So going back in time, to us it might seem terrible, but to the ppl that lived then.... What they had was their technology.... Whatever time period. Just like us they were happy or sad... Just normal. Our technology would seem dumb and worthless to them. It doesnt translate. If I couldve been born back then, not knowing about any current tech, I think life would be what you made it. IMO the world wouldve been so much bigger, things like traveling into unknown places would be rough, but exciting as fuck.

Yeah that sounds like burnt out to me.. Charlie plays video games for a living, so he doesn’t have a sense of “wasting time” Playing video games.. It’s no longer a free time activity or something to do to enjoy some time to yourself. It’s all about streaming the games for fans, and like he said : the fans basically carry him through games now. Definitely sounds like he’s burnt out on video games in general.

@@jnightmare0 I always treated gaming like a hobby. It really depends how much boomers beat you down I guess, but I know people playing games well into their 30s. I feel like I waste my time if I do an 8 hour sesh, but that's usually because I neglect to do something else. To avoid this "wasted my time" guilt I usually go for a hike or do some chores first, so I can say "at least I did that, whew"

To Kayas point about traveling back: Most of history isn't nearly as bad as Andrew thinks. Especially recent history. Unless you're traveling back to the great depression for a weekend holiday, you'll probably enjoy the novelty of it. Read a book under a tree in the forests that used to span the urban hellhole that is now New York City, for example.

I don't blame Charlie. Even though I don't stream I basically only want to play videogames with the promise of the reward which is people's approval, and it blows. For more than a year now I have been trying to play videogames competitively in the hopes that someone can say "Wow you are really good" I mean I like to have knowledge about certain games but after I do, I am never able to play them like they were originally. The last time I must have enjoyed myself playing a videogame must have been playing Super Mario Rpg for the Snes. That shit is absolutely adorable and it lights up my heart and my nostalgia of being a kid.

This week I'd say I like the Iron Sky movies. I just watched the second movie Iron Sky- The Coming Race and it is great. It's just a goofy fun action/sci-fi/comedy movie and honestly it's not done top notch, special effects aren't great, actings not great, dialogues not gewat but the thing that makes it good is that it does not in the slightest take itself seriously. At all. There is a literal scene with Adolf Hitler as an Illuminati lizard person riding a T-Rex. Just some hilarious concepts brought to life and very enjoyable.
