Its kinda funny how Konami had slept on their fans wishes for God support for decades, but then are blasting phenomenal God Support left and right within two years. They really enable a fun time with the Egyptian God and each New Strong Support they release heavily boost the nostalgia. After all they starved us so long and now they doing it. Crazy.

Tearlaments can also just mill it from their deck while doing their normal combos, and Tear usually ends up using every card in their hand, so they might actually be able to use this effectively.

I'm an even more avid Ra player (I only returned to the game after seeing the Rage of Ra support), and the whole time I've been playing Ra, I've been thinking all it really still needs is a reliable way to search/bury the Phoenix. This one card, itself searchable with Guardian Slime, makes such a big difference.

The True Sun God can search out Sphere Mode. That already makes it a 10/10. I wish the second effect was better, though. Immortal Phoenix is nice when it goes off but it's not worth ditching regular Ra for. Most of the Ra support is built around getting Ra to crazy high ATK so it's not worth tributing unless with One With Sun Deity, to tag out. I think the Gods could use a Magicians Souls' -esk card. Something where you can just mil a Divine Monster, as apart of your Summon, so you can set up Immortal Phoenix easy.

@@takodachi1239 its a defensive card and plays into the second effect ra has that the community forgets because using it means you have a 0 attack ra, the idea is you would have a much more defensive ra build, you can summon ra without spending all your lifepoints, then either use up to 7 card destructions for your lifepoints, or summon immortal phoenix to do the same, you get sphere mode to your hand before they set up their board if you go first, and they cant attack the turn they special summon, which stops many otk decks instantly, on top of all that, immortal phoenix will be immune to any card effects the turn it is on the field, so it can be triggered in response to something like raigeki or any banish removal to save your ra from the easy removal it suffers from, and you didnt have to spend any lifepoints to have a 4K immortal phoenix, or sphere mode that becomes a 4k ra on the field. its definitely not competitive, but it allows the existence of decks that utilize ra's destruction ability, and doesnt force them to play with 100 lifepoints

If you get two monsters on the field and Obelisk in hand or gy, you can use this, SS an unaffected Obelisk, Tribute 2 for a board break, then banish the GY and the monsters you just popped for damage and to deny grave resources. It seems more like a very roundabout DRNM into Raigeki that allows you to still OTK the same turn.

If we're talking SOUL ENERGY MAXX, sure - his single card quick-play special summon of a 4k unaffected by anything beatstick right in the battle phase is scary, lol. Like, Obelisk is either going to be used to swing for game, a shield to stop someone from OTKing you or to nuke the graveyard for some goofy burn OTK strats - and your opponent can't do anything about it.

Really do want a Dark Beckoning Beast or Spirit Gates for the God cards like what Ra got, but atleast with the new quick play spell, he can be summoned again. Not as consistently as Ra or Slifer now, cus both can back to back use Monster reborn.

You basically can't negate, in any way, the card or GY effect usage, as it covers "negate the activation" and "negate the effect" for every way you can use the card.

It’s funny seeing the revived sky God trap card being a reference to the last episode of the duel monsters anime and I VIBE WITH IT SO MUCH CAUSE THEY ADDED SILENT MAGICIAN as a nice reminder as well. Yugi played card of sanctity(anime version) to add 6 cards to his and atem hands then Atem used monster reborn during his turn to bring back Sliffer and ended up being negated tho due to the anime Gold sarcophagus. And upon reading the card effects this is a big good game to Konami for this card and a tribute to that said episode well played 😮‍💨🔥

Honestly, if slifer didn’t say “in attack position” it would honestly be able to see play in this meta with good enough support to absolutely protect (like the castle decks) and easily summon the card. Deck devistation virus is played as a funny but powerful tech right now as both spright and tearalament don’t have a single main deck monster with 2k or more attack. So if you were to summon a slifer and managed to make it uneffected by card effects, then splight basically auto loses, and tearlaments can only summon their fusion. But since slifer says in attack mode only, you can just special everything but spright elf in defense, and spright’s normal summon always summons another monster, or in this case even if they summon swap frog, slifer will put it in gy for ronin to banish to summon itself.

Spright's normal doesn't special another monster if you destroy the normal summoned Spright first. And guess what kind of summon Slifer's debuff effect also works on? That said, Sprights do have their own Hero Lives, so they wouldn't be completely dead. But if they need to draw the out then there is merit to your floodgate.

Lilith & Trap Trick can be used to search out the Slifer Trap. Still, the biggest problem with the combo is getting Slifer into the GY. Foolish Burial, Curious and Branded Fusion are all good methods.

