Researchers from Belgium in 2015 showed that Ants and other insects (also Arachnids i.e Spiders) pass the mirror test, research shows they have subjective experience and the same capability for consciousness as we do and all creatures do. I say capability for consciousness instead of just consciousness because we can't prove consciousness in Humans or ourselves or anyone or anything, just thet capability for such. Punching any creature, harming or killing them is wrong. Even if they didn't think and feel they are still living organisms and therefore it's cruel and wrong to.
