I was saying this after the second game of the season. Not building the trenches, especially O line, is gross negligence!
@robertwadas13 сағат бұрын
Its not all O-Line.. first, the oline is tall and Caleb cannot see over them and he is the 4th slowest passer in the league.. The line is expected to keep d-line pressure off for 2.7 seconds.. Williams hold on for 3.2 seconds.. Fields was over 4 seconds.. So we have got to stop making O-Line scape goat for every QB we have. Trubisky had a worst line but he was a quick read defense and got rid of ball quick. I guess that is why in his 3 years as the named starter we went to playoffs 2 of 3 years and he scored 87% of time under 2 min and lead the BFL in third down conversion passes. But he went 8-2 in 2020, so we dumped him for the least accurate passer in the league.. Mitch is the most accurate passer in Bears history.
@matthewrose800212 сағат бұрын
@@robertwadas Fields was 2.5 seconds which is what most people yelled at him for. He throws it out just a little quicker than Caleb.
@matthewrose800212 сағат бұрын
@@robertwadas Also, Fields had by far and away the worst team around him with the offensive line having some stats in his time that were worst in the history of the NFL that you don't want in one of his years (pressure rate). Fields was drafted at the start of a tear down where Mitch was here at the end of trying to stretch out and win a title because he had a lot of talent on the team. Fields first year we traded off the 2 best players on the team hoping to get draft picks and cap space back from over spending during Mitch's last years. Caleb was also the first year out of all 3 of them where we have very talented WR group with two players in the WR room who are top 20 WR in the NFL or shown that in the past. Mitch and Fields had less but Fields had a horrible group with his top yardage WR being a player who isn't deemed good enough to make a normal squad and is a career practice squad player. Insane that Fields had a worse WR group and worse defense and won more games against what was rated a harder schedule than Caleb who played with most of the same players going backwards and winning 3 less games with more talent.

@@matthewrose8002 2020, we put Nick Foles in... now did that O-line work out? Fields O-line was actually a really good O-line.. When his back up was in for 4 games...****** THEY WERE RANKED #1*** O-line in the league. As soon as Fields returned.. they went back down to last. He was the worst QB in the 4th Qtr, the least accurate passer in the league... 2023, Bears receivers were ranked#3 IN LEAST DROPPED PASSES. Because Fields held the ball for over 4 seconds, OF COURSE HE WAS GOING TO GET PRESSURE... he could not get past the first read ! His back up had no problem with pressure. After Mitch was named starter, he went 28-13.. That was the third best win% in the league.. They have lost 47 games since he left.
@robertwadas9 сағат бұрын
@@matthewrose8002 No Fields release time was over 3.5 (only 2 QBs in 2023 were over 3)... Bagnet was 2.25.. During those games the O-Line was ranked #1 in the NFL. Many games Fields avg'd over 4 seconds... He was last in the entire league.

Poles knew Braxton wasnt a top 10 LT, Jenkins is hurt every year, Davis was garbage & a wasted signing , & thought trading for a backup Bills G & signing an undersized C who wasnt a standout in the league would be a good enough OL to give his rookie QB. Drafting a 4th round punter in hindsight was just the icing on the cake. I used to think more highly of Poles but the OL in tandem with Claypool, Davis, Velus reach, Edmunds overpay, & 4th round punter is just too many misses. Guys gotta go

Listen, I come to you in this common section with wounds of my own of what I have been scarred to witness this season. Am I in agreement with you fully? Maybe not 100%. However, to certain degree the blame of this travesty false on the shoulders of Ryan pose. That is for certain! However, I am sick and tired of the barrel of the gun aimed at coaches and GM‘s for the lack of performance on the field. Here is why, first, players are paid a ridiculous amount of money during this modern age, and to not perform at the highest level is a complete robbery of the organization. In my opinion, players should be subject to being held accountable for not producing, am I right?. Last time I checked coaches and general managers do not wear the shoulder pads. If you look at the bears roster for the most part we’ve had and for some time now have had a lot of talent. For whatever the reasons why there is no production is beyond my understanding. How many times are you going to Coach a veteran player on what they already know for executing situational football? Now go out and perform at what you’re worth!! In my opinion, I think Ryan Poels did a good job with his selections, maybe not the management but picking and trading for talent. Why things fell apart the way that they did? I can’t answer that. So it’s tricky man. Help me understand. Go Bears!
@mmccastle136517 сағат бұрын
I can't agree on this one. He just got us from under these ridiculous contracts. Got us some weapons and now he need to address the o line/d line. Everything don't happen in one season. We are headed in a direction that can go up or down depending on the decisions made this off season (coaching staff, offensive line) Ryan made a bad decision with bringing back eberfluss, he then fired him to right his wrong. Not like he can bring in another coach these last few weeks. Can't keep chopping his head for the mistake on coaching once he is trying to fix it.
@toofast7516 сағат бұрын
His decision to bring flus back when everyone knew there were red flags last year was catastrophic. His decision to basically ignore and patch work the oline is also too egregious to let him off the hook. His misses and mistakes have been SO bad. It's year 3 now and they are going backwards. It's a complete dumpster fire under his watch. It's indefensible

