I've had 4 family members on different parts of the family live long, peaceful lives that ended naturally and uneventfully after long life (107, 105, 94 & 92) and some things they had in common - they avoided doctors, didn't watch the news or dramas, had strong personal spiritual lives and ate real food prepared at home nearly all their lives. All of them died without being on prescription medications. When one fell and got hurt watering the garden, the paramedics were in shock that a 95 yrs old woman didn't have a list of medications. I wonder how many things they might have been diagnosed with and medicated for in their lives had they been big on going to conventional doctors regularly.

Denise thanks for this testimony about your family. What you shared about them used to be the normal life for most people of the world and still is in many countries. The medical stablishment has been lying to us saying that thanks to modern medicine lifespan has been extended. The reality is the opposite in most cases. It is not true lifespan used to be only in the 40s.

Loved this !!!! Met with friends I went to elementary school with we are all in our 60’s now, they all look like Santa and Mrs Claus on walkers and wheel chairs. Meanwhile I still run 3 miles a day and work. They made fun of me 30 years ago because I ate like a rabbit , vegetables and fruit mostly . Now they say , you are so lucky you have great DNA. It’s not the DNA , I have fat unhealthy siblings . It is the consistent discipline of eating natural earth grown food and 48 years of working out 5 days a week. There is NO luck about it. It is hard conscious discipline. Now go eat a mango 🥰

Well done! Like you I'm in my 60's and super healthy & fit(calisthenics, weights, running, walking, swimming, cycling, know to dance) been eating like a rabbit for about 40yrs in all that time nearly all my peers from over 50yrs ago are suffering from early onset chronic disease & are medicated. They ask me what my doctor says about my health, I tell them I don't have a doctor. Last time I went to a doctor was for a triathlon cycling accident broken collar bone & nasty cuts, came of second best up against a car, that was 30yrs ago. My younger brother is in a nursing home needs a wheel chair, my younger sister suffers from all manner of chronic disease, survived cancer, but in serious decline, both obese, sadly my example falls on deaf ears.

Wow! My mother grew up on a farm and she lived till late 80s. She always said good veggies grown in your own garden helps your body so much to last longer! She said reason people die and get Cancer is from the food and chemicals in the air we breathe in and stress we deal with. my Dad lived till he was 95 years old, walked almost daily and ate healthy. I remember in the 1970 they both stopped smoking cigs together cause they affect it could give you . My Dad died of heart attack and my Mom died of sepsis in her veins related from diabetes. Both their parents lived till late 80 s too and died of heart attacks. I am glad giving this data I am big on hot teas..moringa, neem, ginger.I am trying to stop my addiction to sugar. Thank you for this data!! A short story I had pain in tummy...think ulcers. I could not get an appointment to a doctor since new in this area. So went to healthy food store..check what had for stomach ulcers. I watch what eat and no longer have that ulcer. ..aloe vera and herbs healed it.

This is one of the best things I’ve listened to in a long time. The mention of Doctors creating fear is so true. They seem to get their kicks from it. Yes and oatmeal does spike my blood sugar and a dietitian wanted to fight with me over that. She and others claim I’m wrong and they get very upset when I tell them white potatoes don’t seem so bad on my sugar levels. It’s nice to hear someone finally say everyone is not the same.

I lost 90 pounds, came off all medication, A1c of 5.8 down from 10 on concentrated insulin. I feel healthier and stronger than I have in years. I regret not changing things years ago. You are so right about how our medical system has institutionalized fear. I've had to struggle so hard to get out from under it but it's really worth the fight. I'm 76 now but still working on that "optimal cellular function" (getting good sleep, eating keto, which led to a natural intermittent fasting & despite arthritis, counting & increasing my steps). How do you make your loved ones to listen to this? I am trying by my own example and am often told to lighten up and enjoy life! All my family is sick and proud of how many pills they each take. Like a competition.

I have or had the same situation until I really I can't change anybody else except me. I am not longer telling them what to do. That is so much energy put it on others. I prefer to focus on me I am pretty sure your family members know what to do, but for some reason some people like that drama. I am the skinny/healthy black sheep in the family. They are one of my motivation to stay healthy. I don't want to be like them.

With respect, it’s about time MDs start looking at this info and applying it to help their patients. This has been an ongoing conversation in the ‘woo woo’ arena for 20+ years. Now that mainstream doctors are opening up to the conversation, hopefully previously close-minded people will be more receptive and feel empowered to improve their health. Thank you Lewis for facilitating the conversation! ❤️

@@healing_awakening368 Sadly, the MD's will _never_ give respect to the people that have been saying this for the last 30+ years. They'll take the credit for themselves and continue calling alternative practitioners quacks. Also, it won't happen overnight. Big Pharma is not going to roll over and watch their profits evaporate. That means medical schools are going to change at a glacial pace. Finally, the current generation of doctors will need to die off because for 98% of them it'll be too damaging to their fragile egos to ever admit they were wrong.

John, a resident of the assisted living/ retirement home I was working at told his doctor (many years ago), his secret of living a long healthy life. "Stay away from the doctor and keep on living!" John's doctor was not happy hearing that answer. Eventually John outlived all his doctors and lived to just a few days short of 100 years old.

You are what you eat. Your diet impacts your health. Lower stress, reduce obesity and more exercise are key to a healthy life. Obesity in children and adults is rising across the world. Fast food and sugary drinks are contributing to the problem of poor health and obesity. Eat a healthy plant based diet and exercise regularly. Reduce or ELIMINATE cows milk, eggs, cheese and meat. Eat more salad greens, beans, fruit and vegetables. Eliminate fast food, snacks like cookies, cakes, chips, and sugary drinks and juices. Every adult and child should own a bicycle and ride it regularly. Regular exercise will help you sleep better. Yoga is a great stress reducer. Obesity is all too common today. Get off the couch. Get off the phone, ipad or video game. A variety of stretching and other exercises help with increased mobility. Ride to work, ride to school, ride for fun. Every city should be a bicycle city. Speak up for bicycles in your community

OMIGOSH! Thank you for this interview. Dr. Casey is incredible and is essentially bringing “health” back to “health”care I’ve been fascinated about the link between poor diet and lifestyle and modern health conditions: diabetes, heart diseases, Alzheimer’s, kidney disease, cancers, poor gut biome etc and people have grown tired of my rants! Thank you for bringing attention to this because until mainstream doctors like you Start vocalizing, people will continue to feed their diseases and get or stay sick. I really believe that over time, the tiny arteries that supply vital blood to the organs and extremities ie kidney, heart, brain, feet, penis etc. become plaqued thorough poor food consumption and this contributes to the onset of these conditions, of course it’s more intricate than that and more than just the foods we eat as you explain (ie stress and inactivity). This knowledge has also led me to following low fat plant-based eating which I am also passionate about. People are hitting a hammer to the knee every day (i.e. what we eat daily) yet not understanding why the knee is sore! Thank you for explaining why this is so!
