If Charla did in fact pull a gun on him, then Darren may have had a self-defense claim; however, the fact that he both took a shot at the Judge over his divorce case before fleeing to Mexico under an assumed name in a vehicle rented ahead of time all cast a very long shadow of reasonable doubt on any self-defense claim.

Maybe she was a freeloader, who knows. The whole point that's being made by him is that the fact that he feels that she doesn't deserve what the judge is saying. Just because she wanted them to stop living the party type lifestyle that their relationship was built on (after she had a child with him) doesn't mean that she's someone that he respects in a certain light. She may have just been a good fit for how he wanted to get down. Only to then want to turn around and change him, when convenient for her. Maybe he is an asshole, but he knows her character well and he may feel that she is an asshole as well, that is getting an easy pay day based on her having a child with him. Plus, the business that he has was built by his family....... not him and his wife. When dealing with certain aquarians the negative sides to them are either very well controlled or due to the lack of self control, they will revert to doing stupid shit that will place them in a position of regret. That sign is very diabolical in nature, so I understand how bim buying into needing to win at all cost vs taking a different direction ended up burying him. She was pretty much a control freak that was aiming to break and control him by way of using the system.

I once fostered a friend's daughter for 6 months because she was in and out of rehab and couldn't care for her kid until she was clean. We went to family court to get me added as a legal guardian and we were the last out of about ten cases to go before the judge. All the ones before us were these couples bitterly fighting over their kids and money and accusing each other of all these horrible things, regardless of whether they were true or not. I could see how exhausted the judge was. When it was our turn she explained our situation to the judge and why she wanted me to care for her daughter. He said he was proud of her for putting her kid's needs first (unlike basically all the other couples who seemed to want custody just to hurt the other parent) and also how calm we both were about the situation. Instead of the allotted 15 minutes of constant screaming and arguing like all the other ones we had a quiet two minute discussion and then custody granted. I feel bad for family court judges because they have to put up with a lot nonsense from these people.

@@rizkiramadhan9266 It's where you go for things like custody and child support. The adults involved, and sometimes kids, go before a judge, state whatever is necessary, and then the judge can either decide the outcome right then or have you come back at a later date if it seems like things can't be resolved yet. You can bring a lawyer or represent yourself but there's no jury involved, just the judge. There is two sides to every story, not justifying his actions. It was the judges unfair judgment that led to this. This business was built by his dad and him and his brother inherited. Just having a child with a millionaire does not give you entitlement to large amounts of his assets that jointly belonged to his mother brother and him.

@@UniQ.Kamruz Even so, the situation could have been dealt with in a healthier manner on his part, and with all that money, he had the means to seek professional help with this manner and whatever overall mental issues he had so all this would have been prevented. Ideally before any of his marriages...honestly, considering his behavior and how he treated her in the first place, I have every reason to believe that despite the judge's track record, this was an exception. Because to me, this was payback for the abuse afflicted upon her in the first place all because (and it was stated earlier in the video) he disagreed with her decision to cease and desist on the swinger lifestyle to better not only her as a wife and mother, but also to better HIM as a husband and father...

@wolfzend5964
@wolfzend5964 2 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't really consider it ego but rather his perspective of fairness, or what he described as fairness. In the court systems it is clear that there is a bias towards women and against men. So to him to pay for a woman until the divorce was final because she was unemployed might have seemed unfair to him. And when he had to pay around 1 million, to a woman he believed was after him to do harm/ which I'm not taking his side since he was just as toxic as he claimed her to be/ he snapped. I'm not saying it was right for him to kill anyone, it's not right for *anyone* to kill someone in cold blood. But when you believe that someone is after you, and you are forced to, by law at that, to support them with nearly a million, by an unfair and bias system then understandably, you would be rather angered to some degree. But he made a choice, a sad and horrible choice but chose to kill his former wife and try to kill the judge because, in his mind, it was not about his ego, but the fairness of him having to be the one to burden everything. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter, we can't change the past, only learn and try to prevent this type of thing from happening. The real victims are neither the wife or husband but their child and their families. But that's how I took it. At the end of the day, a toxic man in a toxic relationship believed himself to be pushed too far by a bias system and in his anger killed those who "wronged" him. At the end of the day no one won and everyone involved lost.