I would absolutely extend Ryan Poles. The reactionary opinion of Bears fans is the reason we are not a successful franchise. I can see a logical reason for the decisions Ryan Poles has made. I can see how the roster drastically improved in 3 seasons. I can see how that happened while creating constant salary cap flexibility and draft stock improvements. I can see how he gave his coaching staff players that they should have gotten more out of and we can all clearly see how the coaching staff failed at that.
@toofast7516 сағат бұрын
You must be Ryan Poles brother. To say this roster has dramatically improved is laughable. What evidence do you have of that? A 4-12 record this year going on an 11 game losing streak?
@faizsportstalk15 сағат бұрын
You would extend him even with his colossal mistakes on coaching and O-line?
@robertdonald40915 сағат бұрын
@faizsportstalk i would extend him because he took swings while remaining cap flexible and improving the team as a whole. The expectations are unfair. He built a much better team in 2 years. There were major and obvious coaching failures, including and especially on oline development and offensive structure as a whole. Because of the work Poles has done we have the ability to take swings at all of that again this year. I think people grossly miscalculate what his job is. And if you are so fickle that in 1 season you can flip this far in opinion than perhaps it is you that should adjust how maleable your opinion is.
@faizsportstalk15 сағат бұрын
@ so do you trust him to get the coach right and fix the offensive line, which he hasn’t done in 3 seasons?

@toofast75 it is not laughable. We have been so dramatically outcoached that it skews the team. Can you honestly say that the ciaching staff we currently have would win with any team? Now ask yourself if the lions coaching staff could win with our players...

What a load of rubbish, he can't win 1) Second half of last season Flus had us cooking, hence our optimism into this season. Was never going to fire Flus and chase Harburgh 2) If he takes Caleb pick one and fills the trenches, we'd be bitching about the lack of WR depth after DJ Moore. He made a gamble with the Oline he had and signed skill players, it's not paid off 3) IMO he needs another draft to build the trenches and this seems to be the draft for it, firing him does nothing for the team. A new GM will want to stamp his mark on the squad and we will be back 2 years on this Patience is key

hey Faiz! I've watched a lot of your videos and your take on the Bears which for the most part were pretty good but I will have to agree with one other texter. You seem to be caught up in your emotions and feelings due to the frustration and disappointment in the Bears. I would just like for you to think about something for a moment. I hear a lot of bear fans talking about how they have been a big disappointment pretty much their whole lives and I couldn't help but to think what's worse the Bears who are supposed to have been so terrible or the person who knows it but yet keep watching them and spending their money? Keep in mind all the hype and expectations came from the media and the fans and never came from the Bears organization or the coaches. You saw a lot of talent and just automatically thought that it was going to be immediate success and when you look back at other teams who had a lot of talent how did that turn out for them? Just a little food for thought my friend

This is stupid. Calling to fire Poles after every Bears lost like hes coaching the game is just stupid at this point. The season is over and been over. It's a failed year. The coaching staff isn't good. Poles put a quality team together. Say what u want but a better coaching staff gets 9 wins out this team easily. Poles job is to put the team together. He doesn't coach the team. It's the coach job to coach. IMO, Poles did a decent job putting a decent roster together. Jim Harbaugh gets 10 wins out the roster. The Bears have talent for 10 wins. They don't have the coaching staff. Poles didn't addressed the OL but again, a better coaching staff would cover up the holes. Ultimately the Bears would lose because of the OL but it wouldn't look this bad. Poles isn't getting Fired. He'll get extended and they will likely get Ben Johnson. Jumping the gun and say "Fire Poles" after a Bears lost is the immature kid way of doing things. Contents matter. You have to put things in perspective. At the end of the day Poles put out a decent roster and he has manage the cap and draft capital very well. It's not like he destroyed their cap, and traded draft capital for subpar talent. Yes the Claypool trade was a disaster but he more than made up for that with the Panthers fleece. IMO, Poles goes nowhere and they will get Ben Johnson. These erratic emotional videos kill me especially when u was just praising Poles a few months ago. Don't be so dense.

Bears ownership is so worried about fans and business income they basically do what the fans want.. and how is that working out ? Everyone argues and calls me crazy, but the fans pounce on me until I give them the numbers... The worst mistake was getting rid of Trubisky.. He was the starter for 3 seasons. We went to playoffs 2 of the 3 and his HORRIBLE year, the Bears went 8-8. Boy, 8-8 sounds like something we could have kept going. His O-line was just as bad as they were since him. He fir the Bears. Hisd 2018 playoff run, records and stats had nothing to do with the offense. I would say the 2023 defence was much better than the 2018... Mitch fit the Bears despite Nagy trying to tank him and put foles in when Mitch had 0 losses. Well it took mitch to go 8-2 to recover foles xrap and get bears to playoffs which we lost due to defense fouls on 3rd down stops that extended plays which all resulted in the only 3 scores for NO.

