When Cary's brother Steven died 10 years after he escaped, one of his pallbearers was the boy he had rescued, Timmy White (now 14). I remember watching the movie about his brother Steven on Lifetime years ago when I was younger. Back then I didn't know what happened to Carey. No matter what, Carey did horrible things. Yet, at the same time, Kenneth Parnell (the guy who kidnapped Steven) started a whole domino effect that didn't just ruin Steven's life, but the lives of the entire family too. It's sad.
@scottaznavourian37202 жыл бұрын

Steven’s and Cary’s own family members were all child molesters five generations down. If you do little bit of research on this family blood you’d be surprised and disgusted. Sadly way before Steven’s kidnapping including Cary molesting his sisters. Their dad, grandad, uncles, etc all pedophiles. This family was SICK!

Omg, I remember so clearly when this happened! I was in Middle School and my Mom & I visited Yosemite two weeks before the first three women were kidnapped. I remember it really shook my Mom up because she was a single parent and fiercely independent. We lived in Washington State but would go on road trips all the time. Being a big fan of the outdoors, we would often stay at State or National Parks, usually in the lodges because they were cheaper and family friendly. After this happened, we would only travel with other families or friends. Thank you for covering this story. I knew they found the killer, but I didn’t know who his family was or that he had other victims. Super scary!

I'm truly happy you had a good dad. Unfortunately mine is a POS, so not all dads are good, but my heart really aches to have had a loving relationship with my father and have had a man as compassionate as that guy. I became homeless as a teen through absolutely no fault of my own. I had always seen my dad, every week of my life, but I was going through somethings and didn't see him for about a year. That shouldn't have made any difference to a mature person. When I told him what had happened to me, he told me to stop calling and bothering him and my grandmother, his mom, even though I had only called once. He hung up, essentially leaving me to die. Thankfully I got out of it, though my PTSD is through the roof still, though I'm nearly 40 now. I could have killed or sexually assaulted and he just... didn't want to deal with it. Typing this was painful enough.

Such a smug look on his face on that most recent one. Makes me sick.

Looks to me like psychological profiling is now slightly more preferable to physiognomy.

After finishing this story I went and google more about Yosemite and the first thing that came up was a family that recently died there. I’ve never been but that park is giving me the creeps.

The park is 1200 sq miles. It's huge. So, things happen there. It's all wilderness, and breathtakingly beautiful.

@@nicolenotizieeamici You swiped my suggestion! Mr. Ballen, here on KZbin covers a lot of 411 cases. Always with a shout-out to Mr. Paulides and his books and research.✌🏻🐱

It seems like all our National Parks, even Monuments, are hotbeds for disappearing people. Check out Missing 411. You will never set foot into the American wilderness.✌🏻🐱

Mr Ballen covered this story very recently. Both of you covered the story very well. I learned something different from both of you guys. Not that anything was left out. You both did an excellent job. Tank ya

Wow, as soon as you said his brother's name is Steven, I thought of THAT Steven. Had no idea. Just wow. Their parents ended up losing both of them.
