Thanks for recognizing all the efforts I put into making my videos, but also in staying connected with my viewers. I'm the only big detailing channel that personally replies to KZbin comments on a daily basis. Don't get me wrong, it can get overwhelming, as you can imagine with over a million subscribers sending me thousands messages every day on all platforms, as I can spend up to 4 hours every day just to reply to KZbin comments. It does take away precious personal time or time with my family, but I try my best to stay connected with my viewers. :)

I have this as well. I am very happy with it. Great flow. Shaving cream foam with my MJJC pro foam cannon. Great customer service as well. Am on my second unit. Bought my fist in December. Didn’t really get to use it till the spring. Not long after, it started cycling on and off while washing vehicle. They replaced the unit right away. Really appreciated their support. I would highly recommend this pressure washer.

I bought the simoniz version of the ve52 last year (they go on sale for 230). I upgraded to an sgs28 wand, pf22 foam cannon, 50' flexzilla hose, and added a 4.0 25 degree tip from princess auto (i find 25 tips the sweet spot for using a short gun), and I couldn't be happier! I use it for my mobile detailing side gig and have no issue washing even large dually trucks with it

I have the Active 2.0 and purchased the tool, not the kit. It is fantastic and does everything you report. I'm a big OG fan and have added some of their quality connectors, Mosmatic swiveling gun, and MTM PF22.2 foam cannon. I'm waiting for the 5.0 orifice kit, but OG is back-ordered. I'm also using Koch Chemie products and getting fabulous results. I'm not a professional detailer, but I have been detailing my cars for nearly 3 decades. I keep upgrading my equipment as the science behind car detailing changes...or becomes more complex! Thank you for your excellent videos and attention to detail. Quick question, Pan. Besides the Koch Chemi AF, is there another product you recommend for a generic "maintenance wash?" I can only find the 1.32-gallon bottle of AF. It would take me 10 years to go through that much! LOL! I use GSF for my pre-wash and then hand wash, but if I want to get "stuff" off the car, is there another product that will fit the quick wash scenario? Many thanks for taking the time to reply!@@PanTheOrganizer

There are a few higher alkaline pH versions, some only available in big formats: Bilt Hamber Auto-Foam (pH13), Bilt Hamber-Touch Less (pH12), Koch Chemie Super Foam (pH12). But some available in smaller formats: CarPro Lift: bit.ly/3DTIpTL Gyeon Foam: bit.ly/3qkwpYw Gtechniq W4: bit.ly/3qlE7lb All three of these are safe of coated vehicles. But for regular weekly washes, continue with Gsf.

I'm by no means a professional detailer...I just like having a clean vehicle. After purchasing a new vehicle, I recently got into the 'personal' detailing and was looking for a pressure washer, preferably electric. Rather than splurge on a premium unit, I decided to give the Ryobi 1800 a try, even though the flow was only 1.2 gpm. For a cost of $95, it is performing very well. I'm using a McKillans swivel and foam cannon, and this setup makes plenty of foam, even with a 30' flexible hose...no problem in that regard. I did need an adapter to convert the Ryobi water out threads to the McKillans, but other than that not a single issue. Very satisfied at this point.

It couldn't fit the price point any better, good job Active! I'm using the 4.5 tip and like it the best. Almost a year later to watch this, and now version 3 is out; albeit twice as expensive. I have a Class C RV and was told to be careful using pressure washers on them. After a few hours of viewing different professionals talking about flow rather than pressure, it was obvious in which direction to go in order not to damage paint schemes and decals (low pressure/high water flow). I personally visited and watched a couple of Truck/RV washes, and they really put the pressure to those rigs. Since I can't control what they do, I continued to search for a solution. This system fits the bill nicely. You are terrific in your detailed review/testing videos; really appreciate that. I've decided to go with washer only, and then separately buy hose, cannon, soap, etc. Should make for a great investment for keeping my vehicles clean.

Great video as always Pan! I have this unit wall mounted OG style coupled with a cobra jet hose and active short gun / 4.5mm nozzle. One item I disagree with slightly is opting for the tool only. I bought the full kit from actives website and it was only $20 more than the unit alone. I think this is worth it to have an additional gun/hose/nozzle/foam cannon for portable use. I can disconnect my unit from my wall mounted set up using the quick disconnects and take it on the road with the accessory kit for washing things at my parents home. Just something to consider for those that may benefit from that versatility for a small up charge.

