So true and I feel like we forget this quite often. I've found that weirdly enough, the uncomfortable moments or opportunities to grow mentally or in my perspective are what I initially want to avoid. But whenever I just take that step and experience whatever it is, then the next slightly bigger opportunity comes in. It sounds cheesy, but I truly believe the universe puts in front of you the next thing you need to grow and understand next. If you miss that opportunity, it will keep coming to you and causing a rub or suffering in your life. Some people keep avoiding that growth opportunity for most of their life and the world stays small. But if we can have the courage to stay open to it and the learning inherent in the opportunity our world continues to grow. Love your perspective and style of the video. Much love!

Interesting, but it's so true delayed gratification activities are the key to success in the long term. Cause not that many results come at first in most goals, overtime your consistent actions compound and that will help you achieve your goals.💯

Better to grind in life than to grind in videogames. This is the basic thought why I never play games that require a lot of time, (nor I watch TV shows). RuneScape is the perfect example of timewaste. Not at the beginning, but when you have to grind unimaginable amount to gain just one level in a skill, and I didn't even talked about maxing out the skill. And you can max out a few dozens of skill. Etc. And when you think about the fact that you ground a lot and it's just a fragment of the effort you have to put in to max out a skill, because it gets exponentially more and more XP to level up, so when you think about it, it's just stops you to put in more time in the game, you just realize how extremely useless it is. We can do so much truly useful things. I could spend my whole life just by improving my physique and learning to move better, learn new complex moves and that's just the physical part, by improving your mind can spend so much more, because there are a lot of possibilities, so much things to explore and discover.

Shower thoughts are the cleanest! But if its hard for us to delay gratification, we all need to reward ourselves for all the good small habits we do, until the massive result of change is the gratification we so desire! We just initially mask it by dangling a treat for ourselves!

This video reminds me of James Clear's philosophy about identity and system based change over outcome change. Working on your habits and self-perception will naturally lead to better outcomes. This advice is 100% accurate. As soon as I stopped blaming external factors for my own failures I started improving... it was way too easy blaming my wheelchair for everything, then I did a 180 and started with losing 60 pounds of weight in 3 months and learning web development in between (on youtube because I'm penniless). I'm not even halfway done with anything, but my life has not been this good in 7 years. All I'm missing is a stable source of income and companionship, then I can call myself happy. But I'm not ready for that yet, first I need to be the best version of myself.

this is so important. needed to hear this, not because i didn't know about it - but rather I never could find it within myself to articulate the incessant chatter that was happening at the back of my head. A large part of it is perspective, actually no - The whole part of it is your perspective, because at the end of it it's really all you have. Took a world-wide pandemic & lots of time to myself to really be able to take ownership of this concept and unpack this seeming obvious but powerful idea. 'If you want success, figure out the price, then pay it' or to put simply, 'if you want your life to be better - then choose to make it better.'

Focus on the process of developing your character and the rest will take care of it's self. Fixing the root cause of your problems internally rather than the external self.

I've thought this exact same thing! If life was a video game and people were 100% certain that their efforts would lead to "leveling up" how much more would we do? The problem is because this world is so chaotic we often think our efforts wont come to anything or that we will fail and we end up giving up. If we were GUARENTEED that with enough effort we could "win" the game....Think about how much more motivated we would be! We all need to remind ourselves of that. Love your perspective and insights as always!

Was thinking about this awhile back. People spend so much time leveling, grinding, and gaining xp on virtual characters, but very little working on themselves. Made me question how can I take my previous gaming experience and apply that to the real world to level my own xp in life.

What camera do you use for your videos? Your works are extremely professional. I am thinking of dabbling in filmmaking, but first I need a decent camera.

I really liked what you brought up in the video. I was able to relate a lot of what I have been thinking about over quarantine to what you have said. It truly does come to how we can internally improve ourselves through hard work rather than trying to satisfy our needs at a moment. And if we do not procrastinate on those ways we can improve our skills, it also helps create that feeling of accomplishment, though, we shouldn't immediately expect this feeling as it might take continuous steps to reach our goal. However, the end result is really worth it after you set a goal for yourself and work towards accomplishing it the right way.

give a man a fish and you’ve fed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you’ve fed him for a lifetime... only the man is yourself and the fish are life skills.

I just recently had a girlfriend break up with me, and as much as it sucked, I feel like all of the advice that I have received from this channel about self improvement has really helped me bounce back a lot better than I could previously. I really wanna think you for the ideas and mindset that you have given me since I have found your channel.
