Little tip I learned about the 'Occupant Comfort' feature in my '22 Mazda3 Turbo P+. If you manually operate the heated seats or steering wheel, they will disconnect from the climate control, even though the AUTO light stays on. You have to press the AUTO button to reconnect them. Only took me a year to figure out why my seats/wheel would sometimes not turn on automatically, lol. It's nice that Mazda lets you unlink them individually, but there's just no visual indicator to know when they are linked/unlinked to the climate control. You have to remember to press the AUTO button again, even though the light is already on.

I've had my CX-50 for a month now and I absolutely love it!! My only complaint, though it's so small and trivial, is that the cup holders aren't deeper. I can't fit a large 40 oz water container correctly. It fits, but only on an angle. My biggest gripe!

I would have liked if the cladding on the CX-50 had been utilized on the CX-30. I went with the Mica Blue on my CX-30 for the sole reason of toning down the excessive cladding. I like the Mica but I may have chosen a different color (Soul Red) if it hadn't clashed so much. I appreciate that some folks like that combination but it's not for me. The wheels on this CX-50 are what I'm looking for to mount my summer tires. Are they available in 18"? Anyone seen similar 18" wheels? I'd leave the current wheels on the snow tires.

I absolutely agree! The Zircon Sand Color makes those curves stand out, and I love women with Gynaecoid hips! The most fun is out of Turbo Mode! My only gripe with TPP, Gas Millage.

This model is a very good replacement for the CX-5 in Asia and Australian market if Mazda should discontinue the said model. But hopefully they'll make a next gen CX-5 for Asia specially because we're not getting the CX-60. I love this as I love the CX-5 as its more spacious and rugged looking.🏎🏎🏎

I’m sooooo disappointed they put the stupid stop/start on this model. It seems that the non turbo lower trim doesn’t have stop/start. Is this true?

There's a dedicated button to turn it off if you don't like it.

It does not stay off permanently. It will revert back on each time the vehicle is started.

Non turbo models have cylinder deactivation. It is designed to shut off two cylinders at certain speeds. I will try to find the video and link it here.

I have a Mazda 6 carbon that I took for service to fix the low oil issue, and I had a cx-50 non-turbo as a loaner. Here are my key takeaways: The good: -instantaneous wireless apple car play. -the steering wheel design and dash design. -cool look with the 20in wheels and rugged exterior. -Porsche 911 steering -cup holders in front of the shifter The bad: -It's hard to go back to a non-turbo engine:) -the seatbelt chime is annoying as hell. -the panoramic roof is nice, but when open, it opens only about 50% compared to a standard roof. Why? -the version I had was $34k. No adaptive lights. Do you have to get the turbo for that? -the non-360 backup camera doesn’t fill the screen, so it only uses about 40% of the big screen. -it’s not as quiet as cx5 or Mazda 6 I couldn’t wait to get back into my Mazda 6 carbon :) I hope they bring the Mazda 6 with rear-wheel drive. I like the Mazda 3 hatch turbo, but I can’t go back to non-ventilated seats :) Thanks for all your videos! We also have a cx9 gt

I noticed the same thing about the pano roof on a video of the CX-90. The pano roof in general looks smaller than competitor's. I don't recall hearing the seatbelt chime yet on the CX-90 but I know it's annoying as hell on the new Pilot based on videos. If you listen to Pathfinder and QX60 chimes they're nice and pleasant. Why is something so simple like that overlooked by designers?

Much better cupholder placement than the cx5, that's one of my top annoyances with the cx5. Mazda needs to move the screen towards the driver and just make it a touchscreen. I do love the machine grey.

They really need a cx-50 model more slanted towards premium on road.. painted cladding.. lower suspension.. i guess that is the cx-70?

That's not the intended purpose of the CX-50. That's what the CX-5 is for.