I had recently tried the Pro Flow from Chemical Guys after my old washer reached the end of its life, and that thing broke after 3 uses and was overall pretty cheap even though the kits from CG and Active 2.0 are the same price at $350. I also got the Active wand as well as upgrading the hose to the 50-foot Uberflex, and the MJJC foam cannon and I have been blown away by how wonderful it works and just how gratifying it is to use. I purchased the Active 2.0 from the Obsessed Garage website after watching his hardcore review videos. I use the OG spec Mosmatic swiveling sprayer, wand and nozzles and High-Pressure 100 ft Hose w/ MTM Stainless Steel 3/8" Female QD Couplers. This makes for a killer setup for about $700 USD. This set up replaced my 2 year ole cheapo Karcher set up which is still chugging along. The water output of the Active unit is OUTSTANDING compared to the Karcher. I have owned the Active 2.0 for 3 months now. My only complaint is the unit is so light it tends to tip over when placed on top my detail cart. I have to strap it down with bungee cords. I will have to figure out a bwtter way to mount the Active unit on the wall of my garage. I'm so glad that you are reviewing this little unit Pan. You're such a high quality car detail aficionado!

I honestly didn't think I'd notice the flow rate of water, but I absolutely did. It was significantly easier to get all the soap off. The unit is smaller than I expected in person, but does such a great job. Super happy so far with my first experience.

Decent unit been using mine for over a year. Power cord is long and good. The hose that is included will not even go around a car.. is about 6-10 feet too short . For a product aimed at the car enthusiast that’s an oversight imo. I have to pick up and move the unit, hose and power cable . A bit more length and it would’ve been perfect. My unit routinely revs up and loses pressure and makes funny noises. I’ve since replaced it with a Japanese built unit and gave this one to my dad.

The machine work awesome, fawless best pressure washer for the money. The great news is their warranty is legit a simple phone call had a Unit arriving to me within a week no questions asked. In my foam cannon i switch out the orifice from a 1.25 to a 1.5 because they kept tripping my breaker and i use orifice ranging from 3.5 to a 5.0

Great video, Pan. I found myself watching at the beginning, hoping you would cover all the bases, and I wasn’t disappointed. The most impressive one and I’m glad you mentioned, was the cleaning units. I heard you talking about the GPM, and found myself asking if you were going to mention cleaning units. Fantastic. I’ve had my 2.0 since launch day. It’s been flawless for me. I’m a weekend warrior. I have a whole host of tip sizes, the 50ft Kobrajet and PF22.2 foam cannon. I switched off of GSF, because it was leaving some film residue on my PPF, that I had to IPA wipe to get off. Really disappointing, as I loved the GSF snow foam capability.

I purchased this unit about a month ago and honestly wasn’t that impressed. I’m also not convinced it wasn’t working right out the box. The machine has a pretty big kick and almost falls over when you pull the trigger which I noticed in your video too. Makes shelf mounting difficult. I found the motor loud and would run for 30 sec to a min after having stopped pulling the trigger and would surge/lose pressure mid washing. I took videos and got blamed for using aftermarket hoses (1/4” uberflex 25 and 50ft) then was told 3/8” hose would put less strain on the motor but the unit ships with a 1/4” hose. To return for warranty they wanted a video with factory equipment being used but I have no intention using the factory stuff. Ended up returning at my loss. Replaced with an AR630 TSS. Not to promote another product but that is an awesome machine.

I remember watching a video a long time ago when they were talking about gpm you want to have nice foam on your car. He said 2.5 in the video. This is a good budget one, but then you have to get accessories & that can get expensive quick. I like to just do it all at once in the garage. The Kranzle KWS700TS is what you need.
@PanTheOrganizer
@PanTheOrganizer Жыл бұрын
You can start getting good foam at about 1.6 GPM, but yes 2.0 and above is even better. But there are many factors that influence the quantity, thickness and richness of foam: 1. Type of foam cannon (smaller orifices lead to thicker foam, but can potentially trip your circuit breaker depending on your setup) 2. Type of pressure washer (a higher amount of GPM water output leads to more foam, so a pressure washer with 1.3 GPM will produce less foam than one that pumps out 2.1 GPM) 3. Type of snow foam (not all snow foams produce the same amount of foam) 4. Dilution ratio of snow foam (adjust the dilution according to your setup. Start with the recommendations on the label, and increase the amount as needed). 5. Water quality. The better the water, the more foam and suds you get. So deionized water will always produce more foam compared to hard tap water, for example.

The Canadian Tire Simoniz version is made by Active, it's called the VE52. The VE52 was the first generation. Hence why they released the new Active 2.0 You can hear one of the owners of Active talk about the VE52 and why they came up with a new machine in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nXq9aK2rZdt9mNk The Active 2.0 is a totally new machine.

Hey Pan. Thank you for your generosity, sharing of knowledge, and the time and effort you put in to your videos. My learning curve spikes with every presentation. Im ready to get started on my own car now. I am a beginner and have never detailed a car. Ive always "washed" and waxed my cars by hand, not knowing what I know now. I do want to buy the Active 2.0, along with the Active gun and the MTM PF22.2 foam cannon. Connecters, quick connects, etc...I need help with. I did buy a 50 foot 3/4" Flexilla hose and will buy the 5.0 oriface, along with the M22 14mm quick connect adapter. Do I need to buy any other type of connectors or adaptors? Also, is there a way to quickly disconnect the foam cannon and go straight to rinse or do I need something else for that? Thanks as always!!

