Hi Dr Nolte, Firstly a HUGE THANK YOU for your informative posts, really appreciated. You explain everything so well, clearly. I also follow you and many others on podcasts to learn as much as I can. My fasting bloods here in Australia were 6.5, pathology suggested a fasting glucose tolerance test but my Dr said we don't worry about you doing this until you are at a 7!!!!!!! Why WAIT! So this is why I am trying to help myself. I've totally cut added carbs, mainly one slice of sourdough for my avo/eggs/tomatoes weekend breakfast. No alcohol no processed foods no snacking no junk food OMAD, fast from 8pm til first thing in the morning 2glasses of filtered water then coffee with fresh milk at 8am. Under chronic stress weight gain not normal for me borderline now Hasimoto:( Just a fav can you pls lower your background music, as at times it is hard to concentrate on what you are saying. Sorry, you are such a brilliant speaker, it at times has high pitch tones in the music. Some IG accounts sadly get override by background music so sad as it's hard to concentrate on their important fantastic information. Thk you so much from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤️

Surprisingly accurate information. In summary it is really better if you focus on meat and low starch vegetables. The heart healthy fats are animal fats, Olive,coconut, and avocado.

Animal fat is DEFINITELY NOT heart healthy fat. The Akins diet, heavy on meat, inventor died of a Heart Attack. Be smart.

@@LindaBalkin-h8j It really depends on a persons individual genetic metabolic profile. The majority, and I mean vast majority, of people do well on animal fats. You need to educate yourself about lipidology MUFAS and PUFAS. Petter Attia gives a great essay. My uncle died after "doing" Atkins diet because he also drank like a fish.

@@LindaBalkin-h8j total misinformation. Animal fat is good for us. Dr. Atkins died from Traumatic Brain Injury. He slipped and fell on an icy New York sidewalk. The Atkins died was first started by the body builder and guru that trained most of the body builders of the 50's through 70's Joe Weider. White flour and white sugar were known as white death.

This is very interesting as soybean oil is in I cant believe its not butter which is recommended by the American heart association over butter. However you caution soybean oil can make insulin resistance worse which is beleved to cause plaque in the arteries. My #1 goal is to reduce plaque as I have Coronary artery disease. I used to use kerrygold but it was alot higher in saturated fats which many claim causes heart disease.

How many minutes after eating should I check my blood sugar?
@drmorgannolte Жыл бұрын
The optimal levels suggested by Levels Health is that the post-meal glucose response is 110-115 anytime after eating with no higher than a 30 point jump from baseline before the meal. The more standard definition is less than 140 two hours after eating.

I would like to see a video addressing the inclusion of canola or vegetables oil in breads. There are some whole wheat/whole grain breads that state that the bread contains less than 2% of canola oil or vegetable oil. Is this bread considered inflammatory if it is less than 2% of these seed oils?

Hi I have a quick question on sugar. I'm not diabetic, but last 2 medical related visits my weight has me in the "headed to pre-diabetic town quickly" train so I'm taking steps to turn it around started last year with picking up multiple days of exercise class at the Y, but I wasn't loosing any weight. (Yep the portion thing, not moving soon after eating, processed extra sugar shoved down the hatch (cake is a weakness 😭), fried stuffs, taking the extra biscuit at dinner etc. was culprit. Changed that last week starting on your food guide & I.F.) Since the issue with manufactured foodstuffs is the processing & preservatives & stuff being added for extension of shelf life, color & stuff, would organic pure unprocessed sugar from whatever plant/fruit source technically be okay in very small quantities (like a tsp in morning/evening coffee) a few days out of a week?
@drmorgannolte Жыл бұрын
Hey there! We view things from a good-better-best model. It sounds like you're making several dietary/lifestyle changes at once, and if having some natural sugar in your coffee makes the other changes more doable and sustainable then go for it. I do SweatLeaf stevia drops in my coffee occasionally now as I find that if I have sweetener in my coffee first thing in the morning my sugar cravings are worse throughout the day.

Why _wouldn't_ I want to eat like animals with the shortest lifespans on Earth? Good idea!
@FoodiesVacations9 ай бұрын
Keto only works until you stop doing it. Most people can not keep from eating carbs. Mostly because they don’t understand about hormones… the real reason we crave carbs. The key is to do defensive eating. Eat to control your metabolic hormones… not your carbs. 😊

@@bellenesatan- wrong. The people with the longest lifespan are from Hong Kong and they eat the most meat. Meat only becomes a problem when you eat all the other junk with it: sausage on pizza, hamburger with a bun and fries, etc.

Go walk after meal 15-20 min , don’t sit down during the day , I eat standing up . Fidgeting all day . Get a Fitbit or something similar to see your steps and aim for 10000 a day . Anytime in the day do random exercises like squat to pickup things off the floor or just do 10 , same with bicep curls , grab cans or anything to do them etc… no need for gym . Find a KZbin video on line dancing you want to learn etc.. make it fun 🤩
