I agree with what you have said here. The only problem with your statement is the use of the word men. Being a man I can tell you these animals are not men. A man is a protector, provider and someone to be confided in, keeping in mind these roles are not traditionally confined. (Example, you don't need to fight people to be a protector) I think the use of theses phrases should absolutely be points of interest ( possibly already are now ) but again, these are not men. I have felt a lot of negativity from others simply because I have a penis. And other dick swingers are murderous cretins which means apparently I'm also a POS by proxy. There is no perfect legal system. As often as "justice" isn't handed out the way we think it should, a large percentage of cases do go well. There are a lot of variables to consider, as each case is different - judge, jury, attorneys, plea deals, evidence, criminal record, etc. Personally, I support the idea of life in prison for taking a life. Sometimes the death penalty even seems appropriate. But, it just can't work that way.

@@olserknam After you go unconscious your body starts breathing normally after you're knocked out if you don't have your airway obstructed...And you go limp..It is pretty obvious when someone is K.O.-ed. He needed to hold her for quite some time to make her die to due lack of oxygen or apply actual directed and willing pressure on purpose to crush her trachea. There is no devil's advocate here. This is murder with knowledge and a decision in the moment, not a mistake. The fact that he didn't get life in prison shows how the legal system is a joke....If he killed her in a fit of rage then it can be an accident and he can argue in court, but he hid the truth for more than a year and disposed of the body on the hush hush to not attract attention. Committing this then trying to hide it and plant a false trail is called trying to obstruct justice and you don't do that if you're innocent. He needed to stay in jail just for the fact he tried to hide himself and hide the crime after doing it instead of taking responsibility . What innocent man thinks of shit when they hear their house is searched then talks to a gun with the knowledge he will make him get away and avoid punishment in such a nonchalant way about killing their spouse? Any defense of this case is weak and contradicts his actions during the search and at the end of it.

Her mom knew something wasn't right and went with her but instinct, even down to the voicemails Lisa left that didn't sit well with her. You guys should google the case though. Local papers outlined everything the cops did to get close, which included inventing a fake trucking company and paying him a salary for 8 months. This one hits close to home. I knew Allan very well, him and I worked at a restaurant together for close to 5 years and only parted ways after I moved, this story would have picked up 2-3 years after I was friends with him. While he was extremely quiet and introverted he always joined a social situation (after work beers, bar night birthday celebrations) and always came off as strange but more like he was putting on, like he was trying to come off as this ‘strange guy’ while just being normally friendly. Interactions with him were sort of strange but not unpleasant. Him and I frequented a bar down the street (Shout out to JR’s in the NE, now looks like it’s a magic shop) and did so on a regular basis. He dated a friend of mine who is the one who told us about this when the story broke. While he could get angry and upset, no more than the rest of us, if he had bipolar disorder when we worked together (roughly 2006-2010) it wouldn’t have been noticeable, working in the kitchen they all had the same temperament. While I wouldn’t call him stupid or dimwitted, he worked best on a routine, high pressure curve balls were not his forte. While it’s true he was naturally a negative person, not so much that he was unbearable to be around. It sucks that this is where his life went and the damage that will remain in those lives that he caused, because this isn’t the guy I knew. After a large restaurant push would clear, him and I would go for a double smoke break, consecutively smoking 2 cigarettes and talk about each other’s night. We would then stay after close for a beer or go down the street for a pint, we would do this 3-4 times a week for close to 3 years until my departure, then fell out of touch. I didn’t realize he was out of jail until I watched this video which is nuts. Anyways, some insight to the man in the video, he was strange, just not the kind of guy you would expect to literally be hiding a body in his basement.

These stings are often and easily never entered into evidence and therefore are taking a big risk in playing with peoples lives. For this case, all they had to do was search the flippin house! The sting was unnecessary and seems to me that the cops have personal motives for enjoying this type of undercover theatrics. They shouldn’t be allowed to fuck around before conducting the obvious and most common investigative tactics, and seeing what kind of evidence that brings to light first! Especially in this case and especially with that terrible cement job cover up Alan tried to pull off. The sting wasn’t needed whatsoever, yet the cops were busy role playing and fucking around for a YEAR whike Lisas body sat in THEE most obvious of places just waiting to be discovered!Imagine if after 6 months in, Alan would have grabbed a brain and realized he needed to move her remains because that quik-crete disaster would for sure get him found out? What if he moved her, aaannnnddd the whole sting was found inadmissible? Then the PD would have fkd the whole case, and the family’s chance at seeing justice for their Lisa would have been less than slim! They gambled here, not fair, not cool and especially NOT ETHICAL! Adrian has compassion and empathy in his voice when he talks about the victims in these cases. He doesn't sensationalize the stories and I like that. He tells these stories with class, and when he throws in the odd phrase such as, "that would sure f*ck me up", it hits me funny bone. None of these stories are ever funny, but I do feel satisfied when the perpetrator gets a little, "f*cked up", especially when (in my opinion) they haven't received enough justice.

