Thanks for recognizing all the efforts I put into making my videos, but also in staying connected with my viewers. I'm the only big detailing channel that personally replies to KZbin comments on a daily basis. Don't get me wrong, it can get overwhelming, as you can imagine with over a million subscribers sending me thousands messages every day on all platforms, as I can spend up to 4 hours every day just to reply to KZbin comments. It does take away precious personal time or time with my family, but I try my best to stay connected with my viewers. :)

Hi Pan i also have the active 2.0. Did my research and base on all of what i saw pulled the trigger. I’ve used pressure washers before to get things cleaned around the house but this is a first for me since i just recently purchased a brand new car (2023 Tesla Model Y performance). I have this paired to a Mckillans short gun with swivel, Uberflex 50ft hose and MJJC V2 foam cannon and it absolutely exceeds my expectations. Any Canadians compare the Active 2.0 to the Simoniz Platinum 2300 (model XE32)? Listed as 2.0 gpm with an induction motor
@PanTheOrganizer
@PanTheOrganizer 3 ай бұрын
Hi Andrew. The first generation Simoniz 1800 was made by Active. It was the same as the active VE52. For the Simoniz Platinum 2300 pressure washer, I haven't heard any info suggesting if it's made by Active or not. But it doesn't look anything like the Active 2.0 The Platinum 2300 if anything looks closer to the pump design of the Active 2.3 But how knows which brand makes it for Simoniz.

It's not just about numbers Leo... A car with 700hp is not necessarily "better" than a car with 500hp. It can be faster, yes, but there's a lot more to it than just raw speed. The Kranzle is better built there's no doubt about it. It's not even close. Anyone who has tested both (like Matt and I) can attest to this. Is the AR Blue good? Yes absolutely. Is it better than a Kranzle 1122TST or 1322TST? Absolutely not. I'm guessing you own an AR Blue?

I bought the simoniz version of the ve52 last year (they go on sale for 230). I upgraded to an sgs28 wand, pf22 foam cannon, 50' flexzilla hose, and added a 4.0 25 degree tip from princess auto (i find 25 tips the sweet spot for using a short gun), and I couldn't be happier! I'm by no means a professional detailer...I just like having a clean vehicle. After purchasing a new vehicle, I recently got into the 'personal' detailing and was looking for a pressure washer, preferably electric. Rather than splurge on a premium unit, I decided to give the Ryobi 1800 a try, even though the flow was only 1.2 gpm. For a cost of $95, it is performing very well. I'm using a McKillans swivel and foam cannon, and this setup makes plenty of foam, even with a 30' flexible hose...no problem in that regard. I did need an adapter to convert the Ryobi water out threads to the McKillans, but other than that not a single issue. Very satisfied at this point.

Great video as always Pan! I have this unit wall mounted OG style coupled with a cobra jet hose and active short gun / 4.5mm nozzle. One item I disagree with slightly is opting for the tool only. I bought the full kit from actives website and it was only $20 more than the unit alone. I think this is worth it to have an additional gun/hose/nozzle/foam cannon for portable use. I can disconnect my unit from my wall mounted set up using the quick disconnects and take it on the road with the accessory kit for washing things at my parents home. Just something to consider for those that may benefit from that versatility for a small up charge.

I'm also using Koch Chemie products and getting fabulous results. I'm not a professional detailer, but I have been detailing my cars for nearly 3 decades. I keep upgrading my equipment as the science behind car detailing changes...or becomes more complex! Thank you for your excellent videos and attention to detail. Quick question, Pan. Besides the Koch Chemi AF, is there another product you recommend for a generic "maintenance wash?" I can only find the 1.32-gallon bottle of AF. It would take me 10 years to go through that much! LOL! I use GSF for my pre-wash and then hand wash, but if I want to get "stuff" off the car, is there another product that will fit the quick wash scenario? But some available in smaller formats: CarPro Lift: bit.ly/3DTIpTL Gyeon Foam: bit.ly/3qkwpYw Gtechniq W4: bit.ly/3qlE7lb All three of these are safe of coated vehicles. Invested 30 for a nicer gun I’ve had for 2 years and no issues and no use it weekly as a weekend warrior doing 2+ cars on the weekend. It has the auto shut off when not in use. Can’t complain.

Decent unit been using mine for over a year. Power cord is long and good. The hose that is included will not even go around a car.. is about 6-10 feet too short . For a product aimed at the car enthusiast that’s an oversight imo. I have to pick up and move the unit, hose and power cable . A bit more length and it would’ve been perfect. My unit routinely revs up and loses pressure and makes funny noises. I’ve since replaced it with a Japanese built unit and gave this one to my dad.

