I bought the Sigma 40mm 1.4 and Sigma 28mm 1.4 HSM lenses in L-Mount. They both have stellar reputations, although the 40mm is heavy and large. I dont mind because the image quality and angle of view are superb. Paid £575 for each brand new. S1 cost me £750 used but hardly used ie like new (700 frames on the shutter). This is an excellent camera at these prices, the viewfinder is tremendous.

I've been looking at an S1 and S1r and I've been told they're complete dust magnets ! I shoot events and concerts all with primes, and changing lenses is a must during the shoot. Is it a problem for this sensor?

I don't understand why Panasonic has integrated the photo part if this camera is only intended for video. I feel like if I bought this camera, people would laugh at me if I only used it for photos

I’ve used this for stills and it’s a beast. It has many amazing photo tools in particular high res mode. It’s a great purchase for photography, but for sports and wildlife the AF may not be accurate enough.

Just the info I wanted! I’m a beginner and getting into shooting some dominatrix porn. For the s1, do you think the 8bit 4k HLG in h.265 will be alright in the low light or should I get the canon c100 and suck it up with 1080p? I mainly care about dynamic range and reliability … I really don’t want to lose the footage due to a corrupt as card 😅 I would go with the canon but I have some vintage full frame Leica glass I want to make the most of. The sigma fp is another option I guess … but the sigma fp sort of requires use of cinemadng over usb c to an ssd, which I worry about…
