The majority of followers don't realise that their heroes are people too, constantly evolving in their outlook of the world. I tend to agree with you on many of your core values but even if that wasn't the case, you still deserve credit and respect for being brutally honest and transparent about yourself and your views, and you actually practice what you preach.

33 y/o Elliott was indeed king. Self-Reliance, Best version of yourself, intrinsic motivation, Emerson, no political red-pilled BS. Not overly religious, able to draw from many books and ideas, not just christianity. You were helping so many people. Put them all in a room, that version would kick any others ass, no contest.

I think that the Christian fase is the best Elliot I have ever seen. Way more grounded and calm. Do not mind that he uses bible reference all the time, the bible has the most knowledge of all the worldy books combined. But I get your point, from a wordly persective 33 was the best. I think in 2-3 years he will handle that 33 like a child with all the wisdom that he gained.

Relativism is not masculine. The fact that Elliott has found Christ is a sign of maturity-moving from a yes man, friendly towards everything, to a man of true conviction.

We muslim dont see Elliott as a Christian. We see him as a big brother with immense wisdom. Christ (peace be upon him) is also our beloved Prophet & Messiah. 🙏 May Allah hasten his return
@ThunderMaximus9 ай бұрын
@@frontlinestrength Asserting that "Relativism is not masculine" is a claim that rests on shaky grounds both conceptually and sociologically. This statement betrays a fundamental misunderstanding of both relativism and masculinity. True strength lies in the capacity to adapt and to consider multiple points of view, not in the rigidity of thought. Saying "relativism is not masculine" is like saying "Hey, if you don't pick a side and stick to it no matter what, you're not a real man." That's just plain old gatekeeping and a weak stance. It suggests that someone's manhood is so fragile it can't handle a little complexity or change. That's not strength, that's insecurity wearing a tough-guy mask. Your "Yes-Man" fallacy doesn't make sense. Relativism does not mean indiscriminately saying yes to every idea, but evaluating them based on their merits in different contexts. This whole idea that you got to be a "man of true conviction" by shutting out every other viewpoint but your own is a one-way ticket to echo-chamber city. It's not about being a "yes-man," it's about having the guts to question your own beliefs, to refine them, to grow. That's real strength. It takes more courage to challenge yourself and evolve than to just plant your feet and say, "This is it. I'm not moving." Drawing from many books and ideas, including but not limited to Christianity, should not be misinterpreted as an absence of conviction but as an indication of robust intellectual curiosity and critical thinking. It is easy and intellectually lazy to entrench oneself within the confines of a single worldview.

I discovered Elliott in 2013 when he was like a badass big brother that seemed decently grounded in reality. Then came more of a street version of Elliott and then more of a hipster Elliott (or maybe I have the two backwards). I stopped following Elliott in 2016 or 2017 because I felt he was an inconsistent individual and I find it hard to trust or look up to inconsistent people that probably don’t even know who they are. I rediscovered Elliott in 2020 and so far I like this version of Elliott and all of the content he currently releases.

I've been watching your videos since ~2014 and have witnessed the seasonal changes of your life. I relate to your cycles of life with all the intense ups and downs as someone who experiences episodic bouts of depression and anxiety. As I reflect upon my life as a 24 year old in 2007, that's when I graduated from college straight into the Great Recession. I moved states, got a decent job and then got laid off in 2009. Needless to say my life was mostly on pause during my mid to late 20s. I was a lazy ass sloth most of those years until I turned 30 in 2013. I moved states again at 30, and it was tough initially, as I moved from one temporary rental to another. I started to force myself socialize more and started powerlifting in 2014 ( I was doing inconsistent bro splits prior), and my life headed in a better direction overall. At age 36 (2019) is when I started socializing less, drinking more, and reverting back to my lazier slothful self of my mid to late 20s. Then covid happened, which caused me to freefall and be the unhealthiest I've been in over a decade mentally and physically. I went on a 2-year alcohol bender then quit in Jan 2022, which is when I started to emerge from that remarkably dark place. I've had ups and downs since, but life has been decent as I entered my 40s a few months ago. I will be moving in a few months to be with someone I love, and we are planning to start a family! Just when I thought I was destined to be a childless person who casually dates until I died, I found someone I am compatible with and could see myself with forever! I was indifferent about having kids until 2019 when I discovered 4 generations of a massive happy family through 23andMe. Seeing the joy and love of them made me realize not all families are dysfunctional like the immediate I was raised in.

The irony that I started following you at 24, and right now, at the end of being 35, I've finally decided I can't hang on. I have resisted admitting to myself that you're way too far gone and never coming back for a long time. Since probably 2019 I've tried to hang on because you were like a family member to me. I met you. I got the classic camo shirt from you. I have your signed book up on my mantle. And for years now I've tried my hardest to think you'll come back around, but I have basically accepted that it'll never happen. We had very similar paths in life, but where you took a hard right at 36, I am taking a hard left. Still kinda stings because I genuinely loved you like you were my brother, but that's life. Despite the fact that I don't agree with basically anything you say and more, I wish only the best.

I remember the last time when Elliott went on Stephan Molyneux's show. Stefan was concerned with the state of masculinity in the west and the trans epidemic. Elliott brushed him off and only gave him the "there's nothing wrong with it, the world is changing". The whole interview was painful to watch. It wasn't the first time he interviewed Elliott but this was the first time Elliott seemed like he was sabotaging it and burning the bridge. Mostly only gave Stefan one word answers and after a lot of awkward silences the interview ended prematurely. I always wondered what was up with that if it did it on purpose. Right then I thought that he was gone to the woke mind virus. Seeing Elliott go full 180, going conservative and returning Christianity was totally unexpected to me. But it also played a role in the chain of events that ed me from my new age phase to return back to Christianity so thank you for that Elliott.

It's been a minute. "Evolving Honestly Out Loud" is a gift. For the watcher and the one recording. I recently turned 56, the same age my Mom was when she passed away when i was 17. It's both a reflecting period and a grateful one. I'll be and have been doing much contemplation. Having said that, I've distanced myself from everyone from about 4 years or so ago from everyone seeing Trump and his antics as proper. Yes, evolution didn't stop at our opposable thumbs...it's a conscious evolution. Myself, i don't resonate with lying, vindictive, mischievous, trouble-making human beings or those that support that. In closing, we're all evolving, some out-loud, others quietly...but we are evolving. So with that, may this message find you clear, coherent, mindful and with peaceful thoughts filling up your heart and soul. Peace! 🌱✌

Consider these cycles like a wheel. It doesn't matter what point of the rim you're at while it's going round. The important thing is what and where the center is. The center is that thing which never changes while the wheel is spinning. I've been following you for over a decade and I'm not upset by any of the stages you've gone through. I don't care what your current ideas are. Ideas may come and go. They're not important. What I like about you is your core, your heart. I bet a lot of people lose themselves, which turns them towards addiction, but then start making content about their downfall which ultimately keeps them more stuck in the downfall itself. I don't think Elliott is doing that, but I guarantee a lot of these youtubers are screwing themselves with the literal content they're making because they aren't self-aware enough to realize they aren't *actually* healing by making these videos but are, instead, just reinforcing the negativity already in their minds by spending so much time thinking about their problems and how to turn it into content.