First, Pan, thanks for your myriad of great videos. Now: I hate things that don't work well, so I'd pretty much convinced myself to spend $350 on the Active 2.0 pressure washer rather than the $100 (less my 5% discount at Lowe's) Craftsman, disposable, model. But then I find, in order to make the Active pressure washer great for detailing, which was only the Original Purpose for it's design, I need to replace the lance with a swivel gun, I need to add some quick disconnects (not a huge deal), and (since I bought a "real" foam cannon from Griot) I don't need the included foam cannon either. I've watched a few reviews (not all) of the Active 2.0 unit, and before the review ever started the reviewer had already replaced the wand with the "proper" swivel gun. It seems what I really need is nothing but the Active pressure washer and four nozzles, (were it available) for $249; then invest $80 in their swivel gun, and $50 in an Uber Flex hose (and I already spent $99 on the Griot Foam Cannon), still for a total investment of a little under $500, not including tax. Maybe I'll just go back to the disposable Craftsman! It seems, if we could do it, paying $249 for a bare-bones Active 2.0 pressure washer rather than $100 for the (essentially bare bones, since I'd not use its accessories either) Craftsman unit would be a no-brainer, every time!

I've had my 2.0 for about 2 months now, and I love it. I had recently tried the Pro Flow from Chemical Guys after my old washer reached the end of its life, and that thing broke after 3 uses and was overall pretty cheap even though the kits from CG and Active 2.0 are the same price at $350. I also got the Active wand as well as upgrading the hose to the 50-foot Uberflex, and the MJJC foam cannon and I have been blown away by how wonderful it works and just how gratifying it is to use. It is well worth the money especially if you can find it as just the washer. I really can't recommend it enough. Great stuff as always, Pan!

Almost a year later to watch this, and now version 3 is out; albeit twice as expensive. I have a Class C RV and was told to be careful using pressure washers on them. After a few hours of viewing different professionals talking about flow rather than pressure, it was obvious in which direction to go in order not to damage paint schemes and decals (low pressure/high water flow). I personally visited and watched a couple of Truck/RV washes, and they really put the pressure to those rigs. Since I can't control what they do, I continued to search for a solution. This system fits the bill nicely. You are terrific in your detailed review/testing videos; really appreciate that. I've decided to go with washer only, and then separately buy hose, cannon, soap, etc. Should make for a great investment for keeping my vehicles clean.

The Canadian Tire Simoniz version is made by Active, it's called the VE52. The VE52 was the first generation. The VE52 was a great machine, as long as you don't modify anything (changing hoses, nozzle orifices, etc). It wasn't meant to be modified. Hence why they released the new Active 2.0 You can hear one of the owners of Active talk about the VE52 and why they came up with a new machine in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nXq9aK2rZdt9mNk The Active 2.0 is a totally new machine.

What issues were you having? Matt (Obsessed Garage) met with the owner of Active and he explained the issues they were seeing with VE52 is people were upgrading hoses to longer ones and using different guns and orifices/tips and that would fault the units. The VE52 wasn’t developed to be modded by people for detailing. So that’s why when they developed the Active 2.0 they used higher quality components allowing for modding.

I purchased the Active 2.0 from the Obsessed Garage website after watching his hardcore review videos. I use the OG spec Mosmatic swiveling sprayer, wand and nozzles and High-Pressure 100 ft Hose w/ MTM Stainless Steel 3/8" Female QD Couplers. This makes for a killer setup for about $700 USD. This set up replaced my 2 year ole cheapo Karcher set up which is still chugging along. The water output of the Active unit is OUTSTANDING compared to the Karcher. I have owned the Active 2.0 for 3 months now. My only complaint is the unit is so light it tends to tip over when placed on top my detail cart. I have to strap it down with bungee cords. I will have to figure out a bwtter way to mount the Active unit on the wall of my garage. I'm so glad that you are reviewing this little unit Pan. You're such a high quality car detail aficionado!

New to the channel and enjoying your videos. Recently, I became more interested in car detailing. But, i live in South Texas, and we're under severe water restrictions, so i was wondering if you have any recommendations on what i can do to wash my car since the restrictions doesn't allow me to use a hose to wash a car in my driveway. I do have access to multiple automatic car wash locations as well as one manual car wash. My current thinking is to get some quality products and use the manual car wash but im not sure if thats cost effective or if ill be allowed to stay for an hour+ to "detal" my vehicle exterior.

Regardless I am loosing confidence that your channel is of much help to me… I have been detailing my cars for many years the old fashion way, but I have finally decided to purchase a pressure washer - RYOBI 1800, for less than $100 - along with all the required accessories. For me, spending over $300 for the entire kit is all I am willing and able to spend. However, your channel seems to address mostly professional detailers or people willing to spend for the latest and greatest. I wish I was in that position but I am not and thus I am finding your videos less than useful. I suspect that many of your viewers are weekend warriors like me that cannot justify $350 for the active 2.0, or the high price of most products you review. I wish that you would review less expensive products with people like me in mind.