Going back my thoughts the Bears could trade the pick to Washington or New England for a top 3 pick, a 2nd round pick, a 4 or 5th round and second in 2025 draft. Then I would draft 3. Marvin Harrison Jr. 9. DE Jared Verse or trade and the 2nd round draft Center Frasier or Powers-Johnson. (With Fields that's 4 starters in compared to 2) Now, the Bears to need to sign RG Trey Smith and probably C Drew Dalman. Hopefully, go after a Guard in the second round of the draft. As for Tackles this year's draft is not very strong at LT prospects. I like Williams, he is great prospect and looks to be an above average QB similar to Kyler Murray.

Biggest problem.. Williams is to short.. hate to break it to everyone... He is really 5'11.5inches tall and cannot see over the O-line.. Here is a list of all QB's under 6ft that won a SuperBowl 1.=none 2.-none Why do you think he holds the ball so long... he cant see 1/3 of field and he cant run like Kyle Murray. My Background= 5th grade- college (ECU- Sean Paton my QB) , 10 years coaching with 2 state titles, coached 5 players that went on to NFL, 2 have Superbow; rings and 3 TD's in SB. My Son is a current scout. Im not a fan when it comes to the science.

@@StevenAsadi Post upside down gravity post. You hang upside down for 15 min and you will be taller for 1/2 hr. I actually did it to my doctor last time and I was 1.5 inches taller than I had been every 3 months since 2017... they did it again and they were puzzled until I told them I used the board before I came in. I use it to keep spine stretched as I have 4 fractures on my spine... So no.. he is not even 6ft tall.. not a theory, its just a fact.I know witnesses who were there and using the board.

@@StevenAsadi LOL.. After he used the gravity board and hung upside down. Kust look at him on the Field. He has to drop far back to see over the line. I know, first hand, his is a touch under 6ft... I am 6'1".. I can go in and I will measure about 6'2 3/4" after gravity board for 15=20 minutes.

...to be fair this is really only his 2nd season as GM, his first year was blowing up the team. They were buried in dead cap, could not spend on FAs, and had no draft picks. It's taken the Lions 5 years to build up their oline. I would not be surprised however if they fire him after next week...Warren did not hire him, so he has no loyalty to Poles. I could care less what they do at this point.

Every year Ryan Poles has gone a completely different direction in the draft than I would have. Other than the first round, I like his first round picks and the only difference I’d have done is draft Jalen Carter

The only thing that might save his job is CW. The fact that Allen has more chemistry with CW than DJ Moore does is ridiculous. You never see Moore and Caleb talking on the sidelines. Wright has been above average so that negates Poles' good will from the trade with Carolina for me. But how do you fill the o-line with a bunch of backups and not one leader among them? No one to say, "can't have any more penalties, get your shit straight." No leaders on offense has been the downfall for Poles for me. It's been a "maybe they play harder here" mentality with FA and trades. Teven being moved from RG to LG for Nate Davis when Davis didn't earn his spot is an all-time travesty. I love/hate this team so much.

Chicago Bear fans give the GM another chance to fix this team if he do not get the job done then fire him

He's already had a chance after his first breakdown season. Since then he's had 2 seasons to improve the team with his own players and its a complete dumpster fire.

Truth is, I only want Poles fired, if he had free reign to choose who he wants and wasn't tied by ownership. It's hard to tell. No matter what We need someone the develop talent to make then better and get them better. Example: Zach Pickens. I want you to keep in mind, many experts had him ahead of Dexter when they were drafted. Many though he was the 2nd round Talent and vice versa. But forgetting that part of it, I feel no one has gotten better under the group of coaches that we have. Whatever Potential players have had. (B Jones Velus because speed kills, Scott) Anyone that has been drafted, hasn't gotten any better. But, if he was truly handcuffed and unable to make the picks he wanted because of ownership and lets say Warren knows that and by some chance he is cutting the leash off of ownership...this is the only way I'd want to keep Poles around at this point.

What are you talking about he hired Fluse and should have been fired after year 1 then he hired 2 OC then he drafted CW who is so far over his head and now your going to let him hire another HC HELL NO

@@robertbyington7715 If you read what I said, it was ONLY if he was handcuffed into it. We don't know the truth so it's hard to say.

The NFL (Nefarious Felon's League) needs to force Virginia (Skeletor) McCasket to sell the team like they did with Daniel Snyder and the Washington Redskins. They have changed everything, since 1985, except ownership. THAT is the problem. I don't know about Poles or anyone else but the McCasket regime has to go!
