Welcome to MojoPlays and this is the complete Super Smash Bros. Timeline Explained. On the surface, the Smash games look like nothing more than simple platform fighters without much conneective tissue between games, but if you take a deeper look, you'll notice a string of events, characters and themes that evolve from game to game, from the series' humble beginnings on the N64, through to the Ultimate version on Switch.

Honestly this video is perfect. We get a proper explanation on the lore of the SSB universe and would be perfect as part of MojoPlays Lore Explanation series. Hope I dont get killed but Brawl has the best story of all games.

Melee and Brawl are on the same timeline, because Sakurai has said Bowser sided with Master Hand in the subspace emissary because he wants the power to transform into Giga Bowser. Master Hand and Crazy Hand also appear in Kirby games, and Kirby characters aren't toys, so I'm not 100% convinced the series is just a child playing with toys. Sakurai has said characters transform into trophies, because of the nature of the "world of trophies" the games take place on. Smash isn't canon for most series, but I think Nightmare in Dreamland, Amazing Mirror, and Squeak Squad confirm Smash is canon to the Kirby series.

We actually need to clear one thing: is Smash set in a fake multiverse or a real one? Like... are the characters the REAL characters (which could be considering they are invited in the middle of their stories (like Corrin) and there are a few legit in-universe mentions of Smash (like Bayonetta mentioning the "fight club") ) or are they just statues that resembles other characters from other worlds (explaining the fact of before as those stories and mentions being from "fake" multiverse: like of course Corrin is called in Smash because the Smash-verse has a Fire Emblem region, while the actual Fire Emblem world this doesn't happend). When we clear this we can clear all the rest easily.

@@MariuigiKhed In Nightmare in Dreamland, the fountain of dreams was redesigned to match Smash Bros. Kirby's freeze ability gives him his "Ice Climbers" costume hat. Amazing Mirror has Master Hand and Crazy hand as bosses, and Kirby can copy "Smash" ability that gives him his Smash Bros moveset. There is an enemy in Squeak Squad that is very close to the Master Hand Swarm from Smash For. And Smash Ability returns in Kirby's Dream Collection. I think it's safe to say Kirby, King Dedede, and Meta Knight are the same.

@@SSJacksWolf but those arent very solid proofs, they might just be simple references. Master and Crazy Hand no, I do believe those are legit but also... Still does not prove if the characters are the same or copies that the hands created by spying on other worlds. More solid proof would be like Kirby, Link and Mario knowing each others with Mario being in the audience in Fun Pack and Link having dreams of a creature like Kirby (since Hyrule Historia does confirms that the Wind Fish took some elements of the island's creatures from Link's subconscious) in Link Awakening, Link being at the inn imand DK Isles in Mario RPG and the Donkey Kong Country games. But again... Nothing that states if they just happens to know eachother or they met on the Smash ring. I think Bayonetta recieving letters from the "fight club" is the most solid proof there is since those letters must arrive from somewhere and are in universe explained. But also also... In Metal Gear, Smash Bros is a game series like irl, yet Snake managed to join the roaster of a (to him) fictional fighting competition? Also also also... Think of the Zelda rep: do they change each game? They just shave/change costume? Is it just the Triforce spirit that manifest itself as its rappresentative? Too many loose ends to be totally clear on this.

@@MariuigiKhed The Ancients in Brawl are likely the same ancients from more recent Kirby game. Kirby's Dreamland 3 seems to connect ROB to Kirby's ancients. Tbh, I wouldn't be surprised if the world of trophies was actually on Popstar, considering we see Orange Ocean and Castle Dedede in the world of trophies. There are already multiple Master Hands. The main Master Hand died in Brawl. Smash For's Master Hand was the Swarm in disguise. And Ultimate have new Master Hands and Crazy Hands that came from the worlds of light and darkness.

Super Smash Bros is the Best Fighting Game Franchise change my mind, yeah there are Tekken, Street Fighter, Guilty Gear and King of Fighter, but I have the most Biggest Experience with Super Smash Bros. My first Smash game was Super Smash Bros 3DS when thanks to Best big sister ever I've got Nintendo 3DS Red Super Smash Bros Special Edition in christmas 2013 over a 10 years ago, now when i'm thinking that I'll feel so old wow. In christmas 2018 I wished Super Smadh Bros for Wii U for Christmas, but then thanks to Best Parents ever I've got even better Christmas gift Nintendo Switch and Super Smash Bros Ultimate what was my first ever Nintendo Switch game over a 5 years ago. And in a last year's september I finally bought Super Smash Bros for Wii U, but sadly it's not worth it to play it anymore and 3DS Smash Bros, because sadly RIP Nintendo Wii U and 3DS Online, and i'm not going use Pretendo, because "You're not Nintendo, you're Pretendo", do anyone remember that Mario Kart meme video? For me it dosen't matter there's no Online on Wii U, because I've never played games on Online on Wii U or 3DS and I only had éShop on 3DS not on Wii U sadly. I've always played and still play Single Player games even on Switch, so i'm not going to sell my Wii U or 3DS, because those consoles belongs to my childhood and I have much of good memories with those consoles defienitily 3DS. About of Super Smash Bros games I've never played, but i'm interested are Smash Bros 64, Melee on Gamecube and Melee on Wii, I only played my friend's Brawl with friends so I have a little experience of Brawl. Was there any Smash game on Nintendo DS? I believe there's no, because I've never heard there is Super Smash Bros on DS. Super Smash Bros Ultimate on Nintendo Switch is my first Switch game, my favourite Smash game, the Best Nintendo Switch game and the Best Fighting Game of All Time. Smash Ultimate have surprisilly interesting Story in Storymode, gameplay is fun, arenas are awesome, soundtracks and defienitily Theme Song are the most Greatest in a whole Video Game World. I'm afraid Ultimate is the Last Super Smash Bros game, but I'll hope there is still coming a new Smash game maybe for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.
