I’m really glad Lyle was on especially since it contributed to one of the top moments of The Snark Tank at 48:06 where Sween got shutdown from an outside party that it’s not just Chris, everyone thinks he’s wrong. I’ve never really seen someone with worse hot takes and more downright incorrect ones than Tom Sweeney. Fucking beautiful moment. Thanks Lyle.

So the nintendo controller thing, apparently the Super Nintendo controllers were made to accomodate games like Street Fighter II because capcom told them the old NES controlers weren't gonna cut it. Later on during the Wii era, Capcom AGAIN told nintendo to make the pro controller for Monster Hunter Tri since they knew nobody would have too much fun using the wii remote all the time after being handheld so long with the series. So we can thank capcom for kicking nintendo in the ass the few times we needed some decent controllers.

i see where sweeny comes from with the omni-man/hulk/superman argument, since superman has powers so insane that not even green lantern could will them with the ring, but the hulk has the ability to lose control of his anger and become green Schwarzenegger, where as omniman is an alien. his strength and flight are biological factors like superman's.