Some have started unofficially keeping tabs on these kinds of purchases, I don't know how they decided to come up with the system but it seems to be largely employee-led. I was purchasing supplies to clean out and finish up a REALLY dumpy basement: gloves, contractor bags, a shovel (for lifting/moving the heaviest crumbly bits of wall gathered in the corners), cleaning supplies, sand and gravel, and a large amount of clothing line style rope. (For making hanging planters! I was just trying to plan ahead for the plants!) The cashier told me there was something wrong with how they rung it up and they needed a manager to come approve the removal/re-adding of the cleaners. Within 5 minutes, there were 4 other employees standing at enough of a distance to not be crowding me, but any could have grabbed me if I ran. When the manager came up, they wanted to see my ID and, if possible, to pay with a card; I had been trying to pay with cash, it just seemed easier, I didn't think about how it looked. The whole time I was soft held in transaction limbo, the shift manager explained that this was they did if someone bought more than 3 "TV crime items," whether or not cash was being used. They didn't call the police, I was able to buy my "finish the basement" supplies, but they'd made sure I was on store cameras from multiple angles for even longer. They got 5 extra witnesses seeing me buy my lot, including the 2 who saw my ID and would be able to take down my name. They had gotten me to pay with a card, instead of the cash, so there was now a card number attached to the purchase date, that would line up with security cam timestamps. If I'd been buying those things for a sketchy reason, I have no doubt that hardware store would have turned over EVERYTHING by the time the police showed up. But bc it's unofficial and they can't do anything but try to socially weird people into not acting creepy, or collect advance data in case they do, it's hard to say it's "doing something" more than just.... Doing nothing. But I wish that was the norm. I do. I feel like 10 minutes of judgmental eyeballs every time this happens would really change how confident people feel going in, saying "I'm fixing a toilet" at checkout, and successfully buying a damn death kit.

The only real problem we have here is the importance of conviction rates to DAs that lead to some ridiculous plea deals, but even then 90% of plea deals involving 1st degree murder are no less than 25yrs. Also in America our legal system has a sentencing guideline for any violent offense where the convict has to serve 85% of any conviction. The only place in America that hands out sentences less than 25yrs or life for murder is Chicago and thats because the state of Illinois is run by slimeballs from top to bottom that purposefully hand out lighter sentences for a specific demographic in our country! Overall, our legal system is just about the best in the world when it comes to serving justice... its just that for the most part, certain members that make up 13% of our population are allowed to do as they please up until they take someones life! If someone murdered my daughter, i dont know if i could handle them being free so soon. I dont believe she tried to kill him. I think he made that up so he didnt sound like a freak murderer scumbag to the people he thought were his close friends. It just turned out they were cops.

I don’t think this would have made a difference. The judge didn’t believe it either. What was believable was the dude probably didn’t really mean to kill her, until that moment anyway. That makes sense to get a lesser sentence, but still, the dude got the same sentence as some minor crime for it.

Yep I never, EVER believe men when they say she attacked him, when she ends up dead stuff in a suitcase or something. Never. Do women attack men? Yes, but the outcome typically isn't 'dead and buried in concrete'.

I've watched quite a few real crime channels (among other things) but you seem to find cases I've never seen before or if I have, you present them in a lot more detail and fairness. The last two cases (I'm binge watching) were in my own country and I've never heard of them! Wow, I feel very uninformed. So keep on doing a great job and thank you very much. If there is one thing I have learned in life, the best thing you can do to solidify an already unstable and violent relationship is have some kids. If nothing else can fix it, bringing on another huge financial and emotional investment will. I guess adopting a dog was too much of a responsibility..... wow, dude got 7 years for killing someone? Holy crap, I have personally known people who served more time for drug charges.

My parents literally did that, though. My mom had fertility issues and miscarriages. For reference my mom met my dad while he was in prison with her brother...so yeah. Incredibly toxic to the point of cops called multiple times, multiple physical fights before me. My dad told my mom if they can't have a baby their relationship is over. After me it just got worse for many years. My dad ended up fucking my mom up so bad she's now disabled, as he pushed her and she fell through a weak spot in a shoddy trailer, which messed her ligaments and other stuff in her leg and knee, she got surgery but didn't work. After that it started settling down...after I had to pull them off each other multiple times as a little kid, which would drag me into it. They really cursed me with so many problems im left to deal with myself, or just, die, I guess. it makes me so mad when I see this because I know the kids are going to have so many problems that they'll probably have to deal with for the rest of their life. They probably didn't receive the nurture they need to develop correctly emotionally since the parents were too busy fighting and enveloped in their own toxicity. The parents probably started targeting the kids at some point. *This* can happen. It's just.... So dumb and there needs to be something to stop these couples from being parents