Hi Mario. You perhaps did not look into the 1000 videos available on my channel. I have many videos for beginners, weekend warriors, and professionals too. Of course, as people get more involved in the hobby and passion, they want that better equipment and those better products, so obviously I have videos showing a broad range of such products. But as you're referring to pressure washers, I actually have a very detailed video comparing pressure washer from entry level price points, all the way to the highest end here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lYbafJJmi6l-ZtEsi=XByQYw3M1MRieqeT I also have basic detailing kits for the exterior and interior here: Beginners car wash kit: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fn6tfZmtj8iZidUsi=R2stV47j-cmHlJvG Beginners interior detailing kit: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3fZdGt3i8SFiMUsi=77vZpXAdN4t4NRMr Also, I highly recommend that you watch my Detailing 101 series for beginners, where I explain different steps like iron removers, clay bar, polishing, protection, etc. It's super simple once you understand the basics, and your car will look and feel 100x better! Part 1: how to properly wash your car: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXzSm2igZ6qma7c Part 2: how to clean wheels and tires: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pZ7alIGZiL6WiZo Part 3: chemical decontamination (iron and tar removal): kzbin.info/www/bejne/jZDGqnuwaL2mqbc Part 4: clay bar: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jnObhpSKeL2ogsk Part 5: machine polishing (paint correction): kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6TXhXiMfLKCiqs Part 6A: how to wax your car kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYvNmoOZqLV1qKM Part 6B: how to apply a ceramic coating: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qaK0iomgraukgZI Part 7: Differences between waxes, paint sealants and coatings: kzbin.info/www/bejne/apbNl4N-ltNmoZY Part 8: How to clean your car’s interior like a pro: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqnCnXuOfb6jgtE So please, before passing on uninformed judgment, do a bit of research, you'll likely always find what you need on my channel. Adam's does sell this Active unit here: amzn.to/42GB1Xo Anything between 1000 to 2000 psi is totally safe to wash cars. I use the 40 degree tip when washing my car. Sometimes a 25 degree tip to clean wheels.

Compared to my 2000$ pressure washer, yes this Active is value for money. Value doesn't mean the less expensive lol. It just means you get a lot for the amount you spend. You'd be hard pressed to find a pressure washer below 400$ that has this level of performance. You get what you pay for in the pressure washer world. If you have a smaller budget, that's ok too. But you won't get the same level of 2 gpm of water output. For pressure washer recommendations at different price points, see my video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lYbafJJmi6l-ZtEsi=eKbW1VNs6CAC5MWR

Active 2.0 is by far the worst value pressure washer for real detailing businesses. It doesn’t last and is built to break. Not to perform long term. If you care about your investment than I would never buy this unit ever again. Save yourself the time and money and get something else.

Have you used one personally? For anyone with heavy duty use, I prefer my Kranzle. But it’s many times more expensive. So you also get what you pay for.

11 kg or 24 lbs is compact? Hmm...Not sure whether PAN got this right, as he is lifting 11 kg with his left hand as if it is a toy. Either Pan should be Arnold or it is 11 lbs to begin with..
@PanTheOrganizer
@PanTheOrganizer Жыл бұрын
It's compact in its size. The definition of compact is "closely and neatly packed together; dense." So yes, it's quite compact for a pressure washer as it's physical size is small. As far as weight, I find it lighter than most high quality pressure washers, including my Kranzle which weighs in at 80 lbs. So by comparison, yes the Active 2.0 is much much lighter. And with its practical handle, the Active 2.0 unit can be hauled around as you wish. If its weight is too much for you, I don't know what to say lol.

I was interested in purchasing the Active 2.0 Pressure wash but do you think it’d also be ideal to use for concrete & roofs in addition to car detailing?
@PanTheOrganizer
@PanTheOrganizer 5 ай бұрын
Not sure, as I don't use my pressure washer for those purposes. My guess is you'd need a much higher powered machine for commercial tasks like that (3000+ or more gas powered pressure washer). For washing cars, we don't want anything beyond 2000 psi.

Uhhrghhh, this just doesn't cut it. I live in Malaysia, and my pressure washer is (way) better than this thing by far: My specs: - 130 BAR (1885 PSI) - 11L/min (3Gallons/min) - Comparable weigh with this one Costs: USD 55.

How well does this do for cleaning driveways? I would like to have my pressure washer be versatile enough to do both car detailing and driveway cleaning.
@PanTheOrganizer
@PanTheOrganizer 8 ай бұрын
I haven't tested this for that purpose. For detailing, we don't want anything over 2000 psi. If cleaning driveways is part of your livelihood, perhaps look into a more powerful gas powered unit with higher psi. But make sure you can adjust the pressure lower when detailing cars.

Even though convenient, I don't like hoses with built in quick connects because I like to put a water shut off on the hose that makes changing accessories easier without having to turn off the unit: shut off the water flow from the hose, release the water pressure, then change your accessory.
