So cool you guys are doing Superman Rebirth thanks Sal, also totally agree with the parents, keeping them alive was the best thing from Post Crisis Superman, Some writers(Mark Waid, Grant Morrison, Mark Millar, apparently Dan Jurgens too) have said Clark Kent needs a death to help motivate him to become Superman like the Golden Age Version, and I agree with that too a certain degree, but I always thought instead of the parents, Lana Lang dying would have a much better effect, as she becomes a really useless character after Clark goes to Metropolis, and it would give her character much more weight if she died and that was "One" of the reasons Clark goes to Metropolis. Lana Lang is always fun too see every now and then in the present Superman stories but she always outstays her welcome, ex Superwoman Rebirth lol

She has literal godly durability, her skin is stronger than any armour, wearing anything more would only hinder her agility and cost her money to repair or buy more costumes. In truth Superman doesn't need a costume at all. Dude, it's just aesthetics. I loved how new 52 Superman looked, in fact he was actually growing on me. He wore the armour as tribute to his special heritage. And the Superman/Wonder Woman relationship I adored. I was very on board with most of the new52 and it pained me that not a lot of people shared that, in fact they were ripping into everything DC.

Alright Sal, you should do a DCEU topic on elseworlds exchange. Like tbh it would be cool to see it. Everyone complains about the DCEU but nobody actually says what they would have done. Idk if this fits your schedule or if you care to do it but Either "How to fix the DCEU" or "How you would have laid out the DC cinematic universe" could work as a topic. The question of Clark and Lois having sex, and Clark needing to be depowered for it to happen, I've always dismissed. It comes from a baseline assumption that his reproductive operations are those of an enhanced human (ie: force of ejaculation is enhanced to create shotgun scenario). When he's not an enhanced human at all. As an alien, we can't even confirm that he has a dick, let alone the idea that it operates exactly like that of a typical human male (instead of like a leaky faucet or something). Whatever he may or may not have between his legs (I choose to believe tentacles and/or pincers), we also don't know what being "enhanced by Earth's yellow sun" even means for it. And alien/human hybrids like their son are a long standing staple of science fiction, so I don't even question the possibility of offspring. Long story short, Lois and Clark have a happy marriage and healthy sex life together, even with Clark's powers. We know this. The exact details of what goes on under their sheets can be safely left up to the imagination, but Clark's proven he can safely keep his powers while bonerizing. Being depowered wasn't necessary for the conception of Jon with Lois during Convergence, but I suppose it helps if you're the kind of reader who can't get over the mentality of the infamous "Man of Steel/Woman of Kleenex" train of thought, and think that their marriage is sexless except for the rare occasions when Clark loses his powers, despite seeing them pre and post coitus numerous times ("They were probably just playing Monopoly in bed with their clothes off").

I love Superman in general, but I did enjoy New 52 Superman and was really bummed when he died and all his history between 52 Superman and Wonder Woman is pretty much gone. I know people had their points of criticism about him and the whole idea of Clark and Diana but I still liked him a lot and I genuinely miss him. Also Convergence did suck but Jon came out of it so at least we got something good out of it. 😅😅😅
