This is a remade version of the original video which I had released as a 3000 subs special back in May. Here, we take a look at who actually lived in the territory of the First Turkic Khaganate from 551 to 630 CE.
In the Gokturk documentary, we saw how the Asheena family appeared seemingly out of nowhere in the Altai Mountains around the year 400 and from there liberated the Turk people from bondage. Subsequently, the Bumin and Istemi brothers assumed ruler titles, gathered all Turkic tribes and federations, and in the process established the first Eurasian steppe empire in history. Now I have always spoken of "the Turks" when I have told you the events in the Gök-Türk Khaganate. However, this does not at all mean that only Turks lived in the Gök-Turk Empire. Moreover, "the Turks" had been scattered all over Eurasia before the arrival of the Asheena - the Khaganate formed only the loose confederation of all these Turkic peoples. The question arises: which Turkic peoples actually existed at that time? Which ethnic groups still lived in the empire? And how was the interaction between all these ethnic groups?

I am from Hun-gary. Our resercher find similar things connected with this film: Hungarians (Magyars) DNA, according Dr. Endre Neparáczki, „Archeogenetic analysis of the origin and genetic relations of the Hungarian conquerors” (published 2017): Hungarians are 40-50% Srubnaya Scythian, 30-40% Asian Hun, 10-20% Caucasian Iranian-Alan. Our closest genetical cousins are the Baskhirs, the Volga Tatars and the Macar people in Kazakhstan. The archeogenetical analysis couldn't find any Finno-Ugric or Slavic effects. Surprisingly we are far less mixed than the Slavs, the mediterranian, or the western Europians. Hungarian folk was born in the big eurasian steppe belt, and we are still there, because the Carpathian Basin is the very west part of that. That is why this land was basicly always dominated by steppian arrow user horse riding people, even we must fight for our existence and freedom in every century for at least in the last 1100 years. According to the archeogenetical research of Dr. Miklós Kásler, our first king dynasty the House of Árpád was founded 4,500 years ago in Baktria, as Turul dynasty, what means connection not only with Atilla the Hun, but more than possible with the Seljuk-Turkoman I.Tugrul and I.Osman, too. Árpád Khan (Kende, Kündüm) father was Álmos Khan, living int the IX. century who's grandfather (mother's father) name was Edebali (in latin: Eun-Edubeli-ani). His mother name was Emese and her mythic lover was the Saint Turul Bird (compare it with the XIII. century Osman-Turk legend). Álmos Khan owned the Sword of Truce by Attila the Hun. The most part of the Kipchak-Cumans (with smaller Iranian „Jász” tribes) wellcomed in the middle of the XIII. century escaped from the Mongol invasion, so arround every third Hungarians have their blood, too (They where not a part of the western globalist hybrid war, as the forced migrant invasion nowerdays). Our king from the House of Árpád, László the IV. - who had beated the Mongols in a big battle (1285) - was half Kipchak-Cuman, because of his mother. In the end of the IX. century, when Árpád Khan has freed the Carpathian Basin, he did not find big mass of Germans or Slavs, so rather easily finished the actual rule of the Franks, Moravians and the Bolgars over the large number of Avar and other Hun inhabitants, who where waiting for us and basicaly must spoke Hungarian, because we still have our language (The Turk-Bolgars originally where our close cousins, nearly the same folk, but later - because of the Slavic mass of the Balkan - they lost language and became Slavic). The Scythian Kurgans appeared on the Great Hungarian Plain in arround 3400 BC, centuries before the time of the Egyptian Pyramids! Basically we are not Finnougrian, but as Sabir Scythians our ancestors culturally strongly effected the north living small Turanian Finnougrian tribes aspecially during the Sintashta-Andronovo Bronze Age arround the south-east area of the Ural mountains (For example Gábor Czakó idea is that the so called „Obi-Ugors” moved from this territory to the north). More than possible, that the hungarian originally an ancient and unique language from the area of the Turanian Basin and the Khan Tengri (T’ien Shan) mountains. Not indoeuropian but close to the Turk and the Mongolian languages. The great musician Zoltán Kodály said that our folk is as old as our folkmusic what is based on Turanian pentaton sounds. Thank you for this interesting film. Csok tessekürt Khan's Den!

