yeah, I seriously don't know if I could handle getting roasted like that without taking it personally. at a certain point, the jokes just became abusive. not even funny. i get the comic was annoyed, but that dude was still a paying fan who wanted to come out and support him. kind of unfair for the comic to constantly talk about "how good of a job he's doing" by continuing to do his job and disparage the guy so much. a bit pompous. imagine anyone in any other profession unrelentlessly complaining about the conditions of the workplace to a customer they're actively serving, while putting another down who's within earshot. a bit off-putting to the non-problematic customer. i thought this would be an 18min portion of his act but it was really only 4 mins of jokes and 14 mins of ranting. hard to sympathize after 6mins as the "crowd work" became increasingly vicious. good lord.

I can confirm what Chris said, not every comedian can handle that. I worked at a comedy club in New York City and a few years ago before the pandemic a headliner was in the same situation, a woman sat in the front row and her laugh was just as bad as this guy; she sounded like a dolphin every time she laughed. And the comedian stopped his set and didn’t know how to handle it and asked her to leave because she was distracting him. Security came and walked her and her husband out and even as she was walking out she was laughing sounding like a dolphin in distress. So Kuddos to you Chris you are a true professional 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I feel like Bill and Chris keep the show going for the exact opposite reasons. It seems like with Chris that he feels the show's audience paid him, were understanding, and he really wanted to see if he could hold the room's attention and turn it into a good set, which he did. Bill went scorched earth and didn't care what anyone in the audience thought of his set. He was at "Fuck each one of you specifically" levels of over the crowd's horse shit by the end. Bill was staying on stage as a punishment and a middle finger to how horrible they were being to the previous acts. Chris just wants to put on a good show and see if he can pull it off. I'm sure he doesn't want to deal with refunding and all the headaches involved with that, too. (At least that's my take on how they acted and what they said in the moment and talking about it later.)

Another friend did an even bigger rip and he wasn't seated. He went full Sloth from the Goonies and started drooling while laughing and then collapsed to his knees while hitting his forehead on the table and breaking the table. We all played football.

Watched you live in Florida with the women that sat in front row that you thought was Latina and when she told you she wasn’t and you responded something along the lines “your plastic surgery says otherwise” I could not stop laughing.

Someone pay to sit this man front row at every Jimmy Carr show
@SilleeJimi7 ай бұрын
Oh man, even Jimmy would be delighted at first, then possibly a little annoyed, and then he'd just turn all of his comedic energy onto roasting that guy's life and his laugh 😂😂😂

I’m lonely on thanksgiving. Needed this. Comedy is all about giving someone a laugh when they need it the most. And chris, you just did that. Thank you

This is Chrissy’s Burr-Philly moment. The already upward trajectory of his career is about to catapult another ten-fold. Comedy gold right here

😅🤣 wild stretch there. Diff stakes I would say. Burrs crowd hated him and he said the most awful shit he could think of and ended up winning them over. Not sure this will move the needle for Chris although deff a fun watch! Well done Chris!

I’m a very patient and understanding person. I’m overly nice to a fault. I put up with way more than I should, and do anything to avoid confrontation. It takes a LOT for me to snap. And when I tell you I would SNAP 😂 I was waiting any moment for it to happen for you

This was the best stand up I have seen in the past 400 days. Props to both these guys. I actually saw Chris live before he had any fame and was blown away. Never had I seen a no name comedian and thought they were gonna be big. But I did that night. So happy you're seeing success!
