Edit: knowing that me and my date would both be Christian**
@shaughnsmit20763 жыл бұрын
This is just my opinion, since Jesus is so great and so much bigger than we can understand, I’d say the more the better. He gave up His life for us, talking about Him the whole date (with authenticity off course) would just show the person is completely sold out and in love with Jesus. The other things will come up eventually, but do make time for the important questions somewhere in the first few dates I’d say. Hope this gives a little guidance. Ps thanks for asking an excellent question, you’re awesome!

I think you should kind of flow with your date, not everyone is comfortable talking about deep topics right away, maybe warm up to it start off with easy questions first and drop a couple deep ones whenever you feel that its a good time. Thats what i am currently doing. I think if your partner is Christian, he or she will eventually want to be asked the deep questions, and talk about Christ. Have fun and see what your date’s personality is all about!

@@nmc55 oh I get that, except I personally think one's opinions shouldn't make someone love them any more or less. We are simply called to love God and love others, so I just say I accept that everyone has their own opinions and I respect that, even if I don't believe it myself. Like when one of my friends came out as bi, I told her I still support her even though I don't support LGBT. Also @Nate and Sutton I wanted to ask, how can christians be supportive to those who are LGBT if it is not how God intended us to be? I think you made a video about this that i haven't watched yet 😕 I don't know how to make that question make sense (I can't really think straight right now) but I feel like sooooooooo many people now are influencing in a way that honestly makes me angry and confused how humanity has separated itself from Christ. When the timing is right, the Lord will place a man of honor and good integrity in your path who will be the perfect fit for you. I met my husband 11 years ago. He was 27 and had intentionally never been in a relationship. He saved himself completely for me. He had several female friends over the years, who he had considered as possibilities for pursuing, but he always just stayed friends while getting to know them. As each of those friendships revealed that him and the woman weren’t the Lord’s plan for each other, they agreed to remain friends and were able to do so because they had never crossed boundaries emotionally or physically. I desired to have a man who wanted what the Lord wanted in his life; a man who wanted to wait, because the Lord wanted him to wait (not just a man who was willing to wait because it was what I valued... I wanted it to be his value, too). I wouldn’t have minded if he had a past where he had not waited, but had then come to know the Lord and had put that past behind him. That would have been fine with me, because I know the redemptive work of Jesus and I wanted someone who was currently right with the Lord and desired to do things His way. When I came into my husband’s life, I was new to the area and ended up in a Bible study he was leading. We spent a few months getting to know each other in the context of a group setting, while we spent time with the friends from the Bible study (both during the Bible study, and on weekends, just for fellowship). Through that season, we really got to know one another without any pressure or trying to impress each other, because we were just friends. It gave me insight into his personality, because I was able to see him interacting with our friends, not just myself. And none of it was under the guise of us “liking” each other. Through our friendship, I found out that he had never been in a relationship and had been saving himself (heart, soul and body) for his wife. As it turns out, the Lord’s plan was for him to be with me. I was amazed that this man had not only remained pure, physically, but that he had chosen not to arouse or awaken love in his heart by entering a relationship he couldn’t see ending in marriage. It was such a gift the Lord gave me, beyond what I had even dared to ask for. I had not met any man before that who was interested in saving himself for marriage. When we married, my husband was 30 years old. We waited until our wedding night and have never regretted it. So be encouraged because men of honor and good integrity are out there; it just takes patience and trusting the Lord to write your love story. The right man for you will value what the Lord values and will match you perfectly. He won’t chose to wait, simply because you want to, but he will want that for himself (even if he has a history in the past where he has not waited, and then got his heart right with the Lord and was washed clean). What matters is that he will be growing in his relationship with the Lord and will desire to do things the Lord’s way from the beginning of your relationship on. Be blessed and I pray the Lord fills your heart while you are waiting and that He remains your first love even when your wait for your spouse is over. That is one thing I love about my season of being single... my relationship with the Lord became so solid and real and close that even in marriage, I still love spending time with Him... just He and I. I pray this for you as well. 💗💕