Dzeeff, pure Ra is actually not bad now, I run a Ra deck as follows: 3x Ra 3x Sphere 1x Phoenix 3x Disciple 2x Guardian Slime 3x Reactor Slime 2x Ash 2x Ghost Sister 3x Pot of Prosperity 3x Ancient Chant 3x The True Sun God 1x Blaze Cannon 1x Millennium Revelation 3x Soul Crossing 1x Mound 1x CbtG 1x Foolish Burial 1x Change of Heart 1x Monster Reborn 1x Metal Reflect Slime 1x Sun God Unification Extra Deck: 2x Egyptian God Slime 1x Zeus 1x Liebe 1x Gustav 1x Number 77 1x Number 84 1x Number 35 1x Accesscode 1x I:P 1x Cross-Sheep 1x Knightmare Phoenix 1x Knightmare Cerberus 1x Linkuriboh 1x Almiraj The Deck is tight on space as it is but I'd like to find room for Harpie's Feather Duster and/or Lightning Storms at some point. Also might add an Apollousa to the ED. But this Deck can someone Ra legitimately almost every game, it's insanely consistent. Everything is searchable by True Sun God, even Ra's Disciple. Pot of Prosperity helps MASSIVELY with the consistency of the strategy, many hands you'll be one piece short of a full combo to turbo out Ra, and Prosperity just helps so much to allow you to dig for the missing piece, and unlike Extravagance which has to be used at the beginning of the turn, I can Foolish or Ancient Chant or whatever before using Prosperity to play what I can and then dig for the rest. There are a TON of two card combos that end on Ra and actually get you to Phoenix. Ancient Chant/True Sun God Ra's Disciple/True Sun God Reactor Slime/Ancient Chant True Sun God/Reactor Slime Reactor Slime/True Sun God There's even a REALLY roundabout way to get to Ra if open a bunch of DIVINE monsters + True Sun God, you use True Sun God, search Millennium Revelation, pit normal Ra, search Reborn, Reborn normal Ra, True Sun God eff to turbo Phoenix, done. No Tribute fodder needed. The deck can produce some awkward hands but they are almost always playable as long as you get creative and think outside the box, understanding all the possible interactions within the deck.

so tearlament already does the curios combo to get something like anti spell and with all the milling the deck does you could easily find one of slifer or the trap. this would basically give tearlament anti monster that also draws 4-6 in games 2 and 3 for decks that are less reliant on spells. right mow anti spell is so incredibly god with board breakers being the way to go against decks that simply cannot lose to hand traps but it is not a meme to think that playing a card that needs a bit of set up that basically says your opponent cannot summon monsters is good

I remember when i joked about a Slifer support that says "During your Damage step, draw your entire deck, but you cannot active effects from the hand (so no Exodia), at the end of the Damage Step, banish your entire hand, field (except this card), and GY face-down, if this card is in your GY at the end of your turn, you have to draw one card". People have already said exodia would work so I guess I will clarify why incase anyone is confused. Win conditions like Exodia aren't effects they're conditions. Once the conditions are met you win no matter what for said conditions. Ghostrick Angel of Mischief for example will still cause a win if skill drain is out.

So what I'm getting is this card is essentialy a +7 Activate effect draw till 6 cards( +5) And special summon slifer(+6) Graveyard effect Place monster report on top of deck + draw 1 card (+7) I just realized that is going to be a big slifer 7000 att/def Although this can potentially be a dead card as well But 2 garnets for an non-negateable +7 and a 6k att/def(7k after you reborn it on your turn) flood gate is well worth it Though it might be a slow

You don't even need to play 2 garnets, cutting Monster Reborn for the cost of "only" getting a +6 is probably worth it. I'd only play Reborn in a deck that would like to draw it (even if it isn't optimal & wouldn't be played otherwise), since in that case it's barely a garnet anyways

+Dzeef it's the revived sky god , well this is part a card of sanctity in the effect of making both players draw 6 cards (where its going by that cards anime effect for the TCG version of this being an entirely new card never having been on screen at any point in existence under what used to be 4kids Entertainment and now Konami Cross Media NY owning the show), it's allowed to special summon Slifer for free, banish this card and remove from play so this will banish itself, add one copy of monster reborn so as long as that's there with a divine beast in the GY, draw 1 card good protection onto slifer and this card, I like the other two cards as well as it makes the gods well supported along with their usual immunities and weaknesses for good balance and helps them out well

Honestly, they made Obelisk the Weakest God. Slifer is basically floodgate and advantage (2 of their cards draw a lot of shiet) while Ra is the Anime Deck Boss monster

How tides have changed. In the original anime Ra was the strongest with Obelisk and Slifer battling for second. Then they make it to the real world and Ra is the weakest and Obelisk is the strongest. Now with the latest support Ra is once again on top and Obelisk is slipping into last.

