I cannot understand why Philpott stabbed his ex-girlfriend TWENTY-SEVEN TIMES and then attacked her mother when she rushed into the bedroom to rescue her daughter. They both suffered life-changing injuries. And yet he was only jailed for SEVEN YEARS. And was released after three years and two months. Why? Why? If he had been locked up for longer he might never have ended up killing his children.

Not only do I feel bad for his children, I also sort of pity the women. They must have really been at a low point to think they couldn't do better than get with someone like Mick Philpott. Kudos to Lisa for finding the courage to leave him.
