@@timbango2090 agreed. Everyone is thinking bias. I do like certain Theo Von podcast episodes. Especially the ones with Duncan Trussell. But I’m not a Theo von stan, so I can look at this with an unbiased view. And what Theo did here runs right along the lines of someone who is guilty of stealing content. When you’re a standup comedian, it’s EXTREMELY bad to steal jokes thanks to Carlos Mencia. So anyone who’s accused will instantly go on the defense. And comedians aside, the first thing a guilty person will do is project the guilt onto someone else. Which is what Theo did here. He instantly pivoted to someone stealing his jokes. And 99% of theos stories are made up. You can tell which ones are the 1% of them that’s true because he gives exact details. Like the persons full name in the story. He didn’t give any details to the stolen car…I think he 100% stole it from shameless. He even talked about liking the show in the past

Not lie. But he can be claiming his feeling without him actually knowing. He knows Santino and Santino is on Dave, I feel like they can dish this out without making it public. There's a lot of parallel thinking in all kinds of media and art. To claim something is stolen there better be some hard evidence, or else you're just talking about feelings.

I think your example, in its own, is evidence that the show writers of Dave/Lil Dicky are not (intentionally) stealing material from Theo. There is only a finite amount of topics that can be spoken of, and eventually there will be some overlap in similarities between jokes. I think for this to gain any credibility, Theo needs to provide concrete evidence of jokes being stolen from him. And even at that, I think for anything to be "confirmed", it would need to be, more or less, a word-for-word plagiarization of Theo's material.

I think Theo was extremely embarrassed/irritated that she called him out on the shameless thing and he deflected. You can see it in his movement afterwards....Theo is extremely uncomfortable, fidgeting, messing with the paper and the mic constantly and he doesn't list any specifics, which is something he doesn't normally do when trying to prove a point....he normally goes into details/speaks faster and more clearly because he doesn't like the implication of being wrong/a liar. This time he just threw out the little Dicky thing and then fidgeted uncomfortably. I think that girl really threw him off because he isn't used to people just being outright nasty/aggressive like her.

When she said ‘that’s on shameless’, something weird happened with Theo. They were going to go right past it & he stopped to make sure everyone knew he didn’t steal material from the show. Then instantly deflects & puts the blame on Dave for stealing. That girl either hit a nerve or is really onto something here 😅 I’ve never seen Theo like that before.

Chile this ain’t nothing new 😂 every single era of comedians stayed tussling with each other. It’s been way worse than this. You got to watch some old documentaries! & some of them back then came from the streets Fr not for fake like most these new comedians so you already know what it was! 😂 In fact, here recently, since the Carlos Mencia thing up until the Schaub thing, the comedy community was probably the quietest it’s ever been as far as comedians being at each other. For the time between the Carlos Mencia issue & Brendan Schaub darkening comedy’s door, it seemed like most comedians were cool with each other for a little bit. Not to say there hasn’t been any drama but I mean comedian vs comedian drama specifically, not the Chris Delia, Dane Cook, Bryan Callen type sht.