Can you not D.D. Crow the targets? It doesn't say "you can't chain", you just can't negate it. But if you D.D. Crow the Egyptian God out of the GY (assuming there's not another copy in there), you can stop the activation of it.

You can get to resolve the slifer trap on your own turn 1 with a lady of the labyrinth combo, just open tour guide and labrynth cooclock, or failing that, tour guide, labyrinth chandra or stovee and a phantom knight card. Combo is as follows: tour guide summon octhros, summon cherubini, octhros search lady, cherubini send ancient cloak (rhino warrior then cooclock if no cooclock), ancient cloak search shade brigadine, cooclock hand eff, lady special summon, shade activate, search the trap, make curious, send slifer, dump your hand, activate the trap and set up as you want with the draw 6.

I like that instead of giving the God Cards directly their "cannot be affected" effect - like in the anime - we're getting more of the "you cannot stop God support cards from activating" effect. This card might make slifer a stap in going first control decks, like for floodner set up your board send slifer to grave set this card. Then in there stand by flip it you draw 6 they draw 0, and they can't kill the wind barrier cause slifer blows up any normal summon with 2000 or less attack. Pulls with the monster reborn for next turn giving you 6000 atk on board with just slifer. Only tricky part would be reliably sending slifer to grave.

If I'm understanding the slifer card right, if you could get an extra divine beast in the graveyard before you start this, you get a 7K beatstick since you'd instantly draw the monster reborn you'd set up

I have a question, just like Obelisk, if Slifer is special summoned he will be destroyed at the end of the turn in which he was special summoned, but would that effect happen when special summoning Slifer with "The Revived Sky God"? And same question with Obelisk. Personal opinion, it would be crazy nice if Slifer and Oobelisk could stay on the field even after being special summoned

The effects on the new don't say anything about sticking around when special summoned, so no I'm afraid not. Obelisk does stick around if tribute summoned with an effect like Soul Crossing or Soul Energy MAX though. And as for Slifer; well there's a reason his Trap searches out Monster Reborn.

I've been playing around with the Slifer trap in a Danger Tear build, and frankly it's scarily consistent. If you get to Curious and use all the main deck Tear effects, the odds you can set up Slifer and the trap in the GY with Knightmare Gryphon is very high. On the most high roll hands, you end on Cross Sheep (to remove Knightmare Gryphon since it messes with Slifer), Slifer, Redoer to trigger Sheiren, and pretty assuredly a Havnis in hand since you're drawing 6 cards with a 10-15 card deck of mainly Tear monsters. It's definitely jank, and some decks can simply ignore the Slifer floodgate, but I imagine it can let you win out games by turn 3 simply because you have a completely fresh hand to play with again.

I don't think I'll ever get people who say they want God card retrains, especially ones whose names are always treated as the originals (meaning they can't be played with the real God cards and those real Gods can never be played in an optimal god deck even again) and whose best effects are made up whole cloth for those retrains. Like, if you don't want to play a God deck, no one is forcing you. Better decks exist. The only draw of a God deck is to play a given God card, and if they're not good enough for you and you're convinced they never will be with any level of support, just don't force yourself. I'm doubly baffled because a lot of their best support they got specifically because they weren't retrained, and could very well lose if they were now. I mean Ancient Chant, Millennium Revelation, Soul Energy MAX, and these 3 new cards were all made for these specific versions; and quite a few could be banned if Konami made some of the ridiculous retrains people suggest and those retrains interact with that support. They'd probably never be replaced with new support either, as I doubt there's as much incentive to support a game-original series as there is for the Gods. Is that really what you guys want in the God cards place? Generic 3-tribute monsters with beastly effects but no support? Just three 3-tribute LADDs to throw into whatever will take them?

I appreciate any kind of god card support we get, and I do think these can make a very fun addition to their respective decks. One other little combo you could pull off with The Revived Sky God's 2nd effect is to basically make The True Name work, even though that's not gonna be very consistent as you'll have to have it in your hand but still, it is a guaranteed True Name play

i mean with the slifer card you go can first and when its your opponents turn after their draw phase you activate it allowing you to get up to six cards in your hand and since your opponent already has six cards they do not draw anything.

I will test out the continous spell on my Floowanderzee deck teching Ra. The Slifer trap is completely broken in decks that can mill Slifer easily like Despia and Tearalaments (you know, two of the three decks in the format that are already better than the others by a country mile). I don't expect it to survive at 3 for long.
