For me using sufficient weight (16 kg) was key to feeling the 2H swing. Also, learning to pull with the hamstrings and glutes was a major challenge and a lot of popular swing demos don't address that key part of the movement. This (Lebe Stark) is one of the few resources that explains this well.

In my own humble experience, Everytime you step up 1 pood (8kg), you learn new things.

When I was learning KBs, my models were Pavel, Valery, Steve, Jeff, and Lauren. You probably know these people, been around a long time and they are legit experts.

Great analysis... and you right people blindly follow "big" names or institutions for Kettlebell Workout without Regard for Technique... Thanks For Spreading Truth!

Yeah, Lebe does a good instructional job. I also like to go back to Pavel's videos if I feel I need a back to basics with the hard style. It's really just a preference. The hard style form makes me feel like I'm doing it correctly.

And with regard to Rotational Training I have made great strides with Maces & Steel Clubs since age 57 (five years ago) to augment my Kettlebell Training

I like the 'crushing grapes' cue. It's sorta funny, I actually like snatches way more than swings. Swings have never really felt comfortable, but once I started snatches, I never looked back.

I would like to share with you my opinion about such things. Majority of people don't like to think at all by their own heads! At all. This is the reason why plenty of experts in any aspects of life floo😂😂😂ded KZbin and internet. If you have a ketllebell you shouldn't listen ten hours how to swing. Take your ketllebell in your hands and commence to swing. Start doing this motion slowly, step by step. And belive me, after 10000 swings you will become an expert!

Do the arms have to be bent or straightwhen the kettlebell goes up?
@pqoi9fr0ewfuhcАй бұрын
Straight, arms are just like ropes with hooks in this movement. Keep arms loose, but don’t engage them
@therealsnailyАй бұрын
I wouldn't say straight, but as PQO said, loose is key. The bell always leads movement and your goal should be to have your torso as much contact time as possible with the kettlebell without restricting its momentum until you reach the lowest part of the movement, in which you do need to break it with a hip-thrusting action, at least in hard-style swings.

As you use bad form, the pain from injury will teach you to use good form. 🤣 My swing form is just like yours. Hands to crotch level.

In this video, you are contradicting yourself more than Harvard instructor contradicts your KB passion. 1). You told that with light weight it's fine to make mistakes, and Instructor does demo with light weight in "soft style". With wrong initiation, no drive, though, which you mentioned 2) You tell about out of range precautions, Harvard provides with such precautions, which you are agreed with. 3) She shows so called "soft style" of swing aka "girevoy" . One is invented by Pavel Tsatsulin for general fitness, another is being taught by Ksenia Dedyukhina (with perfection) as preparatory exercise for snatching. Russian Pendulum is the next step for snatches preparedness. Recommending heavier weights from start is for athletic people, whose bodies are accustomed to loads. Harvard targets broader range, many of theirs readers may be unconditioned and need to start with something. And eventually come back to your channel for valuable tips so to advance further. As I am coming back to your channel and to Angie Z Ziegler place. Learned two details over recent month from her, it could be three, but one trick got from somewhere else a bit earlier, she reassured.
