I have done all the steps of the application. Then I looked for my papers to prove that I have been in the UK for over 6 months. When I reopened the application, I started over but when I photograph my passport they tell me that I am registered. How can I enter my proof of stay here in England. Is it required that you register at your home address at your local city council in the UK to qualify as being a resident of the UK if you are a EU-citizen and want to qualify for pre-settled status in the UK? I hope not because I plan to rent only a room in a shared house and I probably will move houses i.e. rooms quite frequently too.

You can apply to be put on the electoral register at your local council even if you live in shared accommodation.

Adrian Bittner a lot of people I know are using the Windrush scheme. A form download from the the government website. You can use different types of id docs.

@@midastymiwaynedasty2681 That is really odd. I do not know why it is not working. You should be able to go to Google Play and type in "EU Exit: ID Document check" and the app should appear. If you still have trouble, there are loads of organisations who should assist and not charge you any money.

I got approved pre-settled status via email. I was in the UK in Dec 2019 and got it approved in Jan 2020. Later, I travelled and was outside UK. Due to the covid I couldn't return to UK until Dec 2020. Now I'm back since Dec 2020 and stayed here until now in Feb. 2021. What shall I do next ？ Also, I don' t know how to apply pre- settled for my non EU husband.

@@AliceDrogoreanu it is really not EU nationality only. for example: Germany husband , Thailand wife(non EU citizen). they both live in UK.(or in Italy before, now both living in UK). the Thai wife would get resident card. (if husband is British only,then she gets Resident Permit, not"CARD" you can Google to have a look) the right that support her to live in UK is according to EU free movement. this EU settlement scheme is for family members ,as long as one of them is EU citizens.

Once I finish studying there, I am thinking to move to either another European country or UK for job. EU settlement scheme is ONLY for EU citizens witch are currently living in the UK to keep their rights to live and work in the UK after Brexit.