Your knowledge is amazing - I can’t keep up. I just bought a 2023 S580 and had PPF with Ceramic coating installed. I love the idea of taking care of the washing myself and don’t want to buy stuff unnecessarily. I see this video - Active 2.0 for $349 pressure washer, Hose for $159, Gun for 79.99, foam cannon for $80?…. I’m getting lost in all the options, I just want to spend a DIY amount (ok, a generous budget). Can you please suggest the right thing for someone who wants a clean car done 2-3x per week personally? I think I almost have it - just need to get the right amazon items on the list and order them…. Hope you can help… FYI, I’ve watched countless hours if not days of your videos, your amazing, thank you. If it’s not forbidden by Ytube - please send me a link so you can get credit for my orders. Cheers.

Hi Martin. First, congrats on your new S580. That is one luxurious car. I have a full detailing video of a 2023 S580 (black) that I am currently editing, the video will be released sometime in September, so stay tuned. If you want a full kit for the Active 2.0, that's ready to go with all you need, here's a link: bit.ly/3Oyo09M That comes with everything you need, including high quality parts and quick connects, foam cannon, gun, wand, etc. That's the best bang for buck kit on the market right now. @@PanTheOrganizer I’m getting the whole kit …. ~~$850 US Because of you. I’ve never spent this much on a car before (this time roughly $150K+ brand new custom ordered), it’s my bucket list car forever (last car was $50K and I thought I’d never, ever spend more than that). I want to treat this new beast to the best so I’m relying on your advise and your videos to accomplish the best. I also want to give you max credit for helping me keep it at its best. I so enjoy your videos, please keep then coming. If you ever need me to submit a video for your benefit, LMK. Cheers to you and great success for all you do.

So I’m in the process of ordering a full kit: $1300+. Do you have a discount code or a reference code so I can get you credit on the order and perhaps me a slight discount? I’m going to order in the next or so and want to save a buck or two and earn a buck or two for you.

Myself i have a Karcher 1700 Cube but if it goes for sure i will pickup an active 2.0. I have the exact Kobra hose you show along with MTM Hydro wand and foam canon that was part of a bundle on carzilla. Thanks for reviewing it Pan, seems like a great unit

I enjoyed this one. Love that it shuts off when not using. My question is kindof off subject. But with that nice hose can I run 120° water from my water heater, which is also soft water. That looked like a nice hose. Many of the hoses I checked on are only for cold water. Thanks Paul

Hi Paul. As per their instructions, the water supply temperature must not exceed 40 °C (104 °F) for this pressure washer. So no, it would not be ok to run 120° water.

This was a great video Pan. I could never figure out why someone would use a snow cannon. It always struck me as an extra step and you needed more gear - especially a pressure washer. Call me old school but I'd rinse the car - regular hose and then use the 2 bucket method. Et Voila - a clean car. I have the same weather as Montreal so I get the whole -dirt and grit part. It's awful. I tried a pressure washer but didn't like it but now with the review on Active 2.0 and the new snow foams that actually help remove the dirt, I'm going to give this a try. It makes sense now with the new types of snow foams.

A good effective prewash with a quality snow foam definitely removes a lot of the grime and traffic film before the contact wash, compared to just rinsing the vehicle.

Looks awesome for car washing. I need to be able to use the washer for various projects around the house. Would this washer be effective in doing multiple washing projects that the normal homeowner would encounter

Hello Pan. On your recommendation I purchased this washer. Now I am attempting to connect it to a hose reel that came with a short supply line with 3/8” male fittings on both ends. One end will screw into the base of the hose reel to supply water. The other end I want to connect to the washer where the water will come out. But I am completely confused on what connections to buy other than the 3/8” socket to M22-14mm fitting which goes on the washer you provided the link for in this video. PLEASE HELP! Thank you.

I’m not an expert on connections and adapters. Perhaps go look at the Obsessed Garage website and look at his Active 2.0 package and see what fittings he uses. He’s an expert with connectors and adapters and kits.

@@PanTheOrganizer I found your channel by browsing KZbin for auto ceramic coatings. I finally received my new 2024 C8 after a 13 month wait! You are the best auto care reviewer I found. I like your direct, clear, and concise reviews of various car products. I would not have purchased my Active 2.0 if it were not for you. I still find the intro music to your videos weird, however. “Poochie can Pan, poochie can. I can make you pee”. I do not understand that (???). But keep up the good work on the reviews.

The beginning of the intro aren’t actual words but at the end the song says “Now look at me” which is also the title of the song.