@@wolfzend5964 is there really a bias when men who s3xually assult women either end up not going to jail or don't complete their full sentences?
@wolfzend5964
@wolfzend5964 2 жыл бұрын
@@WouldntULikeToKnow. Depends. The system is not perfect in any regard so shit like that will sadly happen. That being said the system here in the US is still bias as similar charges placed against a man and a woman equal different outcomes. If a man is charged with murder then they are punished with longer sentences than women. They would get life while a woman would get several years or so. Not only that but there have been many times where fake allegations of abuse have been brought up, a perfect example being the Depp vs Heard case. Johny Depp lost his career and had media sites and news networks constantly harass him while Amber cried victim. If it wasn't for us seeing the court play out and catching Amber in so many lies then I garrentee you that a lot of people would've still taken Amber's side, purely because "she was a woman. Hell, I'll get a little personal here. My brother was strong armed into marrying my sister in law and honestly she was kind of a bitch. He did all the housework, cleaning and cooking and was the only one who really worked. Whenever she worked she always stole from her job and got fired. When she wasn't working she was cheating on him constantly with other men, which obviously resulted in him wanting a divorce. He wasn't only threatened by her family for doing so but also would have to pay for everything which he did. It didn't exactly help that my sister in law would constantly call my mom and I to complain about my brother. Eventually he had enough. He got drunk and put a bullet to his head and died and after my sister in law practically had the funeral sorted out without telling us more about it I never saw her again. This story proves that some woman can be just as bad if not worse than men. And after looking around the laws I noticed many interesting things regarding our laws. A woman is allowed to physically abuse men with less punishment while if a man defends himself he can be sent to jail because most of the time the woman can claim the opposite and how a man has to "deal with it" Meanwhile I can probably dig up some cases for you regarding legal punishments differing for the same crimes between men and women, men being abused stories, false rape allegations and more if you give me some time. I'll even ask around work since some of my Co workers had to deal with real former ex wives who to this day still have to pay child support to a kid that isn't even theirs. Then we can see how exactly bias our system in terms of word and punishment actually is. Well at least in the US, I don't know if you're in the same boat as I am or not.
@wolfzend5964

@@WouldntULikeToKnow. That being said, there are many other examples where criminals got off free or got out early. Coffee House Crimes even featured one of the worst of it when a Japanese man ate a woman, got arrested, he got released and lived freely while writing a God damn book about it. So how the fuck is that fair. Another case is Nathan Dunlap, who while is still given life in jail, was spared the death penalty after he in cold blood, killed 4 former Co workers and tried to kill a fifth one. He got out because political bullshit. Thankfully he won't be released but how fair would it be in today's world if someone killed several women, was getting the death penalty and then just got life? Granted it's a perspective thing if you believe in the death penalty or not. Like I said in an earlier comment, I can find more cases where different criminals got different punishments, got out early and more. Honestly as someone who is interested in the prospect of law and sentences regarding criminals it would be fun to compare notes with others when I have the time. But what I'm essentially trying to say is that even if a system has it's flaws, even if there are exceptions to the rules, people that get away, that doesn't mean that bias isn't involved. Each individual case should be seen at both sides and should be taken seriously. It should be decided by facts and by truths than by he says she says without much backup. But sadly that is the kind of mess some of these things are. People of different genders, races, nationalities, ect will slip through the cracks. All we can do is try our best even if the best we can do doesn't equal justice. All we can do in that case is hope for the best for the victims. We can't change the past but we can learn from it. Sometimes that's all we can hope for and do.

😂😂😂 Charla wanted to be famous. When Charla discovered in LA that she didn't have the talent, Charla moved back to Reno and became a sugar mama trophy wife. Her true calling. 😂😂😂 As for Darren, the ultimate narcissistic sociopath. This dude lives in his own zip code. 🙄😳🙄😳🙄😳

Tragedy. Money is the root of all evil. Darren Mack should never be paroled. My thoughts and prayers go to the children who now have no Mother or Father. Thank you Adrian for posting this case.

I am so confused as to how people can look at all the FACTS and still believe people are innocent? I have never been able to wrap my head around those types of situations. Family, friend, whatever the case may be the TRUTH is the truth.

Right? Like, his wife attacked him, he defended himself....then disposed of only the evidence of self defense, tried to murder a judge, and fled to mexico. Riiiight.

It's likely men that have been through divorce. It's significantly bias towards them making empathy easier; statistically a recently divorced man is about 45x more likely when compared to your avg woman

In this case, I wonder if the father is holding money over his son’s head. Narcissistic psychopaths are very good at manipulating people too.

Sounds to me like he was narcissistic and delusional. He really honestly probably thought that this judge was unfair and cruel towards him in his treatment which is insane to me. He was ordered to pay her what basically amounted to a few month's pay over the course of 50 months.

This could've been avoided if there was a prenup AND better divorce system that was fair to both sides

Thanks Adrian for condemning the actions of all those who commit these atrocities. A lot of those who do true crime stories don't condemn the murders like they should.