Wow! Nice write up and thank you for taking the time to write that. As an Asian-American only really living in America, the Only Steppe Rulers I really knew about growing up was Chinngas Khan and Attilla. The History we are taught in America is very Euro Centric and very biased! I am 50 years now, and in the past 3 years have taken a big interest in Turkic and Mongol History. Thanks to videos like these and write up like yours for educating me and keeping me interested.

@@KhansDen Wonderful! Honestly its actually more interesting and easier to listen to a real person than a auto-reader. Mostly because human speakers can portray tone and emotion. I quite liked your sarcastic comment in the first episode when you mentioned "anyone who thinks the turks do what attilla and gengis do all day... should think twice now". It just adds a layer of entertainment to the video. Especially since I prefer to watch spoken youtube videos instead of having to read case studies. Just makes it feel more real. The monotone honestly kills the channel for me. Its a bit harsh and I have to focus more on the words to understand the sentence as opposed to the combination of the tone, speed, emphasis etc. I've actually watched your first episodes like 12 times solely because I enjoyed the narration so definitely will be watching more when your speaking again :) Happy New Year btw

No, not really. It's like the Germanic tribes, they are pretty much the same
@CruWiT
@CruWiT Жыл бұрын
@@EasternOrthodox101 The German tribes did not disperse and settle much outside their homeland, but the Turks spread from the cold forests of northern Siberia to the west of North Africa, from India to the interior of Europe and established around 150-160 independent states in these regions. For this reason, a lot of cultural diversity and assimilation emerged in the Turkic peoples. Even many Turkic dynasties willingly applied assimilation oneself in order to be able to dominate the local folks easily where they lived more easily and not to have a rival Turkic dynasty. The Ottoman dynasty is only one of the dynasties that practiced self-assimilation and suppressed the Turkish population in the empire and subjected it to cultural assimilation. The reason for the emergence of 20 states, nations and language in the Balkans, where the Turks ruled for 400 years. Because Turks, unlike the Westerners, not imposed their own culture and language on the local people and allowed them to mostly live freely, not applying oppression, genocide and assimilation policies. Turks ruled many places in north africa for 400 years and no one speaks Turkish properly. Italians, French colonized for less than a hundred years and now none of them speak their own language and mostly speak french...

@@CruWiT No, the Germanics DID spread and settle outside of Scandinavia on a large scale and were also been mixing with Celts, and what you mean by Turkic peoples spreading yes, they did, but most of them were not the original Turkic peoples defined by haplogroup Q, as the Turkmen, but were Turkified people as Mongols and Caucasians etc Most Turkic peoples whom we know today are ethnically and linguistically Turkic but not genetically
@CruWiT
@CruWiT Жыл бұрын
@@EasternOrthodox101 Turkic main haplogroup is J1a not Q. Most of turk more or less J1a contains. I did not say that the Germans did not spread, I said that they did not spread to a wide geography as the Turks. These are the original Turkish dynasties, because all of them have at least 7 ancestors, minus the historical documents of the time, it is written to which families these people belonged. For example, the founder of the Mughal state in India, Babur Shah, defines himself as Turk and attributes the maternal side of his lineage to Cengizhan. If these rulers were not of Turkish origin, they would say that they came from the same lineage as the local people, instead of going to India, Iran, Arabian peninsula, Egypt and connecting themselves to Turkic ancestry from there.

These documentaries by KHAN DEN doesn't explain Turkish relation with Russians, except a fleeting reference to Khazars. Are the Russians related to the Altaic Turks?
@KhansDen
@KhansDen 2 жыл бұрын
Indeed. The Russians have been left out because as a seizable ethnic group, they appear much later, at a time where the Gokturks had long been gone. Of course, their ancestors were already in the Northwestern parts of today's Russian Federation, but seeing as the Scandinavian peoples played a big role in the coming-of-age of the Rus people, it would only make sense to discuss the Russians when they first appear in the 9th century. And even then, their settlements at the beginning never quite stretched all the way to Ukraine and the Cacausus, which had been in the centuries prior home to the Khazars, but also the Ogur Federation. So, the question of a connection between the Rus people and the Altai Turks is hard to grasp. Today's Russians and Turks have quite a lot in common, as they are both ethnically diverse. I mean, the Russian Federation stretches all over Eurasia, and houses so many Turkic ethnicities that it is impossible to see some sort of connection here and there. But again, this relationship was established long, long after the Gokturk Empire. But thanks your question. It could be handled in another video, about a different time period. We'll get there eventually, don't worry :-)
