It’s why Tony decided to get rid of Feech Lamana in season 5 before he became a bigger problem. Janice just saved him the trouble. And since he helped dispose of the body, he’s an accessory after the fact. Throughout the run of the show, there were times when Tony lucked out and people died before they became big problems: Ray Curto, Gene Pontecorvo, even Chrissy’s death was a opportunity taken by tony after an unexpected event.

That opening scene with Barone was one of the most realistic in the series. The rain and weather setting mood. The dialog. Tension between characters. And the negotiations were were so authentic. Much more believable than Jackie falling for Tony's Richie the rat fable.

@@Lookhaz Maybe I missed subtext, but it really seemed like Tony was on board for him to survive. Every time he saw Ralph he would tell him "we were gonna give him a pass remember" So, I dont know. I think Ralph saw no other way. Tony knew what happened but couldn't really say anything. To quote Pussy from ep 1 "they know but they don't know" especially considering everyone basically knew Jackie was dealing drugs.
